Dubai Trip Cost from India: The Complete 2026 Budget
Every rupee of a Dubai holiday, from the air ticket to the dirham you hand the abra driver – with three worked budgets and the months when the same trip costs a third less.
How much does a Dubai trip cost from India? For one person sharing a room on a 4-night trip, a realistic all-in figure is ₹50,000 to ₹1,20,000, depending mostly on the hotel and the season. A couple staying in a 4-star hotel should plan for about ₹1.6 to 2.3 lakh, and a family of four on a 5-night holiday for about ₹3.2 to 4.3 lakh. Those totals include return flights, the UAE visa, hotel, transfers, the main paid attractions, meals, local travel and insurance. Shopping is extra.
This guide breaks those numbers into separate costs so you can build your own budget or check a quote line by line. All figures are as of November 2026, converted at about ₹26 to one UAE dirham (AED), and rounded. Fares and hotel rates change by the week, so read them as ranges, not promises. If you only want land-package prices, our Dubai tour packages page lists live packages; this page is about the whole trip, including everything packages leave out.

"Comfortable" is a 4-star in Al Barsha, Business Bay or near a metro station, private transfers and a private Abu Dhabi day. "Premium" is a 5-star in Downtown, the Marina or on the Palm, prime-time tickets and more taxis than trains.
Flights to Dubai from Indian cities: what a return ticket costs
The air ticket is the single largest cost for budget travellers and the one that swings most. Typical return economy fares, booked four to eight weeks ahead, as of November 2026:
| From | Non-stop time | Normal weeks | Peak weeks | Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ahmedabad | About 3 h | ₹14,000 – 22,000 | ₹28,000 – 40,000 | Sharjah flights often cheaper |
| Mumbai | About 3 h | ₹18,000 – 28,000 | ₹35,000 – 50,000 | Most competition of any Indian city |
| Pune | About 3 h | ₹18,000 – 30,000 | ₹32,000 – 45,000 | One nightly non-stop; Mumbai is the fallback |
| Delhi | About 3½ – 4 h | ₹20,000 – 32,000 | ₹38,000 – 55,000 | Wide choice; Diwali and Christmas peaks are sharp |
| Jaipur / Lucknow | About 3½ – 4 h | ₹20,000 – 32,000 | ₹35,000 – 50,000 | Fewer daily flights; book earlier |
| Hyderabad | About 3¾ – 4 h | ₹18,000 – 28,000 | ₹30,000 – 45,000 | Sankranti is the local peak |
| Bengaluru | About 4 h | ₹20,000 – 32,000 | ₹35,000 – 50,000 | Late-night departures are common |
| Chennai | About 4 h | ₹20,000 – 32,000 | ₹35,000 – 50,000 | Pongal and summer push fares up |
| Kochi / Kozhikode / Thiruvananthapuram | About 4 – 4½ h | ₹17,000 – 28,000 | ₹40,000 – 65,000 | Gulf-diaspora routes: Onam, Eid and summer peaks are steep |
| Kolkata | About 5 h | ₹25,000 – 40,000 | ₹40,000 – 60,000 | Fewer non-stops; Durga Puja is the peak |
- Children pay almost the adult fare. Only infants under two travel at a small fixed charge, without a seat.
- Baggage is part of the price. A low-cost fare with 20 kg and a full-service fare with 30–35 kg can differ by less than the cost of buying 10 extra kilos later. Price the bags before choosing the airline.
- Sharjah and Abu Dhabi: flying into either can save ₹2,000–6,000 per ticket on peak dates. Count the taxi or transfer to Dubai (₹2,500–6,000 per car) before deciding.

Before you fly: visa, insurance, TCS and forex costs
| Item | Cost as of November 2026 | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| UAE tourist visa, 30 days single entry | Government fee AED 252 + 5% VAT (about ₹6,900); ₹7,000 – 9,000 through an agent | Same price for children; not refunded if refused |
| UAE tourist visa, 60 days | About AED 370 (about ₹9,600); ₹10,000 – 14,000 through an agent | Only worth it for long family visits |
| Visa on arrival | Roughly AED 100 – 350 at the airport | Only for Indians with a valid US, UK or EU visa or residence, or listed residence permits |
| Travel insurance, 5 days | ₹500 – 1,500 per person; more for seniors | Medical care in Dubai's private hospitals is expensive; do not skip it |
| TCS on an overseas tour package | Flat 2% of the package price since 1 April 2026 | Not a cost in the end: it is credited against your income tax when you file the return |
| GST on a tour package | 5% of the package value | Shown on the invoice; a package price "plus GST" is not the final figure |
| Forex card or credit card markup | About 0–3.5% of what you spend, plus GST on the fee | A zero-markup forex card or card saves ₹1,500–3,000 on a family trip |
| Data | About ₹400 – 1,200 for a 5–7 day eSIM | Hotel and mall Wi-Fi covers most needs |
Visa documents, processing times and refusal reasons are explained in our Dubai visa for Indians guide. We prepare and submit visa applications for our travellers, but approval is always the UAE authority's decision. A short-lived Abu Dhabi offer that covered the visa for Indians booking three hotel nights there ended on 31 October 2026; it may come back, but do not count on it in a budget today.
Hotel cost in Dubai by area and star rating
Room rates for two adults per night with breakfast, winter season (November to March). Summer rates for the same rooms are typically 30–50% lower; New Year's Eve and the Shopping Festival weekends are 30–100% higher.
| Category | Typical areas | Per room per night | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Budget / 2–3 star | Deira, Bur Dubai, Karama, Al Barsha side streets | ₹4,000 – 7,500 | Shoppers, vegetarian families who want to walk to Indian restaurants |
| 4-star | Al Barsha, Business Bay, Sheikh Zayed Road, Deira Creek | ₹7,000 – 13,000 | Most first-time families and couples |
| 5-star city | Downtown, DIFC, Business Bay | ₹14,000 – 30,000 | Burj Khalifa and Fountain views, honeymoons |
| 5-star beach resort | Palm Jumeirah, JBR, Marina, Jumeirah | ₹20,000 – 45,000+ | Pool-and-beach holidays, special occasions |
| Serviced apartment | Barsha Heights, Marina, Downtown | ₹8,000 – 20,000 for 1–2 bedrooms | Families of four or more who want a kitchen |
- Families of four: most standard rooms in Dubai take two adults and one child. Two children usually means a family room, connecting rooms or an apartment, which can add 40–80% to the hotel line. Check occupancy rules before comparing prices.
- Tourism Dirham: Dubai's per-room nightly fee has historically been about AED 7 to 20, rising with the hotel's star rating. Under a 2026 relief package, hotels registered with Dubai's tourism department may stop collecting it for the time being, so whether you pay it depends on the property. Budget about ₹1,500 – 2,500 for 4 nights in case it applies.
- Card deposit: hotels block AED 200 – 1,000 per room per night on a credit card at check-in, released after departure. It is not a cost, but it uses your card limit.
- Location saves money: a 4-star near a metro station often works out cheaper overall than a 3-star that needs a taxi every evening.
Getting around Dubai: transfer, taxi and metro costs
| Option | Approximate cost | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| Private airport transfer (car, one way) | ₹2,500 – 4,500 | Families with luggage, late-night arrivals |
| Airport taxi to Downtown or Bur Dubai | About AED 50 – 90 (₹1,300 – 2,400) | Couples and solo travellers |
| Dubai Metro, single trip | About AED 3 – 9 by zone; day pass about AED 20–25 | Airport, Karama, Downtown, Mall of the Emirates, Marina |
| Nol card | A one-time card fee plus credit, per traveller | Metro, tram, buses and water buses |
| City taxi, short ride | AED 20 – 50 | Evenings, groups of three or four |
| Creek abra crossing | A dirham or two per person | Gold and Spice Souks from Bur Dubai |
| Private car for an Abu Dhabi day | ₹12,000 – 20,000 per car | Grand Mosque, BAPS Mandir, Yas Island |
| Seat on a shared Abu Dhabi tour | ₹3,500 – 6,000 per person | Couples and solo travellers on a budget |
A couple who uses the metro by day and taxis after dinner spends about ₹6,000 – 9,000 on local travel in 4 days; a family that takes taxis everywhere easily spends double. Ride-hailing apps work in Dubai, but in peak hours they cost more than metered taxis.
Attraction ticket prices for the 2026–27 season
Gate or official online prices per adult, as of November 2026. Children usually pay 20–40% less; under-threes are mostly free. Packages often include the first five at lower contracted rates.
| Attraction | Adult price (approx.) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Burj Khalifa At the Top, levels 124–125, non-peak | AED 160 – 190 (₹4,200 – 5,000) | Morning or after 7.30 pm; peak afternoon and sunset slots cost more |
| Burj Khalifa, level 148 | About ₹10,000 – 14,000 | Lounge, refreshments, short queue |
| Evening desert safari, shared, with barbecue | AED 150 – 250 (₹4,000 – 6,500) | Premium camps AED 400 – 500; private car AED 900 – 1,200 |
| Dhow dinner cruise (Creek or Marina) | ₹2,500 – 5,000 | Marina cruises cost more than the Creek |
| Dubai Frame | About AED 50 – 55 (₹1,300 – 1,450) | One of the best-value views in the city |
| Dubai Miracle Garden | AED 100 adult, AED 80 child, plus VAT | Season 15 opened 8 October 2026; closes in the summer |
| Global Village | AED 25 weekdays, AED 30 Friday to Sunday | Season 31 opened 14 October 2026 and runs to May 2027; food and rides extra |
| Theme parks (IMG Worlds, Aquaventure, Legoland, Ferrari World) | About AED 300 – 380 (₹7,800 – 9,900) each | Online and two-park offers are often cheaper |
| Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo | About AED 150 – 200 | Main tank is visible free from the mall |
| Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, BAPS Hindu Mandir | Free entry | Book a time slot; the mandir is closed on Mondays |
Not on this season's list: the Museum of the Future shut on 1 September 2026 and is expected to reopen early in 2027, and the Burj Al Arab is closed for restoration until around October 2027. Any quote that charges for either between now and then is out of date.
Free things that fill a day: the Dubai Fountain shows every evening, the Al Fahidi historical quarter, JBR and Kite Beach, the Marina walk, the Souk Madinat waterways and window-shopping in the Gold Souk cost nothing.
Food and shopping: daily spending
| Meal | Typical price |
|---|---|
| Pure-veg Indian thali in Bur Dubai or Karama | AED 25 – 45 (₹650 – 1,200) |
| Mall food-court meal | AED 35 – 60 |
| Mid-range sit-down dinner, per person | AED 80 – 150 |
| Fine dining or hotel buffet, per person | AED 250 – 500+ |
| Bottle of water / coffee | AED 2 – 5 / AED 15 – 25 |
With breakfast in the hotel, a vegetarian traveller eating at Indian restaurants spends roughly ₹1,500 – 2,000 a day; someone mixing food courts with one proper dinner spends ₹2,500 – 3,500. The desert safari and dhow cruise include dinner, which saves two evenings' food.
Shopping is the budget-breaker. Set a separate figure for it. Gold is sold at the day's rate plus a making charge, which is where bargaining happens; electronics are rarely cheaper than in India after customs. On purchases above a small minimum from registered shops, tourists can reclaim most of the 5% VAT at the airport, less a processing fee. Indian customs allows only a limited duty-free value on return, and the larger jewellery allowance is for Indians who have lived abroad for more than a year, so check the current limits before buying gold on a short holiday.
Three worked budgets: couple, family of four and solo
Couple, 4 nights / 5 days, 4-star, flying from Mumbai or Delhi
| Item | For two |
|---|---|
| Return flights | ₹40,000 – 60,000 |
| Two visas | ₹14,000 – 18,000 |
| Hotel, 4 nights in Business Bay or Al Barsha | ₹30,000 – 48,000 |
| Private airport transfers both ways | ₹5,000 – 8,000 |
| City tour, Burj Khalifa, safari, dhow cruise, private Abu Dhabi day | ₹42,000 – 52,000 |
| Food beyond breakfast | ₹22,000 – 30,000 |
| Metro and taxis | ₹6,000 – 9,000 |
| Insurance, eSIM, Tourism Dirham if charged | ₹3,000 – 5,000 |
| Total, before shopping | ₹1,62,000 – 2,30,000 |
Drop to a 3-star in Bur Dubai and shared tours and the same trip falls to about ₹1,15,000 – 1,45,000 for two.
Family of four (two children aged 6–12), 5 nights / 6 days
| Item | For four |
|---|---|
| Return flights | ₹88,000 – 1,20,000 |
| Four visas | ₹28,000 – 36,000 |
| Family room or apartment, 5 nights, 4-star | ₹55,000 – 80,000 |
| Private transfers | ₹6,000 – 9,000 |
| Burj Khalifa, safari, cruise, one theme park, Global Village, Miracle Garden, Abu Dhabi day | ₹95,000 – 1,20,000 |
| Food beyond breakfast | ₹35,000 – 48,000 |
| Local travel | ₹9,000 – 14,000 |
| Insurance and small fees | ₹4,000 – 6,000 |
| Total, before shopping | ₹3,20,000 – 4,33,000 |
Travelling in the May vacation instead of December typically takes ₹40,000 – 70,000 off the hotel and park lines, though flights may cost more.
Solo traveller, 4 nights / 5 days, budget style
| Item | Cost |
|---|---|
| Return flight, booked early | ₹16,000 – 24,000 |
| Visa | ₹7,000 – 8,500 |
| Single room in a 2–3 star hotel in Deira or Bur Dubai, 4 nights | ₹16,000 – 26,000 |
| Metro from the airport and around the city | ₹2,500 – 4,000 |
| Burj Khalifa non-peak, shared safari, Dubai Frame, Global Village | ₹10,500 – 13,500 |
| Food | ₹6,500 – 9,000 |
| Insurance and eSIM | ₹1,000 – 2,000 |
| Total | ₹59,500 – 87,000 |
A solo traveller pays the whole room, which is why the per-person cost is higher than half a couple's budget.
When a Dubai trip costs the most and the least
| Period | Effect on total cost | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 20 December – 2 January | Highest, often 40–70% above normal | Christmas, New Year fireworks, Shopping Festival; Indian school holidays |
| Diwali fortnight (early November in 2026) | High, mostly through flights | Every Indian city flies out at once |
| Dubai Shopping Festival, 4 Dec 2026 – 17 Jan 2027 | High | Hotels full; but the sales can offset some cost for shoppers |
| Mid-January to March | Medium-high | Best weather; demand stays strong |
| Ramadan (expected roughly February–March 2027) | Medium, hotels softer | Fewer events, quieter evenings; everything stays open for tourists |
| April and October | Medium | Shoulder months; warm but usable |
| May | Hotels low, flights high | Indian summer holidays, Dubai heat |
| June – September | Lowest, often 30–45% below winter | Extreme heat; outdoor seasonal attractions closed |
Twelve ways to spend less on a Dubai trip
- Book flights six to eight weeks out for normal dates and three to four months out for Diwali or Christmas.
- Fly midweek. Tuesday to Thursday departures are usually the cheapest; Friday evening is the dearest.
- Compare Sharjah and Abu Dhabi arrivals on peak dates, including the transfer.
- Stay near a metro station and use the Red Line for the airport, Downtown and the Marina.
- Take non-peak Burj Khalifa slots; the view at 8 pm is as good as at sunset and costs less.
- Skip the second theme park. One park day is enough for most families; spend the other day at the beach or Global Village.
- Eat in Karama and Bur Dubai. A thali there costs a fraction of a hotel buffet.
- Choose a family room or apartment instead of two hotel rooms for a family of four.
- Use a zero-markup forex card and avoid converting cash at the airport.
- Do the free sights: Fountain, Al Fahidi, the souks, JBR and the Marina walk.
- Pre-book bags if you plan to shop; airport excess-baggage rates are steep.
- Avoid the last ten days of December if your dates are flexible; the first two weeks of December give similar weather at lower prices.
Booking it yourself or as a package
Booking each piece separately can be cheaper for a solo traveller or a couple who is comfortable with the metro and online tickets. For families, seniors and first-time travellers, a package usually costs about the same or less, because transfers, tours and attraction tickets are bought at contracted rates, and one person is accountable when a flight is delayed or a camp pick-up is late.
- What our Dubai quotes show: hotel name and area, flight times, visa, every ticket and time slot, transfers private or shared, GST and TCS, and the Tourism Dirham position, each as its own line.
- How it works: our team in Ahmedabad plans the trip with you on WhatsApp or phone, Monday to Saturday, wherever in India you live. Itinerary, invoice, vouchers and e-visa arrive as PDFs; on the trip you have 24×7 WhatsApp support.
- Private, not group: every trip runs on your own dates with your own transfers; vegetarian and Jain meals are requested in advance and confirmed in writing.
- Credentials: 11 years in business since 2015; IATA-accredited; member of TAAI, TAFI, ADTOI and IATO; recognised by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
If your budget is fixed, our guides to international trips under ₹1 lakh and international trips under ₹50,000 compare Dubai with other short-haul destinations at the same price.

How much does a 5-day Dubai trip cost from India per person?
For 4 nights and 5 days, a budget traveller sharing a room spends about ₹50,000 – 73,000 including flights, visa, hotel, main attractions and food. A comfortable 4-star trip costs about ₹75,000 – 1,17,000 per person, and a 5-star trip with prime-time tickets can exceed ₹1.5 lakh. Shopping is extra. Figures are as of November 2026.
Is ₹50,000 enough for a Dubai trip?
It is just possible for one person sharing a room, outside peak weeks, with an early flight from Mumbai, Ahmedabad or Hyderabad, a 2–3 star hotel in Deira, the metro and only two or three paid attractions. For a solo traveller paying the full room, or for any trip in December, budget closer to ₹65,000 – 80,000.
How much is a Dubai trip for a couple from India?
A couple on a 4-night trip spends about ₹1,15,000 – 1,45,000 in a 3-star hotel with shared tours, and about ₹1,62,000 – 2,30,000 in a 4-star with private transfers and an Abu Dhabi day. Both figures include return flights and two visas but not shopping, as of November 2026.
What is the Dubai visa fee for Indians in 2026?
The government fee for a 30-day single-entry UAE tourist visa is AED 252 plus 5% VAT, about ₹6,900. Through an agent, with the sponsor charge and insurance, most Indians pay ₹7,000 – 9,000. Children pay the same. Indians with a valid US, UK or EU visa or residence permit may get a visa on arrival instead.
How much spending money should I carry for Dubai?
Apart from prepaid tours, budget AED 150 – 300 per person per day for food, local travel and small entries, which is about ₹4,000 – 8,000. Load most of it on a forex card and carry AED 300 – 500 in cash per family for taxis, abras and souks. Shopping needs a separate amount.
Which is the cheapest month to visit Dubai from India?
June to September is the cheapest, with hotels often 30–45% below winter rates and plenty of indoor attractions open. The heat is extreme, so it suits mall and theme-park trips. For good weather at a fair price, early December before the 20th, late January and April are the better-value months.
What is the Tourism Dirham and do I have to pay it?
It is a per-room, per-night fee that Dubai hotels have collected from guests, historically about AED 7 to 20 depending on the hotel class. In 2026 Dubai allowed registered hotels to stop collecting it under a relief package, so some properties currently do not charge it. Ask your hotel or agent to confirm before you travel.
Is TCS charged on a Dubai tour package?
Yes. Since 1 April 2026, tour operators collect a flat 2% TCS on overseas tour packages. It is not an extra cost in the end, because it appears in your tax records and is adjusted against your income tax or refunded when you file the return. Air tickets bought alone do not attract it.
How much does Burj Khalifa cost for Indians?
The standard At the Top ticket for levels 124 and 125 costs about AED 160 – 190 at non-peak times, roughly ₹4,200 – 5,000 per adult as of November 2026. Afternoon and sunset slots cost more, and the level 148 experience is about ₹10,000 – 14,000. Most Dubai packages include a non-peak 124–125 ticket.
Is a Dubai package cheaper than booking everything myself?
For solo travellers and couples who use the metro and book tickets online, doing it yourself can save a few thousand rupees. For families and seniors, a package is usually similar in price or cheaper, because transfers, tours and tickets come at contracted rates and the visa and hotel dates are matched. Compare like with like, including GST.
How much does a desert safari cost in Dubai?
A shared evening safari with dune drive, camel ride, shows and barbecue dinner costs about AED 150 – 250 per adult, roughly ₹4,000 – 6,500, as of November 2026. Premium camps cost AED 400 – 500, and a private car for your family about AED 900 – 1,200. Seniors can ask for a camp transfer without dune bashing.
Are attractions in Dubai cheaper for children?
Usually. Most attractions charge children 20–40% less than adults and let under-threes in free, and Global Village and the Dubai Fountain cost little or nothing. But flights and visas cost almost the same for a child as for an adult, so a family of four pays close to four full shares on the biggest lines.
