Manali is the snow trip most Ahmedabad families pick between December and February, and the cool escape from Gujarat's heat in May and June. It sits at about 2,050 m in the Kullu valley, with Solang Valley 14 km up the road and the Atal Tunnel opening the way to Sissu in Lahaul. Five nights is enough for Manali on its own; add two nights in Shimla if you want the classic Shimla–Manali circuit.

Every Vibrant Holidays Manali package is private and built around your dates: your own cab and driver from Chandigarh or Delhi, hotels in the category you choose, and pure-veg or Jain meals arranged in advance. This page gives a price guide by trip length, the four ways to get from Ahmedabad to Manali, three day-wise itineraries, the Rohtang and Atal Tunnel facts, a month-by-month guide and the food details that matter to Gujarati travellers. The packages below show live prices.

Rohtang Pass, Atal Tunnel and snow: what to expect

  • Rohtang Pass is usually closed from about November to May because of snow. In its open season, tourist vehicles need a permit booked online in advance with a daily limit, and the pass is closed one day a week. We apply for the permit with your booking and arrange a local vehicle.
  • Atal Tunnel (about 9 km) connects Manali to Sissu in Lahaul through the year, but the road to the tunnel can close for a day or two after heavy snowfall. On those days we take you to Solang instead and keep a spare day in the plan.
  • Snow: Solang and Sissu usually have snow from mid-December to February, often into March. Manali town gets a few snowfalls in a good winter, but they cannot be promised.
  • Snow clothes (jackets, boots, gloves) can be rented at Solang and near the Atal Tunnel; carry your own thermals and woollens.

Veg and Jain food in Manali

Manali's Mall Road has several pure-veg restaurants that serve Gujarati and Jain thalis, and Shimla's Mall Road has a few more. Our hotels prepare Jain breakfast and dinner on request, and we confirm it in writing on your vouchers. On Solang and Sissu days we suggest packed snacks, since the stalls up there offer little choice beyond maggi and parathas.

Manali tour from Ahmedabad: FAQs

How much does a Manali tour package from Ahmedabad cost?

Our Manali packages currently start at ₹12,000 per person for 3 nights. Most of our Manali packages fall between ₹21,999 and ₹42,999 per person. The final cost depends on the travel month, hotel category, number of travellers and whether flights from Ahmedabad are added. Open any package below to see exactly what is included, or ask us for a quote with flights.

How many days are enough for Manali from Ahmedabad?

Five nights covers Manali, Solang Valley and the Atal Tunnel to Sissu at a comfortable pace, including the travel days from Chandigarh. Add two nights for Shimla if you want the Shimla–Manali circuit, or a night in Chandigarh to break the return drive.

What is the best way to reach Manali from Ahmedabad?

Most of our clients fly Ahmedabad–Chandigarh (about two hours on direct IndiGo flights) and drive about 300 km to Manali in a private car. Flying to Delhi and taking an overnight Volvo is cheaper but tiring. Flights to Kullu (Bhuntar) are few and depend on weather.

When will we see snow in Manali?

Solang Valley and Sissu usually have snow from mid-December to February, often into March. Manali town gets a few snowfalls in a good winter, but these cannot be promised. For snow play, plan your trip between late December and mid-February.

Can we visit Rohtang Pass?

Only when the pass is open, usually from around May or June until November. A permit booked online in advance is needed for each vehicle, with a daily limit, and the pass is closed one day a week. We apply for the permit with your booking.

Is Manali good for a honeymoon?

Yes. Riverside cottages, Old Manali cafés, Solang and the Atal Tunnel make it one of the most popular honeymoon trips from Ahmedabad. We add flower decoration, a cake and a candle-light dinner on request.

Is a winter trip safe with children and seniors?

Yes, with warm clothing and a flexible plan. We avoid long drives right after heavy snowfall, keep a spare day for the Atal Tunnel, and choose hotels with heating. Tell us about any health concerns so we can keep the drives short.

Do you arrange Jain and Gujarati food in Manali?

Yes. Several restaurants on Manali Mall Road serve Gujarati and Jain thalis, and our hotels prepare Jain meals on request. We confirm the meal plan in writing on your vouchers.

Is the Rohtang permit or Solang ropeway included?

They are usually extra and paid locally, because they depend on the season and on what you choose to do. Your quote lists them with estimated costs, and we can include them in the package if you prefer.
