Temples, islands, Alcazar and a 4½-hour direct flight – 81 Thailand packages, each priced live and planned for departure from Ahmedabad.

Thailand is the first international holiday for most Gujarati families, and for good reason: the flight from Ahmedabad to Bangkok is non-stop and about four and a half hours, Indian passport holders currently enter without a visa, pure-vegetarian food is easy to find in every tourist city, and a 5-night trip costs less than many domestic hill-station holidays. At Vibrant Holidays we have been sending couples, families and office groups to Thailand for 12 years, and the questions have not changed much – Bangkok–Pattaya or Phuket–Krabi, what the optional tours really cost, and where to find a Jain thali in Pattaya.

The packages below are on sale today with live prices. After them you will find our price guide for 2026, flight logic from Ahmedabad, three day-wise itineraries, a route comparison table, an optional-tours price box, a month-by-month planner and twelve honest answers to the questions we hear most at our C G Road office.

Thailand tour package price guide (2026)

Thailand packages on this page start at ₹10,999 per person. Price moves with three variables: which route you choose (Pattaya is cheaper than Phuket), the hotel category, and how many optional tours are included rather than left to pay on the ground. The bands below are what our clients actually pay per person on twin sharing, excluding international flights.

TripStandard (3★)Deluxe (4★)Premium (5★ / pool villa)
4N/5D Bangkok (2N) + Pattaya (2N)₹18,000 – 24,000₹26,000 – 34,000₹45,000+
5N/6D Phuket (3N) + Krabi (2N)₹26,000 – 33,000₹36,000 – 48,000₹65,000+
6N/7D Bangkok – Pattaya – Phuket₹32,000 – 40,000₹44,000 – 58,000₹80,000+
8N/9D complete Thailand with Krabi or Koh Samui₹42,000 – 52,000₹58,000 – 75,000₹1,05,000+

Add for flights: Ahmedabad–Bangkok return fares usually fall between ₹16,000 and ₹26,000 per person when booked 6–8 weeks ahead; Diwali week and the last ten days of December run higher. Phuket is reached with a one-stop connection or a short domestic hop from Bangkok (about 1 h 20 min). Usually extra on the ground: Alcazar or Tiffany show, Coral Island speedboat, Phi Phi island day trip, Safari World with Marine Park, Nong Nooch garden, Thai massage and any seafood or bar bills. The box further down lists what each of these typically costs so you can compare a "cheap" package that excludes them with ours that includes them.

How to reach Thailand from Ahmedabad

  • Non-stop Ahmedabad–Bangkok: SVPI Airport has direct flights to Bangkok taking about 4 h 30 min. Most depart late evening or at night and land in the early morning Thai time (Thailand is 1 h 30 min ahead of India), so you start sightseeing on Day 1 after a hotel check-in and rest. We book the flight with your package so the Bangkok transfer is waiting at arrivals.
  • Bangkok to Pattaya: a private car takes about 2 hours on an expressway. No flight is needed, which is why Bangkok–Pattaya is the cheapest and most senior-friendly Thailand route.
  • Reaching Phuket or Krabi: either a one-stop ticket from Ahmedabad via Bangkok or another hub, or a domestic Bangkok–Phuket flight (about 1 h 20 min) added to the direct AMD–BKK ticket. Krabi is a 2½-hour drive or a 2-hour ferry from Phuket; we usually drive you there and add the Phi Phi boat trip separately.
  • Via Mumbai or Delhi: on dates when the Ahmedabad fare is high, a Mumbai or Delhi departure with multiple airlines can save ₹3,000–5,000 per person; we show you both options and let you decide.
  • Getting around: packages include private air-conditioned transfers and sightseeing vehicles. In Bangkok the Skytrain (BTS) and the Chao Phraya river boats are safe, cheap and worth using for a half-day of independent exploring; Grab taxis work like Ola or Uber.

Thailand itineraries by traveller type

4 nights / 5 days – Bangkok and Pattaya for families

  • Day 1: Land in Bangkok early morning, drive to Pattaya (2 h), check in; evening Alcazar cabaret show, dinner at an Indian restaurant on Second Road.
  • Day 2: Coral Island by speedboat with a Thai-style lunch (vegetarian option confirmed); afternoon free for the beach; optional Nong Nooch tropical garden with the elephant show.
  • Day 3: Drive to Bangkok via the Sanctuary of Truth; evening Chao Phraya dinner cruise with a vegetarian buffet.
  • Day 4: Safari World and Marine Park full day – the single best day for children – or the Grand Palace and Wat Pho for grandparents, then shopping at Indra Square or Platinum Mall.
  • Day 5: Fly Bangkok–Ahmedabad.

5 nights / 6 days – Phuket and Krabi honeymoon

  • Day 1: Arrive Phuket, check in at a Patong or Kata resort with honeymoon décor; sunset at Promthep Cape.
  • Day 2: Phi Phi Islands by speedboat – Maya Bay viewpoint, Pileh Lagoon, Monkey Beach, snorkelling; lunch on Phi Phi Don.
  • Day 3: Half-day Phuket city tour (Big Buddha, Wat Chalong, Old Town), afternoon Thai massage; evening Phuket FantaSea or Bangla Road walk.
  • Day 4: Transfer to Krabi (2½ h), check in at Ao Nang; evening at the night market.
  • Day 5: Four Islands tour by long-tail boat (Railay, Phra Nang cave beach, Chicken Island, Tup Island) with a candle-light dinner back at the resort.
  • Day 6: Fly Krabi–Bangkok–Ahmedabad.

7 nights / 8 days – complete Thailand

Two nights Bangkok (Safari World, temples, shopping), two nights Pattaya (Coral Island, Alcazar, Nong Nooch) and three nights Phuket (Phi Phi, city tour, a free beach day), with a Bangkok–Phuket flight in the middle. This is the route most extended families and friend groups from Ahmedabad choose for Diwali and December, travelling together as a private group on their own dates with their own vehicle and Indian meals arranged every day. Add a ninth night in Krabi or swap Phuket for Koh Samui for a quieter island.

Senior citizens and mixed-age groups

For parents above 60 we recommend the Bangkok–Pattaya route: no internal flights, hotels with lifts on Pattaya's Beach Road, the Alcazar show (seated, 70 minutes), a glass-bottom boat rather than a speedboat to Coral Island, and the Grand Palace early in the morning before the heat. Walking at Safari World is about 3–4 km; we book a buggy where needed.

Bangkok–Pattaya vs Phuket–Krabi vs full Thailand – which route to choose

This is the first decision for every Thailand trip, and no two agencies explain it the same way. Here is how we put it to families at our office.

Optional tours – what they usually cost in 2026

Cheap packages leave these out and charge on the ground. We include the ones you want in your quote, but here are typical adult prices so you can compare honestly:

  • Alcazar / Tiffany show, Pattaya: about ₹1,200 – 2,000 depending on seat category (VIP seats are worth it for photos).
  • Coral Island by speedboat with lunch: about ₹1,500 – 2,500; parasailing and sea-walking on the island are paid separately (₹800 – 2,500 each).
  • Nong Nooch garden with shows: about ₹1,500 – 2,200.
  • Safari World + Marine Park, Bangkok (with lunch): about ₹3,000 – 3,800; it is a full day.
  • Phi Phi Islands by speedboat, Phuket (with lunch and national-park fee): about ₹3,500 – 5,000; the park fee is sometimes collected in cash on the pier.
  • James Bond Island / Phang Nga Bay: about ₹3,000 – 4,000.
  • Phuket FantaSea show with buffet: about ₹4,000 – 5,500.
  • Chao Phraya dinner cruise: about ₹1,800 – 3,000; vegetarian buffets are standard.

A family of four that buys all the Pattaya and Bangkok tours locally spends ₹28,000 – 35,000 extra, which is usually the entire difference between a "₹13,999" headline and a real package.

Visa-free entry for Indians

Indian passport holders currently enter Thailand without a visa for tourism under the visa-exemption rule, with a passport valid for at least six months, a confirmed return ticket and hotel bookings. Thailand has changed the permitted stay length more than once in recent years, so we confirm the current rule and the arrival-card requirement before every departure and send you the exact documents to carry. Immigration officers can ask to see return tickets and proof of funds; our vouchers cover this.

Best time to visit Thailand – month by month

MonthsWeatherGood forPrices
November – FebruaryDry, 24–32°C, cool mornings in Bangkok, calm seasEverything; Diwali and Christmas–New Year are peak for Gujarati familiesHighest; book 6–8 weeks ahead
March – MayHot, 33–38°C; Songkran water festival around 13–15 AprilMay school vacation (plan beach mornings and mall afternoons), Phuket and Krabi still swimmableModerate; good 4★ deals in April–May
June – SeptemberSouth-west monsoon; short heavy showers, rough seas on the Andaman side (Phuket, Krabi, Phi Phi)Bangkok and Pattaya remain fine; Koh Samui on the Gulf side is dryLowest of the year, 25–35% off resorts
OctoberRain easing; seas calm again by late OctoberNavratri-to-Diwali departures, early-season faresRising through the month

For the Gujarat May vacation we steer families to Bangkok–Pattaya with an afternoon pool break built in, or to Phuket where the sea breeze helps. For a June–September honeymoon on a budget we recommend Koh Samui instead of Phuket. Diwali week (usually October or November) is the busiest week of the year for Ahmedabad travellers; we start confirming Diwali hotels and flights in July.

Places to visit in Thailand

  • Bangkok: the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, Wat Arun across the river, Chatuchak weekend market, Platinum and MBK malls, ICONSIAM – two nights is the minimum.
  • Safari World and Marine Park: drive-through safari, dolphin and orangutan shows; the best single day in Thailand for children under 12.
  • Pattaya: Coral Island, Alcazar show, Sanctuary of Truth, Nong Nooch garden, Walking Street (adults) and the quieter Jomtien and Wongamat beaches for families.
  • Phuket: Patong for nightlife and Indian restaurants, Kata and Karon for calmer beaches, Big Buddha, Old Town, Promthep Cape sunset.
  • Phi Phi Islands: Maya Bay, Pileh Lagoon and Bamboo Island by speedboat from Phuket or Krabi – the most photographed day in the country.
  • Krabi: Railay beach, Four Islands tour, Emerald Pool and hot springs, Ao Nang night market – quieter and greener than Phuket.
  • Koh Samui: Chaweng beach, Ang Thong marine park, the Big Buddha temple; the right island for a June–September honeymoon.
  • Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai: Doi Suthep temple, the White Temple, ethical elephant sanctuaries and night bazaars – cooler, cultural northern Thailand for second visits.
  • Ayutthaya: UNESCO ruins 80 km north of Bangkok, a good half-day for history lovers.
  • Hua Hin: a royal beach town 2½ hours from Bangkok, popular with senior groups who want a calm sea without an internal flight.

Food, hotels and tips for Gujarati travellers

  • Pure-veg and Jain food by city: Bangkok has a cluster of Indian restaurants around Sukhumvit Soi 11–22 and Pahurat (Little India) serving Gujarati thali, Punjabi and South Indian food; several will prepare Jain meals without onion and garlic if told a day ahead. Pattaya's Second Road and Beach Road have more than a dozen Indian restaurants, including Gujarati thali places our clients return to year after year. Patong in Phuket has 8–10 Indian restaurants; Krabi's Ao Nang has two or three. Thai restaurants can cook vegetarian pad thai, green curry with tofu and fried rice on request – ask for "jay" (vegetarian) and no fish sauce. We list restaurants near your hotel in the voucher.
  • Hotel categories: 3★ in Thailand is clean and functional with a pool; 4★ on Pattaya Beach Road or Patong gives a sea view and a bigger breakfast; 5★ resorts in Kata, Karon or Krabi offer pool-access rooms and private villas for honeymooners. In Bangkok we prefer Pratunam or Sukhumvit for shopping access.
  • Money: carry Thai baht in cash for markets, boat trips and tips (₹1 is roughly 0.38–0.42 baht in recent years, so divide baht prices by about 2.5 for rupees). Cards work in malls and hotels; forex cards are convenient. Keep ₹1,000–2,000 equivalent in small notes for tuk-tuks and street shopping.
  • Dress and temples: shoulders and knees covered at the Grand Palace and Wat Pho; carry a scarf. Shoes off inside temple halls.
  • Pack: light cottons, a hat, sunscreen, swimwear, a waterproof pouch for boat days, and motion-sickness tablets for speedboats. A small umbrella in any month.
  • Timings and safety: the Grand Palace opens at 8.30 am – go first. Pattaya's Walking Street is adults-only in the evening; families stay around Beach Road and Jomtien. Tap water is not for drinking. Hotel-arranged taxis or Grab are safer than street touts offering "cheap" tours.
  • Connectivity: a Thai tourist SIM or an eSIM with unlimited data for 8 days costs about ₹600–900 and is far cheaper than Indian roaming.

Thailand tour packages – frequently asked questions

How much does a Thailand tour package cost from Ahmedabad?

Thailand packages on this page start at ₹10,999 per person. A typical 4-night Bangkok–Pattaya package with 3★ hotels, transfers, Coral Island and Alcazar costs ₹18,000–24,000 per person excluding flights; 4★ hotels take it to ₹26,000–34,000. Add ₹16,000–26,000 for return Ahmedabad–Bangkok flights depending on the season.

Is there a direct flight from Ahmedabad to Thailand?

Yes. Non-stop flights from Ahmedabad to Bangkok take about 4 h 30 min and usually fly overnight, landing early morning. Phuket and Krabi need either a one-stop ticket or a short Bangkok–Phuket domestic flight of about 1 h 20 min, which we add to your package.

Do Indians need a visa for Thailand?

Indian passport holders currently enter Thailand visa-free for tourism with a passport valid six months, return ticket and hotel confirmation. The permitted stay period has changed more than once recently, so we confirm the rule in force and any digital arrival-card requirement before your departure and give you a document checklist.

Bangkok–Pattaya or Phuket–Krabi – which is better?

Bangkok–Pattaya for first-timers, families with children, seniors and tight budgets: no internal flight, the most Indian restaurants, Safari World and the best shopping. Phuket–Krabi for honeymooners and beach lovers: far better beaches, Phi Phi and Railay, but it costs ₹10,000–15,000 more per person and needs an extra flight.

How many days are enough for Thailand?

Four nights covers Bangkok and Pattaya comfortably. Five nights is right for Phuket plus Krabi. Seven to eight nights lets you do Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket together, which is what most extended families from Ahmedabad choose for Diwali. Three nights is too short once you account for the overnight flight.

Is pure-vegetarian and Jain food available in Thailand?

Yes, in every city on the tourist circuit. Bangkok, Pattaya and Patong each have ten or more Indian restaurants, several of them Gujarati thali places that will prepare Jain food if informed a day ahead. We confirm vegetarian meals on the dinner cruise and island tours in writing and share a restaurant list for each hotel.

What is usually not included in a Thailand package?

International flights unless you ask us to add them, optional tours not named in the itinerary (Safari World, Phi Phi, Nong Nooch, FantaSea), national-park fees collected in cash at some piers, water sports on Coral Island, massage, tips, personal expenses, travel insurance and 5% GST. Our quotes list inclusions and exclusions side by side.

Is Pattaya suitable for families with children and parents?

Yes, if planned correctly. Families stay on Beach Road, Jomtien or Wongamat, spend evenings at the Alcazar show, Nong Nooch garden and Terminal 21 mall, and skip Walking Street after dark. Coral Island, the Sanctuary of Truth and Cartoon Network Amazone water park keep children busy. We plan Pattaya for hundreds of Gujarati families every year.

Which is the best month to visit Thailand?

November to February has the best weather everywhere and is peak season. March to May is hot but fine for the Gujarat May vacation, especially Bangkok–Pattaya with pool afternoons. June to September is monsoon on the Phuket–Krabi coast, so choose Bangkok–Pattaya or Koh Samui then and save 25–35% on hotels.

How much spending money should I carry for Thailand?

For a 5-night trip with meals and tours included, ₹8,000–12,000 per person in Thai baht covers shopping, tips, snacks and a massage. Carry small notes for markets and boat vendors; cards work in malls and hotels. A forex card plus some cash is the most convenient mix for Gujarati families.

Can Thailand be combined with Singapore, Malaysia or Bali?

Yes. Bangkok–Pattaya plus Singapore (7–8 nights) and Phuket plus Bali or Kuala Lumpur (7–9 nights) are popular combinations from Ahmedabad because regional flights are short and inexpensive. We quote the combination with all flights, visas and transfers in one price so you can compare it with Thailand alone.

Is Thailand safe for senior citizens and women travellers?

Thailand is among the safest destinations we sell. Tourist areas are well policed, hotels are used to Indian guests, and private transfers mean no late-night taxi searches. For seniors we keep to Bangkok–Pattaya, use glass-bottom boats instead of speedboats, and plan temple visits early morning before the heat.
