Getting there from Ahmedabad
Phuket has no non-stop service from Ahmedabad, so we fly you via Bangkok, Mumbai or Delhi; total travel time is usually 8 to 10 hours including the connection. Non-stop Ahmedabad–Bangkok flights have operated in recent seasons, which makes the return from Bangkok simple. Where the schedule allows, we book you into Phuket and out of Bangkok so there is no backtracking. Fares rise sharply for Diwali and the December holidays, so book six to eight weeks ahead.
Good to know before you book
- Best months: November to March for calm seas on the Andaman coast. Phi Phi and 4 Islands boats may be cancelled in rough weather between May and October.
- Food: Patong, Pattaya and Bangkok's Sukhumvit area all have Indian pure-veg restaurants; Krabi has fewer, so we pre-arrange Jain and Gujarati meals there.
- Who it suits: families with teenagers, friends' groups and couples who want beaches and city life in one trip.
