Thailand Tour Packages from Bangalore
Three Thai airports are a single flight from Kempegowda – land in Krabi, leave from Phuket, and fit a real island holiday into a Bengaluru long weekend plus two days of leave.
Few Indian cities are as well placed for Thailand as Bangalore. Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) has non-stop flights not only to Bangkok but also straight to the two beach airports that matter most: IndiGo flies to Krabi, and Air India Express has flown to Phuket since June 2026. That changes how a Thailand trip from Bengaluru should be built. You do not need to route the island part of your holiday through Bangkok at all, and with an open-jaw ticket – into Krabi, out of Phuket – you avoid both a domestic Thai flight and the long drive back to where you started.
This page is for travellers from Bangalore and nearby Mysuru and Hosur: per-person costs beyond the airfare, the three KIA routes, entry rules as of November 2026, three itineraries sized for Bengaluru leave, a comparison with the Andamans, Karnataka school holidays and food notes for South Indian vegetarians. Vibrant Holidays plans every trip from its office in Ahmedabad; you book with us on WhatsApp or phone. We have no Bengaluru office. Every trip is private, on your own dates, with your own transfers.

Thailand package cost from Bangalore: per-person bands (2026)
Today 24 Thailand packages are live on our site, the lowest at ₹13,000 per person. The bands below are indicative, per person with two adults sharing a room, and leave out the flights from Bengaluru. They include hotels with breakfast, private transfers between airport, hotels and piers, and the main excursion at each stop – the 4-Island long-tail tour in Krabi, a Phi Phi speedboat day from Phuket, Coral Island from Pattaya, and a temple and city tour in Bangkok.
| Trip | Standard (3-star) | Deluxe (4-star, pool access) | Premium (5-star or pool villa) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 nights – Krabi (2) and Phuket (2), open-jaw | ₹19,000 – 25,000 | ₹27,000 – 36,000 | ₹48,000 – 72,000 |
| 4 nights – Bangkok (2) and Pattaya (2) | ₹16,500 – 22,000 | ₹24,000 – 31,500 | ₹41,000 – 60,000 |
| 5 nights – Krabi (2), Phi Phi island stay (1), Phuket (2) | ₹25,000 – 32,000 | ₹35,000 – 46,000 | ₹60,000 – 92,000 |
| 6 nights – Phuket (3) and Bangkok (3) | ₹26,500 – 34,000 | ₹36,000 – 48,000 | ₹62,000 – 94,000 |
| 7 nights – Krabi, Phuket, Bangkok and Pattaya | ₹33,000 – 42,000 | ₹46,000 – 60,000 | ₹80,000 – 1,25,000 |
Airfare from Bengaluru (return, per person, economy, booked six to eight weeks out): KIA–Bangkok is usually about ₹16,000–28,000; KIA–Phuket or KIA–Krabi about ₹18,000–31,000. An open-jaw ticket (into Krabi, home from Phuket, or the reverse) costs roughly the same as a normal return when both legs are on sale. Expect ₹30,000–45,000 over Christmas–New Year, the Dasara–Deepavali stretch and long weekends when half of Whitefield seems to fly out on the same Friday.
Not in the bands unless you add them: marine park fees on island days (about THB 200–400 per adult, cash), shows, Safari World, scuba dives and meals beyond breakfast. Your quote prices each one, so you decide at home, not at a beach tour desk.
Non-stop flights from KIA: Bangkok, Phuket and Krabi
Thailand flights leave from KIA's international terminal. The pattern below is as of November 2026; airlines change days and times every season, so we confirm the exact flight when we quote.
| Route | Airlines | Flying time | What the timing means |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bengaluru – Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (BKK) | IndiGo, Air India, Thai Airways | About 3½–4 hours | Several departures, many late at night; a red-eye lands around dawn, so we pre-book the room |
| Bengaluru – Bangkok Don Mueang (DMK) | Thai AirAsia | About 3½–4 hours | Usually the cheapest seat, cabin bag only unless you add baggage |
| Bengaluru – Phuket (HKT) | Air India Express, about four days a week (launched June 2026) | About 3¾ hours | Late-morning departure, mid-afternoon arrival; the return leaves Phuket late afternoon and lands in Bengaluru by early evening |
| Bengaluru – Krabi (KBV) | IndiGo (since March 2025) | About 3¾ hours | Afternoon departure, lands in Krabi in the evening; the return leaves Krabi before noon and reaches Bengaluru around lunchtime |
- Use the open jaw. Fly into Krabi on the evening IndiGo flight, spend two nights at Ao Nang, take the ferry or a 2½–3 hour road transfer to Phuket, and fly home on Air India Express. No domestic Thai flight, no backtracking. If the Phuket flight does not run on the day you need, we reverse it – into Phuket, out of Krabi.
- Thailand is 1½ hours ahead of India. The Krabi return reaching Bengaluru around lunchtime means a Sunday return still leaves the afternoon for laundry and Monday prep.
- Getting to KIA: the drive from Sarjapur, HSR or Electronic City can take two hours on a weekday evening, and the immigration queue is long on holiday Fridays – arrive three hours before departure.
- Baggage: IndiGo, Air India Express and Thai AirAsia sell many fares with cabin baggage only. If you plan to shop at Pratunam or carry diving gear, add checked baggage when we book, not at the counter.
Entry rules for Indians (as of November 2026)
Indian ordinary-passport holders can holiday in Thailand without a visa for up to 30 days per entry. This 30-day limit started on 15 September 2026; before that, the visa-free stay had been 60 days. No package on this page comes close to 30 days. If you plan to stay longer, work remotely for weeks from Thailand or travel on business, read our Thailand visa guide for Indians; we prepare and submit e-visa applications, and approval is at the Thai authorities' discretion.
- Passport valid for at least six months from the day you land.
- Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC): free, on the official Thai immigration website, filled within 72 hours before arrival. Every traveller, including children, needs one. Ignore sites that charge a fee for it.
- Papers to show if asked: a confirmed return or onward ticket, hotel bookings for every night, and a rough itinerary. Keep them as PDFs and one printed set.
- Funds: official guidance asks for at least THB 20,000 per traveller (cash or card with a recent statement). Checks are occasional, but they happen.
- Vapes and e-cigarettes are illegal in Thailand; do not carry them, even unopened.
These rules are correct as of November 2026; rules change – we check before you book, and again a week before you fly.
Three Thailand itineraries built around Bengaluru flights and leave
4 nights – the long-weekend island run (Thursday to Monday)
Built for a Bengaluru long weekend plus one or two days of leave. Uses the IndiGo Krabi flight out and the Phuket flight back.
- Day 1 (Thursday): work a half day, leave for KIA after lunch, afternoon IndiGo flight to Krabi; evening arrival and a late Thai dinner on Ao Nang beach road.
- Day 2: 4-Island tour by long-tail – Phra Nang Cave Beach, the Tup sandbar, Chicken Island and Poda; sunset at Railay West.
- Day 3: morning ferry to Phuket via the Phi Phi islands; evening in Old Phuket Town.
- Day 4: Phang Nga Bay by big boat with sea-canoeing in the caves, or a free beach day at Kata.
- Day 5 (Monday): Air India Express Phuket–Bengaluru; home by evening, back online on Tuesday.
5 nights – Bangkok and Pattaya for a family, Dasara or summer break
- Day 1: late-night flight from KIA lands in Bangkok around dawn; the room is pre-booked, so children sleep until noon; afternoon at SEA LIFE Bangkok and Siam Paragon.
- Day 2: Safari World and Marine Park; evening Chao Phraya dinner cruise with a vegetarian counter.
- Day 3: Wat Pho and Wat Arun before the heat, then drive to Pattaya (about 2 hours); Alcazar show.
- Day 4: Coral Island by speedboat with a beach lunch; Pattaya floating market in the evening.
- Day 5: Nong Nooch Garden or the Sanctuary of Truth; back to Bangkok for a night near the river.
- Day 6: morning shopping at Platinum Fashion Mall; afternoon flight home.
6 nights – Krabi, a night on Phi Phi, and Phuket (honeymoon or divers)
- Days 1–2 – Krabi: evening arrival; next day Hong Island by long-tail and the lagoon kayak.
- Day 3 – Phi Phi Don: ferry across and stay one night on the island; the day-trippers leave by 3 pm, and the viewpoint at sunset is almost empty.
- Day 4 – Phuket: ferry to Rassada pier; pool-access room at Kata or Kamala.
- Day 5: two boat dives at Racha Yai, or a Discover Scuba session for beginners.
- Day 6: Big Buddha and sunset at Promthep Cape.
- Day 7: fly Phuket–Bengaluru.
Bengaluru divers who have done Netrani island off Murudeshwar will find the Andaman Sea clearer between December and April. Phuket dive centres ask for a short medical form; we send it with your vouchers.
Long weekends and Karnataka school holidays
Most Bengaluru travellers fit Thailand around two calendars: the company holiday list and the school year.
- IT long weekends: Kannada Rajyotsava (1 November), Christmas, Republic Day, Ugadi, Good Friday, May Day and Independence Day often create three- or four-day weekends. Fares on all three KIA routes jump on the Thursday and Friday before; flying out on the Wednesday night or the morning of the holiday itself is usually cheaper.
- Karnataka state-board summer holidays: roughly the second week of April to late May. April is dry but very hot (Bangkok touches 35°C and above), and the Songkran water festival around 13–15 April falls right at the start. From mid-May the monsoon reaches Phuket and Krabi, so a late-May family trip works better as Bangkok and Pattaya.
- Dasara holidays: about two weeks from late September into October. The Andaman coast is still wet; Bangkok, Pattaya or Koh Samui are safer, and rates are near their lowest.
- Christmas: CBSE and ICSE schools in Bengaluru break for about a week. The islands are in peak season; book Krabi and Phuket hotels by September.
- Working while away: many Bengaluru techies add two "work from Thailand" days to a holiday. We pick hotels with reliable Wi-Fi and a desk, and avoid island stays (Phi Phi, Railay) on working days, where the connection is weaker.
Thailand or the Andamans from Bengaluru?
Bengaluru couples ask us this more than any other comparison: both are a short non-stop from KIA and both sell clear water and island-hopping.
| Thailand (Krabi–Phuket) | Andamans (Havelock–Neil) | |
|---|---|---|
| Passport and entry | Passport needed; visa-free 30 days plus TDAC | No passport; domestic trip |
| Flight from KIA | Non-stop to Krabi or Phuket, about 3¾ h | Non-stop to Port Blair, about 2½–2¾ h |
| Getting between islands | Frequent ferries and speedboats; easy to change plans | Fewer ferries; seats must be booked ahead |
| Evenings | Restaurants, night markets, shows and bars | Quiet; most places close early |
| Vegetarian food | Indian restaurants in Ao Nang and Patong | Simple; hotels cook veg on request |
| Land cost, 5 nights, Deluxe | Similar range | Similar range; ferries add more |
| Best for | Variety, nightlife, first trip abroad | Unspoilt beaches, families with elders who have no passport |
If you are still deciding, see our Andaman packages from Bangalore alongside the Thailand plans; we quote both for the same dates so the comparison is real.
Month by month: Thailand for Bengaluru travellers
| Month | Andaman coast (Krabi, Phuket) and Bangkok | Bengaluru calendar | Prices |
|---|---|---|---|
| January | Dry, calm sea, around 32°C | Sankranti long weekend | High |
| February | Driest month; best visibility for diving | Quiet at work, good time to take leave | High |
| March | Hot and dry | Board exams – families wait | Medium-high |
| April | Hottest; Songkran around 13–15 April | State-board holidays begin; Ugadi, Good Friday | Medium; Songkran higher |
| May | Monsoon starts on the islands by mid-month | Summer break continues; May Day weekend | Low-medium |
| June | Rain on Phuket and Krabi; Koh Samui drier | Schools reopen | Low |
| July | Showers; some boat trips cancelled | No major breaks | Low |
| August | Similar to July | Independence Day weekend | Low |
| September | Wettest month | Dasara break starts in late September for many schools | Lowest |
| October | Rain easing on the islands by month-end | Dasara break; Deepavali in some years | Low-medium |
| November | Dry season begins; Loy Krathong lanterns, usually in November | Rajyotsava weekend; Deepavali in some years | Medium-high |
| December | Peak season, calm seas | Christmas week and year-end leave | Highest from about 20 December |
If your dates are flexible, mid-January to mid-March is the best stretch from Bengaluru: KIA fares are lower than in December and the sea around Phi Phi is at its clearest.
Food and practical tips for South Indian travellers
Eating vegetarian in Thailand
- Breakfast: many 4- and 5-star hotels in Phuket, Bangkok and Pattaya have an Indian breakfast counter – often upma or poha, sometimes idli. We pick such hotels if it matters to your parents.
- Krabi (Ao Nang): a handful of Indian restaurants on the beach road serve dosa and thali; no-onion-garlic food needs a day's notice. Phi Phi and Railay have fewer options, so we plan a packed meal for those days.
- Phuket: Patong and Kata have the widest choice; Old Phuket Town has Thai vegan cafes.
- Bangkok: Sukhumvit and Pahurat cover everything from a Udupi-style meal to North Indian thalis. Thai vegetarian stalls fly a yellow flag marked "jay" – no fish sauce, egg, garlic or onion.
- Spice: Thai green curry is sweet with palm sugar; ask for "mai wan" (not sweet) if you prefer it sharper.
- From home: ready-to-eat bisi bele bath, puliyogare mix, chutney pudi and a small tub of pickle travel well and are allowed in checked baggage.
Practical tips
- Money: one baht is about ₹2.6–2.7. Carry part of the THB 20,000 funds requirement as cash and the rest on a forex card; city money changers beat airport rates.
- Getting around: Grab works in Bangkok, Phuket and Krabi; a Thai eSIM is cheaper than most Indian roaming packs.
- Boats and sun: big-boat tours for parents and small children; reef-safe sunscreen and water shoes for the islands – the Thai sun is far harsher than Bengaluru's.

How much does a Thailand tour package from Bangalore cost?
Our Thailand packages currently start at ₹13,000 per person for 2 nights. Most of our Thailand packages fall between ₹29,800 and ₹62,500 per person. The final cost depends on the travel month, hotel category, number of travellers and whether flights from Bangalore are added. Open any package below to see exactly what is included, or ask us for a quote with flights.
Is there a direct flight from Bangalore to Thailand?
Yes, to three airports. As of November 2026, IndiGo, Air India and Thai Airways fly non-stop from Kempegowda to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, Thai AirAsia flies to Don Mueang, Air India Express flies to Phuket about four days a week, and IndiGo flies to Krabi. Flying time is about 3½ to 4 hours. Schedules change by season, so we confirm the flight when we quote.
Can I fly into Krabi and fly home from Phuket?
Yes, and from Bengaluru it is usually the best plan for a beach trip. Krabi and Phuket are about 2½ to 3 hours apart by road, or a ferry ride via Phi Phi. Flying into one and out of the other saves a domestic Thai flight and a day of backtracking. We match the route to the days each airline operates.
Do Indians need a visa for Thailand in November 2026?
No visa is needed for a holiday of up to 30 days. That limit applies from 15 September 2026, replacing the earlier 60 days. You need a passport valid for six months, the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card filled within 72 hours before landing, return tickets, hotel bookings and proof of funds. Rules change, so we check again before you fly.
Can I do Thailand on a Bengaluru long weekend?
Yes, with one or two days of leave. A four-night Krabi and Phuket plan works well: the afternoon IndiGo flight to Krabi on Thursday, two island days, a ferry to Phuket, and the Phuket–Bengaluru flight on Monday. For a three-night trip, Bangkok alone or Krabi alone is more relaxed than trying to cover both.
What is the typical Bangalore to Bangkok return airfare?
Usually about ₹16,000 to ₹28,000 per person return in economy when booked six to eight weeks ahead. Thai AirAsia into Don Mueang is often the cheapest, with cabin baggage only. Christmas, New Year and popular long weekends can take fares to ₹30,000–45,000. We book flights with the package and add baggage so there are no airport charges.
Is Thailand good during the Karnataka Dasara holidays?
Yes, if you pick the right side of the country. In late September and October the Andaman coast around Phuket and Krabi is still wet and boat trips can be cancelled. Bangkok with Pattaya, or Koh Samui on the Gulf coast, works better, and hotel rates are close to their lowest of the year.
Will South Indian vegetarian food be available in Thailand?
Yes, in Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket and Ao Nang there are Indian restaurants serving dosa, idli, meals and thalis, and many hotels now have an Indian breakfast counter. Island days on Phi Phi and Railay have fewer choices, so we arrange packed vegetarian meals. Jain or no-onion-garlic food is possible with a day of notice.
Thailand or Andaman – which is better from Bangalore?
Both are about four hours from KIA. Thailand gives more variety, easier ferries, nightlife and better vegetarian restaurants, and needs a passport. The Andamans are quieter, need no passport and suit elders, but ferry seats must be booked early. For a first trip abroad or a honeymoon with evenings out, Thailand usually wins; for unspoilt beaches, the Andamans.
How early should I reach Kempegowda airport for a Thailand flight?
Three hours before departure. Immigration at KIA is slow on holiday Fridays and in Deepavali and Christmas weeks, and the drive from Electronic City, Sarjapur or HSR Layout can take two hours in weekday evening traffic. Late-night departures have a clearer road but the same queues inside the terminal.
Do you have an office in Bangalore?
