Andaman Tour Packages from Bangalore
A morning flight from Kempegowda airport, lunch in Port Blair and the next sunset on Radhanagar beach – Andaman trips from Bengaluru with every ferry seat booked before you fly.
From Bangalore, the Andaman Islands are one of the easiest beach holidays in India to reach. Non-stop flights from Kempegowda International Airport land at Port Blair – now officially Sri Vijaya Puram – in under three hours, so a couple who leaves Hebbal at dawn can be at the Cellular Jail light-and-sound show the same evening. No passport, no visa, and the water at Havelock is as clear as anything in Thailand or Bali.
What makes or breaks an Andaman trip is the part between the airport and the beach: inter-island ferries that sell out, resorts that are far from the beaches you came for, and flight times that do not match ferry schedules. This page is written for travellers from Bangalore and covers realistic package costs, the KIA–Port Blair flights and how to plan around them, the ferry system explained, three day-wise itineraries, a honeymoon guide, Karnataka school-holiday timing, a month-by-month table and food notes for South Indian vegetarians. The packages below show live prices, and every trip is private and customised to your dates.

Andaman package price guide from Bangalore (2026)
Our Andaman packages start at ₹12,000 per person today, and 24 are on sale. The bands below are per person on twin sharing, excluding flights from Bangalore. They include hotels with breakfast, all ferry tickets between Port Blair, Havelock and Neil, a private cab for transfers and sightseeing on each island, and entry permits where needed.
| Trip length | Standard (3★ / beach cottages) | Deluxe (4★ / beach resort) | Premium (5★ / luxury villas) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 nights (Port Blair 1, Havelock 2, Port Blair 1) | ₹17,000 – 22,000 | ₹26,000 – 34,000 | ₹55,000 – 85,000 |
| 5 nights (adds Neil Island) | ₹21,000 – 27,000 | ₹31,000 – 41,000 | ₹65,000 – 1,00,000 |
| 6 nights (Havelock 3 nights, slower pace) | ₹25,000 – 32,000 | ₹37,000 – 48,000 | ₹78,000 – 1,20,000 |
| 7 nights (adds Baratang or a North Bay and Ross day) | ₹28,500 – 36,000 | ₹42,000 – 55,000 | ₹90,000+ |
Return flights from Bangalore: KIA–Port Blair non-stop fares usually sit between ₹10,000 and ₹18,000 per person return when booked five to six weeks ahead. Expect ₹18,000–28,000 for Christmas–New Year, the Dasara break and the April–May school holidays. We book the flight with the package so that your first ferry is timed to your actual landing.
Usually extra: scuba diving (₹3,500–7,500 for a try dive, depending on the site and the operator), sea walk and glass-bottom boat rides, the boat to Elephant Beach if not included, water sports at North Bay, camera fees at some sites, lunches and tips. A premium ferry class on one leg costs ₹800–1,500 more per person, and many honeymoon couples choose it.
Where the price gap comes from: most of it is the Havelock resort. A beach-facing cottage at Radhanagar and a room in the market area 7 km away are both "Havelock", but they are a different holiday. Check the resort name and its beach on every quote.
Flights from Bangalore and the Andaman ferry system
Kempegowda (BLR) to Port Blair (IXZ)
- Non-stop: IndiGo and Air India Express fly the route daily, mostly as morning departures that land in Port Blair between about 9 am and 2 pm. Flying time is about 2 hours 30 to 45 minutes.
- One-stop: via Chennai, Hyderabad or Kolkata, 4½–7 hours in total. Useful when non-stop seats are expensive in peak weeks.
- Getting to KIA: allow 1½–2½ hours from Whitefield, Electronic City or Jayanagar at peak hours. For a 6 am departure you leave home around 3 am; the airport bus (Vayu Vajra) runs through the night if you prefer it to a cab.
- Arrival: Veer Savarkar International Airport is 10–15 minutes from most Port Blair hotels. Return flights to Bangalore leave around midday or early afternoon, so the last night of a trip is always in Port Blair, never on Havelock.
Ferries between the islands
There is no road or bridge between Port Blair, Havelock (Swaraj Dweep) and Neil (Shaheed Dweep). Everything moves by ferry, and the ferry seat is the first thing to sell out.
| Route | Private catamaran | Government ferry |
|---|---|---|
| Port Blair – Havelock | About 1½–2¼ hours; ₹1,100–3,500 per seat by class | 2½–3 hours; cheap but hard to book |
| Havelock – Neil | About 1 hour | 1–1½ hours |
| Neil – Port Blair | About 1–1½ hours | 2 hours |
- Private operators include Makruzz, Nautika, Green Ocean and ITT Majestic. Most departures from Port Blair leave between 6 am and 2 pm from Haddo Jetty.
- Reach the jetty 45–60 minutes early with a photo ID for every traveller, including children.
- Ferries are cancelled in rough weather, mainly from late May to September and occasionally in a cyclone alert. We never plan a ferry and a flight on the same day.
- We book all ferry legs when you confirm, which is the single biggest advantage of a package over a DIY trip in December and May.

- Day 3: Ferry to Havelock; check in.
- Days 4–5: Two free days on Havelock – a PADI open-water course for the keen, or kayaking in the mangroves and long afternoons at Radhanagar.
- Day 6: Ferry to Neil, half-day exploring, ferry to Port Blair. Keep scuba to at least 24 hours before the flight.
- Day 7: Fly to Bangalore.
Each plan is a private trip with your own cab on every island. Friends and extended families travel together as a private group on their own dates, with ferry seats booked as one block.
Andaman honeymoon from Bangalore: what couples ask
A large share of our Andaman bookings from Bangalore are honeymoons, often fixed a few weeks after a wedding in the November–February or April–June muhurtham months. The questions are always similar:
- Which island for the nights? Havelock. Spend two or three of your nights there, ideally at a resort within walking distance of Radhanagar or on Vijaynagar beach (Beach No. 5). Neil is quieter and works well as a single night or a day stop.
- Is scuba safe for first-timers? Yes, with a certified operator. A try dive takes 30–40 minutes in water 8–12 m deep with an instructor holding you; you do not need to swim. Avoid it if either of you has ear, heart or asthma problems.
- What do honeymoon extras cost? Room decoration, a cake and one candle-light beach dinner are part of our honeymoon packages. A private underwater photoshoot or a sunset kayak adds ₹3,000–8,000 per couple.
- Andaman or a foreign beach? Compared with Bali or Thailand from Bangalore, the Andaman saves the passport and visa work and the airfare is lower; the trade-off is fewer nightlife and dining choices, and slower internet.
- Budget versus premium: a deluxe beach resort on Havelock gives most of the experience. The luxury villas at Radhanagar are worth it if the honeymoon is the one splurge of the year.
Karnataka school holidays and Bengaluru long weekends
Families from Bangalore mostly travel in three windows, and each one behaves differently in the islands.
- Dasara break: Karnataka state schools closed from 3 to 21 October in 2026. October is the tail of the north-east monsoon in the Andaman, with short showers and a sea that is usually fine for ferries. Expect the same window in 2027; book flights by August.
- Christmas and year-end: CBSE and ICSE schools in Bengaluru break for about a week around Christmas. This is peak season in the islands – resorts on Havelock fill by October, and ferries for 24–31 December should be booked as soon as you confirm.
- Summer vacation: Karnataka's 2027 summer break is scheduled to begin on 11 April. Mid-April to mid-May is one of the best times for clear water and diving, and the monsoon usually arrives in the last week of May – so travel in April or the first half of May if you can.
- Short breaks: a four-night Andaman trip fits a long weekend plus two days of leave. With early morning flights from KIA you lose very little of day one.
Best time to visit Andaman from Bangalore: month by month
| Month | Weather and sea | Good for | Prices |
|---|---|---|---|
| January | Dry, 23–30°C, calm sea | Honeymoons, diving, families | High |
| February | Dry, excellent visibility | Best all-round month | High |
| March | Warm, very clear water | Scuba courses, snorkelling | Medium-high |
| April | Hot (up to 32°C), calm | Karnataka summer vacation, diving | High |
| May | Humid; monsoon usually arrives late in the month | First half only | Medium |
| June – August | South-west monsoon, rough sea, ferry cancellations | Not recommended for a first visit | Lowest |
| September | Rain easing, sea still choppy | Flexible travellers on a budget | Low |
| October | Short showers, green islands | Dasara break trips from Bangalore | Medium |
| November | Occasional north-east monsoon rain; cyclone alerts possible | Quiet beaches, good rates | Medium |
| December | Dry and sunny from mid-month | Christmas and New Year | Highest from 20 December |
The sea matters more than the air temperature: for snorkelling and diving, visibility is best from January to April. If your dates fall in November, keep one spare day in Port Blair in case a ferry is cancelled.
Food and tips for Bangalore travellers in the Andaman
South Indian vegetarian food
The islands have large Tamil, Telugu and Malayali communities, so idli, dosa, sambar-rice and filter coffee are easier to find than most people expect. Port Blair has several pure-veg South Indian restaurants around Aberdeen Bazaar that serve full meals at lunch. On Havelock, a few small veg eateries near the jetty and the market (Village No. 3) do dosa and South Indian meals, and resort kitchens cook curd rice, rasam and vegetable curries on request. Neil has the fewest choices – simple veg thalis and whatever your hotel prepares. Seafood dominates restaurant menus everywhere, so tell us if you need a strictly vegetarian kitchen; we confirm it in writing on hotel vouchers. Jain meals are possible at better resorts with notice, but options are limited outside them.
Practical tips
- Permits: Indian citizens need no permit for Port Blair, Havelock, Neil or Baratang. Carry original photo ID for every traveller – it is checked at the airport, every jetty and some beaches.
- Network: Jio, Airtel and BSNL work in Port Blair; on Havelock and Neil, data is slow and calls can drop. Download tickets and vouchers before leaving Bangalore.
- Cash: ATMs on Havelock and Neil run dry in peak season. Carry enough cash for small eateries, auto rides and tips.
- Sun and sea: the sun is far stronger than in Bengaluru – pack reef-safe sunscreen, a hat and quick-dry clothes. Use water shoes at Neil, where the rocks and coral are sharp.
- Scuba and flying: leave at least 24 hours between your last dive and the flight back to Bangalore.
- Protected areas: do not collect coral or shells, and follow the no-photography rule on the Baratang road.

How much does a Andaman tour package from Bangalore cost?
Our Andaman packages currently start at ₹12,000 per person for 3 nights. Most of our Andaman packages fall between ₹20,750 and ₹36,500 per person. The final cost depends on the travel month, hotel category, number of travellers and whether flights from {$from} are added. Open any package below to see exactly what is included, or ask us for a quote with flights.
Is there a direct flight from Bangalore to Port Blair?
Yes. IndiGo and Air India Express fly non-stop from Kempegowda International Airport to Port Blair every day, taking about 2 hours 30 to 45 minutes. Most departures are in the morning, which lets you reach Port Blair by early afternoon and start sightseeing on the first day.
What is the flight fare from Bangalore to Andaman?
A return ticket from Bangalore to Port Blair usually costs ₹10,000 to ₹18,000 per person when booked five to six weeks ahead. Fares rise to ₹18,000 to ₹28,000 in the Christmas week, the Dasara break and the April–May school holidays. Booking the flight with the package lets us time the ferries to your landing.
How many days are enough for Andaman from Bangalore?
Five nights is the most popular length: one night in Port Blair at each end, two or three on Havelock, and a stop at Neil. Four nights works for a short honeymoon without Neil. Six or seven nights lets you add Baratang and keep a weather buffer for ferries.
Are ferry tickets included in your Andaman package?
Yes. All ferry legs between Port Blair, Havelock and Neil are included and booked as soon as you confirm, usually on private catamarans such as Makruzz, Nautika or Green Ocean. You can upgrade to a premium class on any leg for an extra charge.
Is South Indian vegetarian food available on Havelock?
Yes, though the choice is smaller than in Bangalore. A few eateries near the Havelock jetty and market serve dosa and veg meals, and resort kitchens prepare curd rice, sambar and rasam on request. Port Blair has several pure-veg South Indian restaurants. Neil has the most limited options.
When should a Bangalore family travel during school holidays?
The Karnataka summer vacation from mid-April is a very good time – calm sea and clear water until the monsoon arrives in late May. The October Dasara break also works, with short showers. Avoid June to August, when rough seas cancel ferries.
How much does an Andaman honeymoon from Bangalore cost?
A 4-night deluxe honeymoon package usually costs ₹26,000 to ₹34,000 per person without flights, plus ₹10,000 to ₹18,000 each for return flights from Bangalore. Premium resorts on Radhanagar beach push the land cost to ₹55,000 or more per person. Decoration, a cake and a beach dinner are included.
Can non-swimmers do scuba diving in the Andaman?
Yes. A try dive on Havelock or Neil is done with an instructor who controls your buoyancy, so swimming is not required. You will be asked to fill in a medical form. People with heart, ear or breathing conditions should skip it, and everyone should leave 24 hours before flying.
Do Indians need a permit to visit the Andaman Islands?
No permit is needed for Indian citizens visiting Port Blair, Havelock, Neil, Ross Island, North Bay or Baratang. Carry original government photo ID for every traveller, including children, because it is checked at the airport and at each ferry jetty. Tribal reserve areas are off-limits.
Can we visit the Andaman during the monsoon?
It is possible but not ideal. From late May to September the sea is rough, water sports are often shut and ferries can be cancelled at short notice. Rates are lowest then. If you must travel in these months, keep two spare days in the plan.
How early should I leave for Kempegowda airport for the Port Blair flight?
Plan to reach KIA two hours before departure. From Whitefield, Electronic City or south Bangalore the drive can take 1½ to 2½ hours, so for an early morning flight you will leave home around 3 am. The Vayu Vajra airport bus runs through the night.
