Andaman Tour Packages from Delhi
Swap Delhi's smog and fog for 28°C and clear water – an island trip planned around the dawn flights from IGI, winter fog delays and the January school break.
When Delhi is wrapped in grey haze and the night temperature drops to single digits, the Andaman Islands are warm, sunny and breezy, with some of the cleanest air in India. That contrast is why our Delhi and NCR enquiries for the Andamans start in October and peak from mid-November to the end of January. The islands are a long way from the capital – about 2,500 km, the longest domestic hop most Delhi families ever take – but a non-stop flight from IGI gets you to Port Blair before lunch, and no passport or visa is needed.
This page is written for travellers flying from Delhi, Noida, Gurugram and the rest of NCR. It covers what an Andaman package costs per person, the non-stop and one-stop flights from IGI as of November 2026, how winter fog at Delhi airport should change your first-day plan, three day-wise itineraries, the 2026–27 long weekends and school breaks, a month-by-month table, and frank notes on Punjabi and North Indian food on the islands. Your trip is planned by our team in Ahmedabad and booked over WhatsApp or phone; we have no Delhi office, and every voucher reaches you as a PDF. The packages shown on this page carry live prices.

Andaman package cost from Delhi (2026–27 season)
We have 24 Andaman packages on sale right now, starting at ₹12,000 per person. The bands below are per person with two sharing a room and exclude the Delhi–Port Blair airfare. They include hotels with breakfast, private-catamaran tickets between the islands, a private AC vehicle for airport and jetty transfers and sightseeing on each island, Cellular Jail entry with the evening light-and-sound show, and the boat to Ross and North Bay islands.
| Plan | Standard (3-star / cottages) | Deluxe (4-star resorts) | Premium (beachfront luxury) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 nights – Port Blair 1, Havelock 2, Port Blair 1 | ₹17,000 – 22,000 | ₹24,500 – 32,500 | ₹46,000 – 72,000 |
| 5 nights – Port Blair 2, Havelock 2, Neil 1 | ₹21,500 – 28,000 | ₹31,000 – 41,000 | ₹56,000 – 88,000 |
| 6 nights – adds a third Havelock night or Baratang | ₹25,000 – 33,000 | ₹36,500 – 49,000 | ₹66,000 – 1,02,000 |
| 7 nights – slow pace for seniors, buffer day built in | ₹29,000 – 38,000 | ₹42,500 – 57,000 | ₹76,000 – 1,18,000 |
Airfare from Delhi: a return ticket on the non-stop flights usually costs ₹14,000 – 24,000 per person when bought five to seven weeks ahead. Over Christmas and New Year, the first half of January and Holi week, expect ₹28,000 – 40,000. One-stop itineraries via Chennai or Kolkata are sometimes cheaper but add three to five hours. We book the flights with the package so the arrival time and the ferry booking match.
Paid locally unless your quote says otherwise: a try dive at Havelock (roughly ₹4,500 – 7,500), sea walk at North Bay (about ₹3,500 – 4,000), the boat to Elephant Beach (about ₹1,000 – 1,500 per person), glass-bottom boat and semi-submarine rides, jet ski and parasailing, the Baratang trip if not included, lunches and dinners, and tips. Each one appears on your quotation with an approximate figure.
Where the money goes: three things explain almost every price gap between two Andaman quotes – the Havelock hotel (beachfront or two kilometres inland), the ferry class (premium seats on a private catamaran or a government boat), and the dates. A room that costs ₹6,000 a night in early November can cost ₹14,000 between 22 December and 2 January.
Flights from IGI to Port Blair (as of November 2026)
Port Blair's airport, Veer Savarkar International (IXZ), is the only gateway by air. The town is now officially called Sri Vijaya Puram, Havelock is Swaraj Dweep and Neil is Shaheed Dweep; tickets and ferry boards may show either name.
| Option | Typical timing | Flying time | Comment |
|---|---|---|---|
| Non-stop Delhi–Port Blair, Air India | Departures in the early morning, roughly between 4 am and 7.30 am | About 3½–3¾ hours | The earliest one lands by about 8 am and leaves the whole day free |
| Non-stop Delhi–Port Blair, Air India Express | Mid-morning departure, landing around midday | About 3¾ hours | Usually too late for the afternoon catamaran to Havelock |
| One-stop via Chennai, Kolkata or Bengaluru (IndiGo and others) | Many combinations | 6 – 9 hours in total | Backup when non-stops are full or costly |
In all, about three non-stop flights a day were scheduled in early November 2026. Airlines change these timings with every season, so treat the table as a guide; we check the live schedule when we quote.
Winter fog at IGI: why we plan the first night in Port Blair
From about mid-December to the end of January, dense fog regularly delays early-morning departures from Delhi, sometimes by two to four hours. That matters more for the Andamans than for most trips, because the last private catamaran to Havelock leaves Port Blair in the early afternoon and the islands' airport handles most flights in daylight. For travel in the fog season we therefore keep the first night in Port Blair: you see the Cellular Jail and the light-and-sound show that evening and take the morning boat to Havelock the next day. A late flight then costs you nothing. Outside the fog weeks, a flight landing by about 10 am lets us take you straight to the jetty.
Getting to IGI for a dawn flight
- For a 4–5 am departure, reach the airport by about 2.30 am. The Airport Express Metro does not run at that hour, so book a cab; from Noida or Ghaziabad allow 60–75 minutes even at night.
- Check the terminal printed on your ticket. Air India and Air India Express flights do not always use the same terminal, and the walk between terminals is not possible.
- On the way back, Port Blair–Delhi flights usually leave in the morning or around midday and reach IGI in the afternoon, so the last night must be in Port Blair, never on Havelock or Neil.
Ferries between the islands
- Port Blair – Havelock: private catamarans (Makruzz, ITT Majestic, Green Ocean and others) take about 1½–2½ hours. Morning sailings leave from around 6 to 8 am; one or two more leave around midday to early afternoon.
- Havelock – Neil: about 1 hour. Neil – Port Blair: about 1–1½ hours.
- Government ferries are cheaper but slower, sell out to residents and are hard to book from Delhi. We use private catamarans unless you ask otherwise.
- Indian citizens need no permit for Port Blair, Havelock, Neil or Baratang; carry original photo ID, which is checked at the airport and every jetty.
- Catamarans allow roughly 20–25 kg of luggage per person. A family bringing woollens from Delhi should leave them in the car or at the Port Blair hotel.
Three Andaman itineraries built around Delhi departures
5 nights / 6 days – fog-season family plan (mid-December to January)
- Day 1: Early flight from IGI. Hotel in Port Blair; rest after the night start. Corbyn's Cove beach, then the Cellular Jail and its light-and-sound show at dusk.
- Day 2: Morning catamaran to Havelock. Afternoon at Radhanagar beach, staying for sunset.
- Day 3: Speedboat to Elephant Beach for snorkelling and the glass-bottom boat; children over about eight can snorkel with a guide. Evening free.
- Day 4: Catamaran to Neil. Natural rock bridge at low tide, Bharatpur beach for calm water, sunset at Laxmanpur.
- Day 5: Ferry to Port Blair. Ross Island (Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Dweep) and North Bay by boat if the timing allows, otherwise the Samudrika naval museum and Aberdeen Bazaar.
- Day 6: Flight back to Delhi.
4 nights / 5 days – Christmas long weekend for couples
Christmas 2026 falls on a Friday. With the Thursday and Monday off you get five days.
- Day 1 (Thursday): The earliest non-stop from IGI. If it lands on time, straight to the jetty for the early-afternoon catamaran to Havelock; if fog has delayed it, we switch to the Port Blair night already held in reserve.
- Day 2: Elephant Beach in the morning, a slow afternoon, candle-light dinner at the resort.
- Day 3: Try dive with a certified centre, or Kalapathar beach at sunrise and a lazy day at Radhanagar. Divers should not fly for 18–24 hours afterwards, so dive no later than this day.
- Day 4: Catamaran to Port Blair; Chidiya Tapu for sunset.
- Day 5 (Monday): Flight home; back at IGI in the afternoon.
7 nights / 8 days – grandparents and a slower pace (February to April)
- Day 1: Flight to Port Blair; afternoon rest. Light-and-sound show only.
- Day 2: Cellular Jail museum wing in the cool of the morning (there are stairs; the ground floor and courtyard are level), Anthropological Museum after lunch.
- Day 3: Ross Island on the electric buggy, then North Bay by glass-bottom boat – no swimming needed.
- Days 4–5: Havelock, two nights in a resort close to the beach with ground-floor rooms. Radhanagar at sunset; a half day at Kalapathar.
- Day 6: Neil Island for one night; the natural bridge is a short walk on rocks, so we judge it on the day.
- Day 7: Back to Port Blair; free afternoon.
- Day 8: Flight to Delhi.
Every itinerary is private and customised: your own vehicle on each island and seats booked together on the ferries. Extended families and friends from NCR travel as a private group on their own dates, and we change the order of islands to suit the ferry timetable on your days.
Leaving Delhi's winter behind: long weekends and school breaks for 2026–27
The Andaman dry season (roughly November to April) sits almost exactly on Delhi's worst air and coldest weeks. A typical mid-December comparison: Delhi 20°C by day and 6–8°C at night with hazy, often "very poor" air; Port Blair and Havelock 29–30°C by day and 23–24°C at night with sea breeze and clear skies. For children with a winter cough or grandparents with breathing trouble, families tell us that week on the beach is the real reason for the trip.
| Occasion (2026–27) | Date | How it fits an Andaman trip | Book by |
|---|---|---|---|
| Guru Nanak Jayanti | Tuesday 24 November 2026 | Take Monday off for a four-night trip at early-season rates; the sea is settling after the north-east showers | Now |
| Christmas | Friday 25 December 2026 | Four nights with two days' leave; the most expensive week of the year | Already late – book immediately |
| Delhi government-school winter break | 1 – 15 January 2027 (Directorate of Education calendar) | Five or six nights after 3 January, when hotel rates ease from the New Year peak | Six to eight weeks ahead |
| Republic Day | Tuesday 26 January 2027 | Monday off gives a four-day weekend; calm sea, good snorkelling visibility | Late November |
| Holi | March 2027 | Board exams keep many families at home, so couples get quieter beaches | January |
| Summer vacation | Usually mid-May to end-June in Delhi schools | Poor fit – the south-west monsoon reaches the islands around 20 May | See below |
The summer problem: Delhi schools close just as the Andaman monsoon arrives. If your children's school breaks before about 15 May, the first ten days of May still work – hot, humid and with the clearest water of the year. After that, water sports are often suspended and ferries can be cancelled. For a June holiday from Delhi we usually suggest the hills instead; see our Manali trips from Delhi or Kashmir from Delhi.
Private schools in Noida, Gurugram and Faridabad often follow slightly different winter-break dates, and cold-wave orders have extended the break in past years. Send us the school circular and we plan around it.
Andaman month by month for travellers from Delhi
| Month | Andaman weather | Delhi angle | Prices |
|---|---|---|---|
| October | Showers early, clearing late | Dussehra and Diwali breaks; some ferry disruption possible | Medium, high in Diwali week |
| November | Mostly dry, odd shower; Bay of Bengal cyclone alerts possible | Smog season at home; Guru Nanak Jayanti long weekend | Medium-high |
| December | Dry, 23–30°C | Fog delays at IGI from mid-month; Christmas week peak | Highest from 20 December |
| January | Dry, calm sea | Winter break and Republic Day; plan around fog | High, easing after the first week |
| February | Dry, excellent visibility | Wedding-season honeymoons; mild weather in Delhi too | High |
| March | Warm, calm | Exams keep families home; couples and divers | Medium-high |
| April | Hot, 25–33°C | Delhi heating up; quieter islands | Medium |
| May | Hot; monsoon arrives around 20 May | Only before the summer break begins | Medium |
| June – September | Heavy rain, rough sea | Not advised for families | Lowest |
Delhi's wedding season (November to February) also makes the Andamans one of the main domestic honeymoon choices from North India. Couples marrying in late November or early December should book the Havelock resort as soon as the wedding date is fixed; beachfront rooms for the week after big wedding dates go first.
Punjabi and North Indian food, drinks and packing from Delhi
Eating on the islands
- Port Blair has the widest choice. Restaurants around Aberdeen Bazaar and the Junglighat area serve North Indian food – dal makhani, paneer dishes, rotis and parathas – alongside South Indian and Bengali cooking. Pure-veg places are easy to find.
- Havelock has a few North Indian and vegetarian restaurants near the market and jetty; most resort kitchens will make rotis, dal and a paneer dish with notice. Beach shacks lean towards seafood, pasta and pizza.
- Neil is small. Eat at your resort if you are strictly vegetarian, and ask in the morning for what you want at dinner.
- Seafood: for non-vegetarian Delhi families, tandoori fish, crab and lobster are the highlight. Ask the price by weight before ordering.
- Jain or no onion-garlic: possible in Port Blair and at larger Havelock resorts with notice. We put the request on each voucher.
- Drinks: licensed bars and some resorts serve alcohol; small cottages on Neil and parts of Havelock may not. Drinking on beaches is not allowed, and no one may snorkel or dive after a drink.
Packing for a 25-degree swing
- Leave home in layers you can peel off: a jacket for the 3 am cab to IGI goes into the hand bag before boarding, and you land in cotton.
- Pack cotton clothes, swimwear, a rash guard for children, reef-safe sunscreen, a hat, slippers that can get wet, a light rain jacket and motion-sickness tablets for the catamaran.
- Bring prescription medicines for the full trip; Havelock and Neil have only small pharmacies.
- Carry cash. ATMs are reliable in Port Blair, fewer on Havelock and unreliable on Neil. Mobile data is slow outside Port Blair; tell office colleagues you may be hard to reach.
- Do not touch or stand on coral and do not take shells or coral home; it is an offence under wildlife law.
- The Baratang road passes through the Jarawa reserve in a police convoy. Photographing or stopping near the Jarawa people is banned.
Why Delhi travellers book the Andamans with Vibrant Holidays
- Honest remote planning: we are a team of about 18 at our C G Road office in Ahmedabad, in business for 11 years. Delhi and NCR clients plan with us on WhatsApp, phone or video call, Monday to Saturday, and receive the itinerary, ferry tickets, vouchers and invoice as PDFs.
- Fog-aware first day: in the December–January fog weeks we plan the first night in Port Blair so a delayed IGI departure does not cost a ferry or a hotel night.
- Live prices, extras listed: the package prices shown are today's prices, and diving, sea walk and boat rides are itemised before you pay.
- Food in writing: North Indian vegetarian, Jain or seafood preferences are printed on every hotel voucher.
- Support during the trip: a 24×7 WhatsApp line and partners in Port Blair and Havelock for ferry changes. IATA-accredited; member of TAAI, TAFI, ADTOI and IATO; recognised by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.

How much does a Andaman tour package from Delhi cost?
Our Andaman packages currently start at ₹12,000 per person for 3 nights. Most of our Andaman packages fall between ₹20,750 and ₹36,500 per person. The final cost depends on the travel month, hotel category, number of travellers and whether flights from Delhi are added. Open any package below to see exactly what is included, or ask us for a quote with flights.
Is there a direct flight from Delhi to Port Blair?
Yes. As of November 2026 Air India and Air India Express fly non-stop from IGI to Port Blair, about three flights a day, taking roughly 3½ to 3¾ hours. Most leave in the early morning. IndiGo and other airlines connect through Chennai, Kolkata or Bengaluru, which takes six to nine hours in total.
Can we reach Havelock on the same day we fly from Delhi?
Often yes, if you take the earliest non-stop and it lands by about 10 am, because the last private catamaran to Havelock leaves Port Blair in the early afternoon. From mid-December to January, fog at IGI often delays dawn departures, so in those weeks we plan the first night in Port Blair instead.
How much does the Delhi to Port Blair flight cost?
A return ticket on the non-stop flights usually costs about ₹14,000 to ₹24,000 per person when booked five to seven weeks ahead. Christmas, New Year, the January winter break and Holi push fares to roughly ₹28,000 to ₹40,000. One-stop routes are sometimes cheaper but take several hours longer.
How many days are enough for an Andaman trip from Delhi?
Five nights is the comfortable minimum from Delhi because the flight is long and starts before dawn. That covers Port Blair, two nights on Havelock and one on Neil. Four nights works for couples on a long weekend. Seven nights suits grandparents and leaves a spare day for weather.
Is the Andaman Islands a good winter escape from Delhi pollution?
Yes. From November to February, when Delhi often has very poor air and cold nights, the islands are 23 to 30°C with sea breeze and clear skies. Families with young children or elderly parents who suffer in the Delhi winter are among our most frequent Andaman travellers.
Can we visit the Andamans during the Delhi summer vacation?
Only at the very start. The south-west monsoon usually reaches the islands around 20 May, bringing rough seas, cancelled water sports and occasional ferry cancellations. If your break begins in early May, travel in the first ten days. For June, the hills such as Manali or Kashmir are a better choice from Delhi.
Is North Indian vegetarian food available in Andaman?
Yes, especially in Port Blair, where several restaurants serve dal, paneer, rotis and parathas. Havelock has a few vegetarian and North Indian places, and resort kitchens cook to order with notice. Neil Island is limited, so vegetarians should eat at their resort. We write meal requests on every hotel voucher.
Do Delhi residents need a permit for the Andaman Islands?
No permit is needed by Indian citizens for Port Blair, Havelock, Neil or Baratang. Carry original government photo ID such as Aadhaar, a passport or a driving licence, because it is checked at the airport, every jetty and the Baratang convoy. Tribal reserves and some outer islands are closed to all visitors.
Which is better for a honeymoon from Delhi, Andaman or Goa?
Goa is closer, about 2½ hours non-stop, and livelier at night. The Andamans need a longer flight but offer clearer water, coral you can snorkel over and quieter beaches such as Radhanagar. Couples who want calm and sea life choose the Andamans; those with only three nights usually pick Goa.
What should we pack when flying from a cold Delhi to the islands?
Travel in layers and take the jacket off before boarding. Pack cotton clothes, swimwear, a rash guard, reef-safe sunscreen, a hat, slippers that can get wet, a light rain jacket and motion-sickness tablets for ferries. Bring enough cash for Havelock and Neil, where ATMs are few.
When should we book an Andaman trip for Christmas or the January break?
For Christmas and New Year, book by September or October; by November good beachfront rooms on Havelock are scarce. For the January winter break and the Republic Day weekend, six to eight weeks ahead is sensible. For February to April, three to four weeks is usually enough.
