Goa Tour Packages from Delhi
Swap fog and smog for 30°C sunshine in about two and a half hours – private Goa holidays from IGI, timed to winter breaks, long weekends and New Year.
When families in Delhi ask us for a beach in winter, the reason is rarely just the beach. From November the capital sits under a grey haze, mornings drop to single digits by late December, and fog starts delaying trains and flights. Goa, two and a half hours away by air, is at 30°C with clear skies and a calm sea for that entire stretch. That is why the route is one of the busiest in India from November to February, and why fares and hotel rates on it swing so much.
This page is for travellers from the whole NCR – Gurugram, Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad included. It covers package costs without flights, which IGI terminal and which Goa airport to use, whether Hindon or the new Noida airport help (as of November 2026, not for Goa), the Rajdhani and Goa Express, three itineraries shaped by flight timings, the January school break and 2026–27 long weekends, New Year pricing, and food for Punjabi, vegetarian and Jain travellers. Our team in Ahmedabad plans and books every trip on WhatsApp or phone; there is no office in the capital. Every holiday is private, with your own car and driver in Goa.

Goa packages you can book now
Our latest Goa packages on Vibrant Holidays — 2 to 11 nights. Every package can be customised for departure from Delhi.
What a Goa package from Delhi costs (2026–27 season)
Goa packages on our site start at ₹5,999 per person today, and 24 are on sale. Because the flight takes most of a morning or afternoon, we rarely advise fewer than four nights. Prices are per person on twin sharing without airfare, and include the hotel with breakfast, arrival and departure transfers, and a private AC car for the sightseeing days.
| Nights and plan | Value (3-star, short walk to beach) | Comfort (4-star with pool) | Luxury (5-star beach resort) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 nights – one beach belt only | ₹8,500 – 12,500 | ₹14,000 – 21,000 | ₹30,000 – 47,000 |
| 4 nights – two north, two south | ₹11,500 – 16,500 | ₹19,000 – 27,500 | ₹40,000 – 62,000 |
| 5 nights – adds Dudhsagar and a free day | ₹14,000 – 20,000 | ₹23,500 – 34,000 | ₹50,000 – 77,000 |
| 6 nights – slow winter break, mostly south | ₹16,500 – 23,500 | ₹27,500 – 40,000 | ₹59,000 – 92,000 |
Return airfare: as of November 2026, an economy return from IGI usually costs about ₹8,000 – 15,000 per person when booked four to six weeks ahead for November, early December or February. Between Christmas and the first week of January it commonly reaches ₹18,000 – 30,000, and the cheapest seats go by October. June and July are the cheapest months.
New Year surcharge: most resorts add a compulsory gala dinner on 31 December, typically ₹5,000 – 15,000 per adult at 4- and 5-star properties, and many insist on a minimum stay of three to five nights across 30 December – 1 January. Room rates for those nights can be two to three times the early-December rate. We show both on the quote before you confirm.
Paid locally: water sports, the Dudhsagar jeep, casino cruises in Panaji, scooter hire, meals beyond breakfast and tips; the quote gives rough figures for each.
Flights to Goa from IGI: terminals, airlines and airports
As of November 2026, roughly 20 non-stop flights a day link IGI with the two Goa airports, with a block time of about 2 hours 30 to 45 minutes. Slots change every schedule season, so we confirm the actual flight, terminal and timing for your date.
| Airline | Usual IGI terminal (domestic) | Flies to | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|---|
| IndiGo | Terminal 1 | Mopa (GOX) and Dabolim (GOI) | Most departures, early morning to late evening |
| Air India | Terminal 2 or 3, by flight number | Mopa and Dabolim | Checked bag included on most fares |
| Air India Express | Terminal 2 or 3, by flight number | Mopa | Often priced close to IndiGo |
| Akasa Air | Terminal 1 | Mopa | Fewer frequencies; good off-peak fares |
| SpiceJet | Terminal 1 | Mopa | Schedules change more often |
Terminal 1 has its own approach road, separate from T2 and T3. Heading to the wrong one on a winter morning can cost 30–45 minutes, so the terminal is printed on our itinerary next to the flight.
Mopa or Dabolim?
Mopa (Manohar International) is at the northern tip of Goa; Dabolim is near Vasco in the middle. From Candolim northwards, land at Mopa. For Panaji, Colva, Benaulim, Cavelossim or further south, Dabolim is better. More flights from the capital now land at Mopa, which tempts people into a two-hour taxi to a South Goa resort on day one. We choose the airport first and the fare second, and on split stays book one airport in and the other out.
Hindon and Noida airports
- Hindon (Ghaziabad): IndiGo and Air India Express flew Hindon–Goa in 2025, handy for East Delhi and Ghaziabad. As of November 2026, flight-tracking data shows no current non-stop, so we plan from IGI and will offer Hindon if the route returns.
- Noida International Airport (Jewar): commercial flights began on 15 June 2026. The opening network from IndiGo and Akasa covers Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Navi Mumbai, Lucknow, Srinagar and others, but no Goa service had been announced as of November 2026.
How flight timings shape day one
- Early departures (about 5–7 am): land before 10 am with most of the day ahead, but leaving Gurugram or Noida at 3 am is hard on children and seniors.
- Late-morning and midday: the family favourite. Land mid-afternoon, check in, catch the sunset.
- Evening flights: cheapest on many dates, but you reach a South Goa resort near midnight. Fine for a stay close to Mopa.
- Fog on the way back: from mid-December to January, dense fog can delay early-morning and late-night arrivals at IGI. We prefer a return that lands in daylight and never book a tight onward plan the same day.
By train: Rajdhani or Goa Express from Hazrat Nizamuddin
Rail suits senior couples who dislike flying, travellers who enjoy the journey, or a large family saving on peak-season airfare. Both main services start at Hazrat Nizamuddin (NZM), not New Delhi station.
| Train (as of November 2026) | Route | Approximate time | What it suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| 22414 NZM–Madgaon Rajdhani | Kota, Vadodara, Panvel and the Konkan Railway; halts at Thivim, ends at Madgaon | About 25½–26 hours | Fastest by rail; all-AC with meals; runs on selected days only |
| 12780 Goa Express | Agra, Bhopal, Pune, Belagavi and Londa; reaches Madgaon early on day three, then Vasco da Gama | About 38–40 hours to Madgaon | Daily; sleeper to AC classes; long but relaxed |
Thivim suits North Goa hotels; Madgaon suits the south. Running days change with each timetable and published days for the Rajdhani differ between sources, so we check IRCTC before booking. A popular combination is the Rajdhani down and a flight back, so the return is a short hop before school or office restarts. Driving about 1,900 km is not practical for a holiday of under two weeks.
Three Goa itineraries built around Delhi departures
4 nights – winter escape for a family (midday flight to Mopa)
- Day 1: Fly out of T1 at midday, land at Mopa about 3 pm, 45 minutes to a Candolim or Sinquerim hotel; first swim of the winter before sunset.
- Day 2: Fort Aguada early, banana boat and parasailing at Calangute before the midday heat, Chapora fort and Vagator cliffs at sunset.
- Day 3: South through Panaji: Fontainhas lanes, the Old Goa basilica, Mangueshi temple at Ponda; check in at Benaulim or Varca.
- Day 4: Colva beach morning, Cabo de Rama fort and Palolem bay in the afternoon.
- Day 5: Dabolim is 30–40 minutes away; an afternoon flight lands home before dark.
5 nights – New Year for couples or friends (book by October)
- 29 December: morning flight to Mopa; check in at Anjuna, Vagator or Morjim.
- 30 December: Arambol and Ashwem beaches, dinner at a cliff-top restaurant.
- 31 December: rest by day; the resort gala, a shack party or a Mandovi cruise at night, with your own car and driver so nobody hunts for taxis.
- 1 January: late breakfast, transfer to a quiet South Goa resort.
- 2 January: dolphin boat at Palolem or kayaking on the Sal river.
- 3 January: fly back from Dabolim on a flight landing in daylight.
6 nights – parents or seniors, mostly South Goa
- Day 1: late-morning flight to Dabolim; a ground-floor or lift-served room at a garden resort in Cavelossim or Mobor.
- Days 2 and 5: free days at the resort, with an optional gentle river cruise.
- Day 3: half day at the Shantadurga and Mangueshi temples and a shaded spice farm with vegetarian lunch.
- Day 4: Old Goa churches, a slow lunch in Panaji, Miramar at sunset.
- Day 6: Cabo de Rama and Agonda for a quiet afternoon.
- Day 7: return flight, with wheelchair help at both airports booked in advance if needed.
Every trip is private: your own car, driver, hotels and dates. Large families and friend circles travel as a private group, usually in a Tempo Traveller.
Escaping the winter: school break and 2026–27 long weekends
The capital's worst months line up almost exactly with Goa's best. In November and December air quality is often in the "very poor" or "severe" band, and pollution-control orders can close primary schools at short notice; late December and January bring fog and cold-wave days. Goa is dry, 20–32°C and sunny throughout. Many of our NCR clients plan the trip as a deliberate break from the smog, particularly families with young children or grandparents with breathing problems.
School winter break: the Directorate of Education calendar for 2026–27 lists winter holidays from 1 to 15 January 2027 for government schools; many private schools in Noida and Gurugram keep similar dates, and cold-wave orders have extended the break in past years. That fortnight after New Year is busy but clearly cheaper than 25–31 December.
| Occasion (2026–27) | Date | How to use it | Book by |
|---|---|---|---|
| Guru Nanak Jayanti | Tuesday 24 November 2026 | Take Monday off for a four-night trip at early-season rates | Now |
| Christmas | Friday 25 December 2026 | Natural three-night weekend; highest rates of the year begin | September – October |
| New Year | Friday 1 January 2027 | Second long weekend; gala dinners and minimum stays | September – October |
| Winter break | 1 – 15 January 2027 | Five or six nights after 3 January, when prices ease | Six to eight weeks ahead |
| Republic Day | Tuesday 26 January 2027 | Take Monday off; pleasant weather, moderate rates | Four to five weeks ahead |
| Holi and Good Friday | Monday 22 and Friday 26 March 2027 | Two long weekends in one week; warm, quiet beaches | Three to four weeks ahead |
The summer vacation (mid-May to June) is Goa's hottest and then wettest spell: fine for a pool resort at low prices, but the sea closes for swimming once the monsoon arrives in early June.
North or South Goa: matching the area to who is travelling
Most first-timers from north India picture Baga and Calangute, and many are let down by the crowds in peak weeks.
- Friends and young couples: Anjuna, Vagator, Assagao and Morjim – cafés, flea markets, music, short transfers from Mopa.
- First-timers wanting everything nearby: Candolim or Sinquerim, close to Calangute without sleeping next to it, with the widest choice of North Indian restaurants.
- Families with small children: Benaulim, Varca and Cavelossim – wide beaches, resort gardens, kids' clubs, little traffic.
- Honeymooners: Palolem, Agonda or a pool villa in Assagao; two nights north and three in the far south works well.
- Seniors: a South Goa resort with lifts and a garden, and half-day outings only.
Indicative extras (per person, 2026): water-sports combo about ₹1,500 – 2,500; Dudhsagar jeep with forest fee about ₹2,500 – 3,500 (roughly October to May); casino entry about ₹2,500 – 5,000, adults 21 and over; Mandovi sunset cruise about ₹500 – 1,500.
Goa month by month against the weather at home
| Month | NCR | Goa | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|
| November | Smog season | Season opens, calm sea, 23–33°C | Excellent value before December |
| December | Cold mornings, fog begins | Dry and festive | Best weather; expensive after 20 December |
| January | Coldest, dense fog | Dry, 21–32°C | School-break trips; allow for delays home |
| February | Mild | Driest month; Carnival in many years | Ideal for honeymoons and seniors |
| March | Pleasant | Warm, still clear | Holi and Good Friday weekends |
| April – May | Very hot | Humid, about 33°C | Pool resorts at low rates |
| June – September | Monsoon | Heavy rain, no sea swimming | Green drives and spa stays only |
| October | Pleasant; haze returns late | Rain ending, shacks reopen | Diwali trips; book early |
Food and practical tips for travellers from the capital
- North Indian food: Calangute, Candolim and Baga have many Punjabi dhabas and North Indian restaurants – dal makhani, paneer, tandoori rotis – because so many visitors come from the north.
- South Goa: fewer independent restaurants near the big resorts, so a half-board plan suits families who want familiar food daily. We brief the kitchen in writing.
- Vegetarian: Goan Hindu thalis in Panaji, Ponda and Margao are fully vegetarian. Beach shacks list veg dishes but share kitchens with seafood.
- Jain: possible at larger resorts with notice (no onion, garlic or root vegetables); outside the hotel it is limited. We confirm it on the voucher and say plainly where options are thin.
- Packing: keep woollens in a cabin bag for the airport at both ends; in Goa you need cottons, sunscreen and a hat.
- Getting around: app cabs are limited, so a private car for sightseeing days usually costs families less than daily taxis.
- Rules: drinking on beaches and in public places is fined; swim only at lifeguard-flagged stretches and never after dark.

How much does a Goa tour package from Delhi cost?
Our Goa packages currently start at ₹5,999 per person for 2 nights. Most of our Goa packages fall between ₹11,999 and ₹24,999 per person. The final cost depends on the travel month, hotel category, number of travellers and whether flights from Delhi are added. Open any package below to see exactly what is included, or ask us for a quote with flights.
How long is the flight from Delhi to Goa?
Non-stop flights from IGI take about 2 hours 30 to 45 minutes to either Mopa or Dabolim. As of November 2026 there are around 20 a day, mostly IndiGo, plus Air India, Air India Express, Akasa and SpiceJet. With the drive to the airport and the transfer in Goa, plan on half a day door to door.
Which IGI terminal do Goa flights use?
As of November 2026, IndiGo, Akasa and SpiceJet domestic flights use Terminal 1, while Air India and Air India Express use Terminal 2 or 3 depending on the flight number. Terminal 1 has a separate approach road, so check your ticket before leaving home. We print the terminal on your itinerary.
Should I land at Mopa or Dabolim?
Choose Mopa for hotels from Candolim northwards, including Calangute, Baga, Anjuna and Morjim. Choose Dabolim for Panaji and everything south, such as Colva, Benaulim, Cavelossim and Palolem. A cheaper Mopa fare can mean a two-hour taxi to South Goa, so we pick the airport by the hotel and only then compare fares.
Are there Goa flights from Hindon or Noida airport?
Not at present. Hindon–Goa flights ran in 2025, but as of November 2026 tracking data shows no current non-stop. Noida International Airport at Jewar opened on 15 June 2026 with routes to cities such as Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Navi Mumbai, but no Goa flight had been announced. We plan from IGI and will add these airports if services start.
Which train is best for Goa from Hazrat Nizamuddin?
The 22414 Rajdhani to Madgaon is fastest at about 25½ to 26 hours, all AC with meals, but runs only on selected days and halts at Thivim for North Goa. The daily 12780 Goa Express takes about 38 to 40 hours via Pune and Londa. Many families take the train down and fly back.
What is the usual return airfare?
As of November 2026, an economy return from IGI usually costs about ₹8,000 to 15,000 per person when booked four to six weeks ahead outside peak dates. Between Christmas and the first week of January it often reaches ₹18,000 to 30,000, while June and July are cheapest. Fares change daily, so we quote live prices with the package.
Is Goa good during the January school break?
Yes. The Directorate of Education lists winter holidays from 1 to 15 January 2027, and Goa is dry and sunny then. Travel after 3 January to avoid New Year rates and minimum stays. The main risk is fog delaying your return to IGI, so we choose a flight that lands in daylight.
How expensive is Goa at New Year?
It is the costliest week of the year. Room rates can be two to three times early-December levels, most resorts add a compulsory gala dinner of roughly ₹5,000 to 15,000 per adult, and many require three to five nights. Flights also peak at ₹18,000 to 30,000 return. Booking in September or October gives sensible choices.
Is North or South Goa better for a family?
For young children or grandparents, South Goa around Benaulim, Varca and Cavelossim is calmer, with large resorts and wide beaches. Families who want restaurants and activity within walking distance prefer Candolim in the north. On a four- or five-night trip many families split the stay between both, moving on the Old Goa sightseeing day.
Will we find Punjabi and North Indian food?
Easily in North Goa, where Calangute, Candolim and Baga have many Punjabi and North Indian restaurants. In South Goa you rely more on the resort kitchen, so a half-board plan helps. Vegetarian Goan thalis are served in Panaji and Margao, and Jain meals are possible at larger resorts with notice, confirmed in writing.
How many days are ideal from Delhi?
Four to six nights. The flight and transfers take most of a day each way, so a two-night weekend feels rushed. Four nights covers North and South Goa, five adds Dudhsagar and a free day, and six suits senior travellers and families on the January break.
