Goa Tour Packages from Hyderabad
Seventy-five minutes from Shamshabad to the Konkan coast – Goa planned around which of its two airports suits your beach, Telangana's school breaks and a family that will want biryani by day three.
From Hyderabad, Goa is the easiest sea holiday there is. Rajiv Gandhi International Airport has non-stop flights to both of Goa's airports, the flight is shorter than the drive from Gachibowli to Shamshabad on a bad evening, and a three-night trip fits comfortably into a Sankranti or Dasara break. For a city that sits far from any coast, that matters: you can leave after a morning at work on Friday and be watching the sun set over Candolim or Agonda the same evening.
What most "Goa from Hyderabad" offers skip is the choice that decides how much of your holiday is spent in a taxi – which airport to fly into. This page covers that first, then what a Goa package costs from Hyderabad by hotel class, the train and road options for those who prefer them, three day-wise plans built around RGIA flight timings, how Goa fits the Telangana holiday calendar, a month-by-month table and honest food and money tips. Every trip is planned by our team in Ahmedabad and booked on WhatsApp or phone; all prices on the packages shown here are live.

Goa package prices for Hyderabad travellers (2026)
Our Goa packages start at ₹5,999 per person, and 24 of them are bookable today. The ranges below are indicative, per person on twin sharing, without the Hyderabad–Goa airfare. They include hotel nights with breakfast, airport pick-up and drop at whichever Goa airport you use, and one full day each of North and South Goa sightseeing in a private AC car.
| Length and area | Standard (3-star) | Deluxe (4-star / beach resort) | Premium (5-star beachfront) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 nights – North Goa (Calangute, Baga, Candolim) | ₹7,500 – 10,500 | ₹12,000 – 17,000 | ₹22,000 – 36,000 |
| 4 nights – split North and South | ₹10,000 – 14,000 | ₹16,000 – 23,000 | ₹30,000 – 48,000 |
| 5 nights – South Goa resort stay with Palolem | ₹12,500 – 17,500 | ₹20,000 – 29,000 | ₹38,000 – 62,000 |
| 6 nights – Goa with Dandeli or Gokarna | ₹15,500 – 21,500 | ₹24,000 – 34,000 | ₹44,000 – 70,000 |
Hyderabad–Goa airfare: a return ticket typically costs ₹6,000 – 12,000 per person when booked four to five weeks ahead on a weekday. Fares for the Christmas–New Year week, Sankranti weekend and the start of the Dasara holidays can reach ₹15,000 – 25,000. We book the flights with the package so that the airport, hotel and pick-up all match.
Paid locally: water sports at Calangute or Baga (packs of parasailing, banana ride and jet ski usually ₹1,200 – 2,500 per person), the Grand Island boat trip with snorkelling (₹1,500 – 2,500), dolphin cruises, Dudhsagar jeep safari in season (about ₹600 – 800 per seat plus forest charges), casino entry on the Mandovi, scooter hire, meals and tips.
What makes Goa expensive or cheap: the calendar more than anything. A Deluxe resort that costs ₹6,000 a night in late September can ask ₹18,000 between 24 December and 1 January. Weekend nights cost more than weekdays all year. If you have flexibility, a Sunday-to-Thursday stay in late November or February is the best Goa value we see.
Hyderabad to Goa: Mopa or Dabolim, train or the long drive
Flights from Rajiv Gandhi International (HYD)
As of October 2026, non-stop flights from Hyderabad serve both Goa airports, mainly on IndiGo and the Air India group, with several departures a day between them. Flying time is about 1 hour 10 to 1 hour 20 minutes.
| Airport | Best for | Drive to |
|---|---|---|
| Mopa – Manohar International (GOX), in Pernem, far north | Morjim, Ashwem, Mandrem, Arambol, Anjuna, Vagator | Calangute about 1 hour; Panaji about 1 hour; Palolem 2½–3 hours |
| Dabolim (GOI), near Vasco, central-south | Bogmalo, Colva, Benaulim, Varca, Cavelossim, Old Goa | Panaji about 45 minutes; Calangute about 1 hour; Palolem 1½ hours |
Many travellers book the cheapest fare without noticing the airport and then pay for it in taxi time. If your resort is in South Goa, a Mopa arrival means a three-hour drive; if you are heading to Arambol, a Dabolim arrival does the same in reverse. We match the airport to the hotel when we quote, and for a split North–South trip we often fly you into one and out of the other.
Timing tip: morning flights from RGIA let you check in after lunch and have the evening on the beach. Late-evening departures are cheaper but cost you the first day.
By train from Secunderabad or Kacheguda
- Hyderabad–Vasco da Gama Express (17021/17022): a weekly service of about 20–21 hours via Kurnool, Guntakal, Hubballi and Londa, with Goa stops at Madgaon and Vasco.
- Secunderabad–Vasco bi-weekly express: introduced in 2024, leaving Secunderabad in the morning and reaching Madgaon and Vasco around dawn the next day, about 19–20 hours.
- Why take the train: the descent through the Braganza Ghat past Castle Rock and Kulem runs close to Dudhsagar Falls, which is at its best in and just after the monsoon. Families with time and a big group sometimes take the train one way and fly back. Days and timings change, so we confirm the current schedule when booking.
By road
| Stretch from Hyderabad | Approx. distance | Approx. drive time |
|---|---|---|
| Mahbubnagar | 100 km | 2 h |
| Raichur | 220 km | 4 h |
| Hubballi – Dharwad | 470–490 km | 8–9 h |
| Belagavi (for the Chorla Ghat into North Goa) | about 560 km | 9½–10½ h |
| Panaji | about 630–680 km depending on route | 11–13 h |
The drive is long for a short break. It makes sense for a group of friends with a week, or as a road trip that stops overnight at Hampi or Hubballi. Ghat roads into Goa (Chorla, Anmod) can be slow or partly restricted in heavy rain, so we plan daylight crossings.

Goa and the Telangana holiday calendar
Telangana's school and office calendar gives Hyderabad families three natural Goa windows and a couple of traps.
- Bathukamma and Dasara holidays (late September to October): Telangana schools usually close for about two weeks. The monsoon is ending, Goa is green, rates are still low and Dudhsagar is full. The catch: some beach shacks reopen only around October, and the sea can stay rough for swimming at the start of the break. A pool resort fixes that.
- Christmas and New Year: Goa's busiest week. Hyderabad flights and North Goa hotels can cost double; book by September or travel just before 20 December.
- Sankranti (mid-January): a long weekend plus school holidays of several days. Weather is at its best and prices dip after New Year, so this is the value window we suggest most often to Hyderabad families.
- Summer vacation (late April to early June): hot and humid in Goa, but quieter beaches and fair hotel deals. Go before the monsoon reaches the coast in early June, when swimming is banned on many beaches.
- Ugadi and Ramzan long weekends: worth checking each year, as they sometimes create a four-day window that suits a 3-night trip.
| Month | Goa weather | Suits Hyderabad travellers for | Price level |
|---|---|---|---|
| January | Dry, 20–32°C | Sankranti family trips | High, easing after the first week |
| February | Dry, pleasant | Couples; Goa Carnival falls in February or early March | Medium-high |
| March | Warming up | Friends' trips, Shigmo festival | Medium |
| April | Hot, humid | Start of Telangana summer vacation | Medium |
| May | Hottest; pre-monsoon showers late | Budget resort holidays | Low-medium |
| June – August | Monsoon; sea closed for swimming | Rain lovers, Dudhsagar by train, quiet resort stays | Lowest |
| September | Rain easing | Value before the festival season | Low |
| October | Mostly dry by late month | Dasara and Bathukamma break | Medium |
| November | Dry, season opens | Diwali, honeymoons | Medium-high |
| December | Dry, cool evenings | Christmas, New Year, music festivals | Highest after 20 December |
Food, money and practical tips for Hyderabad travellers in Goa
Food
- Goan cooking is spicier and sourer than people expect: xacuti, cafreal, vindaloo and recheado masala use kokum, vinegar and dried chilli. Hyderabad travellers who like heat usually enjoy it; ask for less vinegar if the tang is too much.
- Fish thali: the everyday Goan lunch – rice, fish curry, fried kingfish or mackerel, sol kadhi. It is the best-value meal in the state.
- Biryani and Andhra meals: a few Andhra-style restaurants operate in Panaji, Margao and around Calangute, and many North Indian places serve biryani, though not Hyderabadi dum style. Most families give up looking by day two and enjoy the seafood.
- Halal and vegetarian: halal chicken and mutton are available in Panaji, Margao and the tourist belts; ask the restaurant. Pure-veg Udupi and Gujarati restaurants exist in every town, and hotels arrange Jain food on request.
Money and rules
- Scooter hire: about ₹300 – 600 a day; check that the bike has yellow commercial plates and carry your licence. Helmets are enforced.
- Liquor: drinking on beaches and in public places can attract fines in Goa. Telangana and the states in between have their own limits on bringing bottles across the border, so check before packing any.
- Taxis: Goa's tourist taxis are expensive by Hyderabad standards; the state's GoaMiles app and pre-paid counters at both airports help. Our packages include a private car for transfers and sightseeing days.
- Sea safety: swim only between the red-and-yellow flags where lifeguards are posted. The sea is closed for swimming from roughly June to September.
- Packing: light cottons, a hat, sunscreen, a shawl for December evenings, modest clothes for church and temple visits, and an umbrella from June to October.

How much does a Goa tour package from Hyderabad cost?
Our Goa packages currently start at ₹5,999 per person for 2 nights. Most of our Goa packages fall between ₹11,999 and ₹24,999 per person. The final cost depends on the travel month, hotel category, number of travellers and whether flights from {$from} are added. Open any package below to see exactly what is included, or ask us for a quote with flights.
Which Goa airport should I fly to from Hyderabad?
It depends on your hotel. Fly to Mopa (GOX) for North Goa beaches such as Morjim, Anjuna, Vagator and Arambol. Fly to Dabolim (GOI) for South Goa, Colva, Benaulim, Varca or Palolem. For Calangute and Candolim both work. Choosing the wrong one can add two to three hours of taxi time.
How long is the flight from Hyderabad to Goa?
About 1 hour 10 to 1 hour 20 minutes non-stop from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. As of October 2026 there are several non-stop flights a day across Dabolim and Mopa, mainly on IndiGo and the Air India group. Morning departures give you the first evening on the beach.
Is there a direct train from Hyderabad to Goa?
Yes. The weekly Hyderabad–Vasco da Gama Express (17021) takes about 20–21 hours, and a bi-weekly Secunderabad–Vasco express introduced in 2024 takes about 19–20 hours, both stopping at Madgaon. The route passes near Dudhsagar Falls. Schedules change, so we confirm the current days when you book.
Can we drive from Hyderabad to Goa?
Yes. It is about 630–680 km depending on the route, usually via Raichur and Hubballi, then Belagavi and the Chorla Ghat for North Goa or Londa and the Anmod Ghat for the south. Allow 11–13 hours, or break the journey at Hampi or Hubballi. Cross the ghats in daylight, especially in the rains.
Is the Dasara holiday a good time for Goa?
It is good value. The monsoon is ending, rates are low and Dudhsagar is full. Some shacks reopen only in October and the sea may still be rough at the start of the break, so pick a resort with a pool and keep a beach-swim plan for later in the trip.
How many days are enough for Goa from Hyderabad?
Three nights is enough for North Goa beaches, nightlife and one sightseeing day. Four nights lets you split North and South. Five nights or more suits families who want pool time, Dudhsagar and Old Goa without rushing. The short flight means even a long weekend is worthwhile.
Will we find Hyderabadi biryani and halal food in Goa?
Halal chicken and mutton are easy to find in Panaji, Margao and the beach belts if you ask. Biryani is widely served but rarely in the Hyderabadi dum style. A few Andhra-style restaurants operate in the bigger towns. Most Hyderabad visitors end up preferring the Goan fish thali.
Is Goa safe for a family with children?
Yes, if you choose the right area. South Goa beaches such as Benaulim, Varca and Cavelossim are calmer than Baga and Calangute, and many resorts have children's pools. Swim only where lifeguards are posted, and avoid the sea from June to September.
When should we book Goa for Christmas or Sankranti?
Book by September for Christmas and New Year, when flights and North Goa rooms sell out and prices peak. For Sankranti, booking in October or early November is usually enough. Outside these weeks, three to four weeks ahead normally gives a good choice of hotels and fares.
Can a Goa trip be combined with Hampi or Gokarna?
Yes. Gokarna is about 3 hours south of Palolem and pairs well with South Goa. Hampi is about 6–7 hours inland and works as a road-trip stop between Hyderabad and Goa for those driving. We build either into a 5- or 6-night private itinerary with your own car.
Can we bring liquor back from Goa to Hyderabad?
Be careful. Goa sells alcohol cheaply, but Telangana and the states you pass through have their own excise limits on bottles brought across the border, and police check vehicles. If you are flying, airline and state rules both apply. Check the current limits before buying more than a bottle or two.
