Bengaluru to Dubai is a four-hour flight, a little longer than from Mumbai or Ahmedabad, and the clock moves back 1½ hours when you land. As of November 2026 there are about five non-stop departures a day from Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) to Dubai International: three by Emirates, one by IndiGo and one by Air India Express. Abu Dhabi and Sharjah have their own non-stops too. With that choice, the questions Bengaluru travellers ask us are rarely about how to get there. They are about how much leave a Dubai trip needs, which departure keeps the first day usable, whether to come home through Abu Dhabi, and where a family that eats idli and curd rice will find breakfast.

This page answers those for travellers from Bengaluru and nearby towns such as Mysuru, Tumakuru and Hosur. It covers per-person costs by hotel class, each KIA flight slot and what it does to your plan, the UAE visa as of November 2026, three itineraries matched to real departure times, a 2026–27 calendar built on Karnataka school holidays and Bengaluru long weekends, and food notes for South Indian vegetarians. Your trip is planned by our team in Ahmedabad and booked on WhatsApp or phone; we have no Bengaluru office, and every trip is private – your dates, your own car and driver.

What a Dubai trip from Bangalore costs (2026–27 season)

Our 24 Dubai packages start at ₹17,500 per person today. The bands below are per person for two adults sharing a room and do not include the air ticket from Bengaluru. They cover the hotel with breakfast, private airport transfers both ways, the 30-day UAE tourist e-visa, a half-day guided city tour, an afternoon desert safari with barbecue dinner, a Marina or Creek dhow dinner cruise and a standard-hour Burj Khalifa ticket to levels 124–125.

Return flights from Bengaluru: an economy return to Dubai usually costs about ₹20,000 – 32,000 per person when booked four to eight weeks ahead. The Christmas–New Year fortnight, the Dasara break and the Dubai Shopping Festival weekends can push that to ₹35,000 – 50,000. Emirates fares are often only a few thousand rupees more than the low-cost options once you add checked baggage and a meal to the cheaper ticket, so we compare the total, not the headline fare.

Not in the bands above: a prime-time or level-148 Burj Khalifa slot, theme parks on Yas Island or at Dubai Parks (roughly ₹7,500 – 10,000 per adult each), quad biking at the desert camp, lunches and dinners not named in the plan, and the hotel's refundable card deposit at check-in. Whether your hotel collects the Tourism Dirham fee is shown on the quote. If your trip is costed against a tight budget, our line-by-line Dubai trip cost guide shows every item separately.

Flights from KIA: the five daily slots and the Abu Dhabi option

Timings below are the published schedule as of November 2026, rounded. Airlines retime flights each season, so we confirm the flight number and time on your quote rather than promise a slot in advance.

Getting to KIA

All international flights from Bengaluru use Terminal 2 at Devanahalli. Allow 45 minutes to an hour from Hebbal or Yelahanka, 1½ – 2 hours from Whitefield, Koramangala or HSR Layout, and more than two hours from Electronic City or Sarjapur Road at peak hours. For the 4.30 am Emirates departure that means leaving south Bengaluru around 1 am. The KIA airport bus (Vayu Vajra) runs through the night from major points if you prefer not to book a cab. From Mysuru the drive takes four to five hours; we usually suggest the 10.25 am flight and an early start rather than a night near the airport.

Abu Dhabi and Sharjah

  • Abu Dhabi (AUH): non-stops from KIA by Etihad, IndiGo and Air India Express, also about four hours. The useful trick is an open-jaw ticket: fly into Dubai and home from Abu Dhabi, or the other way round, so you never drive the 1½ hours between the two cities twice. It often costs about the same as a Dubai return.
  • Sharjah (SHJ): Air Arabia flies non-stop from Bengaluru. Fares can be lower, but Sharjah airport is 30 – 60 minutes from Dubai hotels depending on traffic, and the low-cost fare may not include checked bags. It works for a Deira or Al Nahda stay; less so for the Marina.

Baggage: Emirates economy usually includes a generous checked allowance; IndiGo and Air India Express fares vary by fare type, and some include only cabin baggage. If you plan to shop at the Shopping Festival or bring back dates and chocolates for the office, add checked kilos when booking, not at the airport.

UAE visa for Bengaluru travellers (as of November 2026)

Indian passport holders need a UAE visa before boarding, unless they qualify for visa on arrival. We prepare and submit the application through a licensed UAE sponsor; the decision rests with UAE immigration, so no agent can guarantee approval.

  • Type and cost: the usual choice is the 30-day single-entry tourist e-visa. Including the government fee, the sponsor's charge and the mandatory insurance, most travellers pay about ₹7,000 – 9,000, and it is already inside the package prices above.
  • What we need on WhatsApp: clear colour scans of the passport's first and last pages (valid at least six months beyond your return), a recent photo on a white background, and a PAN card copy. Freelancers and consultants are occasionally asked for an extra document such as a bank statement; we tell you in advance if your profile is likely to need it.
  • Timing: three to five working days is normal. For Christmas, New Year and Shopping Festival dates, send documents at least three weeks before departure.
  • Visa on arrival: Indians holding a valid US visa or green card, or an EU visa or residence permit, have been able to get a visa on arrival, as have residents of the UK, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. In mid-2026 the UAE announced changes to some of these categories, starting with UK residence-only holders, and gave no firm date. Many Bengaluru tech professionals hold US B1/B2 visas; we check your passport and visa against the rule in force that week before you rely on it.

Refusal reasons, visa types and fees in detail are on our Dubai visa guide for Indians.

Three Dubai itineraries timed for Bengaluru departures

3 nights / 4 days – Friday-night departure, one day of leave

Built on the 8.20 pm Emirates flight: finish work, be at KIA by 5.30 pm, land in Dubai around 11 pm.

  • Friday night: Private transfer to a Business Bay or Downtown hotel booked from that date, so you sleep in a bed and not a lounge.
  • Saturday: Late breakfast; Al Fahidi, an abra across the Creek and the spice and gold souks. Burj Khalifa at a standard-hour evening slot, the Fountain show and dinner in Dubai Mall.
  • Sunday: Morning at leisure or Dubai Frame; desert safari from about 3 pm with dune drive, camel ride and a vegetarian barbecue counter.
  • Monday: Palm Jumeirah and the Marina walk in the morning, then an afternoon or evening flight home that lands in Bengaluru late at night. Monday is your one day of leave.

4 nights / 5 days – family with school-age children, morning flight

  • Day 1: IndiGo around 8 am or Emirates around 10.25 am from KIA. Check in at a 4-star in Al Barsha near Mall of the Emirates; Ski Dubai or the indoor play areas in the evening.
  • Day 2: Guided city tour, Dubai Frame, Dubai Aquarium, and the Fountain at night.
  • Day 3: Private day trip to Abu Dhabi – Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the BAPS Hindu Mandir (closed on Mondays) and Ferrari World or Warner Bros. World on Yas Island.
  • Day 4: Lazy morning by the pool; desert safari in the afternoon; Global Village after dark if the children still have energy.
  • Day 5: Miracle Garden or a beach morning at Kite Beach, then an afternoon flight home.

5 nights / 6 days – into Dubai, home from Abu Dhabi (couples and parents)

  • Day 1: Emirates around 10.25 am; land at 1 pm; hotel in Downtown; evening dhow dinner cruise on the Marina.
  • Day 2: Old Dubai, the souks and the Hindu temple at Jebel Ali for those who want darshan; Burj Khalifa at sunset if you upgrade the slot.
  • Day 3: Desert safari, or a gentler desert dinner without dune bashing for parents.
  • Day 4: Drive to Abu Dhabi with a long stop at the BAPS Mandir; check in on Saadiyat or the Corniche.
  • Day 5: Grand Mosque in the cool morning, Louvre Abu Dhabi or Qasr Al Watan in the afternoon.
  • Day 6: Etihad or IndiGo from Abu Dhabi to Bengaluru; no backtracking to Dubai.

Larger families and friend circles travel as a private group on their own dates, with a private coach, and with rooms split so that older members get a quieter floor.

Leave, long weekends and the Karnataka school calendar

Most Bengaluru enquiries come from people who are juggling sprint deadlines, a manager's leave calendar or school terms – often all three. These are the windows that work in the 2026–27 season.

  • Christmas and New Year: 25 December 2026 and 1 January 2027 are both Fridays. Two back-to-back three-day weekends, and many tech companies run a shutdown week in between. Dubai is in its best weather (18 – 26°C) and the Shopping Festival is on, so hotels and flights are at their highest; book by early November.
  • Dubai Shopping Festival: the 32nd edition runs from 4 December 2026 to 17 January 2027. If you want the sales without the year-end prices, the second week of January is the sweet spot – after New Year, before the festival closes.
  • Sankranti and Republic Day: Sankranti in mid-January and Republic Day (Tuesday, 26 January 2027) give two short breaks. Taking Monday 25 January off turns Republic Day into a four-day weekend.
  • Karnataka summer vacation: state-syllabus schools close after the annual exams in April and reopen at the end of May (the 2026–27 session opened on 29 May 2026). Dubai is 30 – 40°C in May, so a summer trip should lean on indoor parks, malls, Ski Dubai and evening outings.
  • Dasara break: Karnataka schools were closed from 3 to 21 October in 2026. The 2027 break should fall in a similar window, which lines up with Global Village and Miracle Garden reopening and evenings cool enough for the desert. Book Dasara 2027 by July.
  • CBSE, ICSE and IB schools in Bengaluru have shorter autumn breaks but longer winter holidays, which is why the last ten days of December fill first.

One Bengaluru-specific point: the city's mild climate means travellers feel Dubai's heat more than visitors from Ahmedabad or Hyderabad do. Outside November to March we move outdoor sights to the early morning and after sunset.

South Indian vegetarian food and other tips for Bengaluru families

Finding a familiar breakfast

  • Karama and Bur Dubai: Dubai's large South Indian population means idli, vada, masala dosa, pongal, filter coffee and full banana-leaf style meals are easy to find in Karama and around Bur Dubai, at vegetarian restaurants run by Tamil, Kerala and Udupi-style kitchens. A hotel in Bur Dubai or Karama keeps these within walking distance; from the Marina it is a 25 – 35 minute taxi ride.
  • Hotel breakfasts: 4- and 5-star buffets in Dubai almost always include an Indian counter, but it leans North Indian – poha, upma or parathas rather than dosa. If curd rice or a proper sambar matters to a parent, we ask the hotel in advance and print the request on the voucher.
  • Jain and satvik: several Gujarati and Rajasthani pure-veg restaurants in Bur Dubai cook without onion and garlic. Desert camps and dinner cruises serve a vegetarian counter; a strict no-onion meal needs a day's notice and is confirmed only by the operator.
  • Kannadiga and Kerala snacks: you will not find Bengaluru's darshini culture exactly, but Kerala-style tea shops for banana chips, pazham pori and tea are everywhere in Karama. Packed MTR-style ready meals and chutney powders are fine in checked baggage.
  • Non-vegetarians: all meat in the UAE is halal. Kerala and Mangalorean seafood restaurants in Karama and Deira are worth one dinner.

Before you leave Bengaluru

  • Clothes: pack layers. Bengaluru's December evenings and Dubai's December nights in the desert are both cooler than people expect; a light jacket helps. Shoulders and knees covered for the Grand Mosque – women need a headscarf there.
  • Money: carry a forex card for most spending and AED 300 – 500 in cash per family for taxis and souks. UPI works at a growing number of Dubai shops through linked apps, but do not depend on it.
  • Medicines: carry prescriptions for any regular medicines in their original packing. Some common Indian painkillers and cough syrups are controlled in the UAE.
  • Work laptops: if you plan to log in on the trip, check your company's policy on access from outside India before you go; some Bengaluru firms block it.
  • Gold: compare the Gold Souk rate with the day's rate at home; making charges differ more than the gold price. Check current Indian customs duty-free limits before buying.

Dubai tour from Bangalore: FAQs

How much does a Dubai tour package from Bangalore cost?

Our Dubai packages currently start at ₹17,500 per person for 2 nights. Most of our Dubai packages fall between ₹35,500 and ₹71,500 per person. The final cost depends on the travel month, hotel category, number of travellers and whether flights from Bangalore are added. Open any package below to see exactly what is included, or ask us for a quote with flights.

How long is the flight from Bangalore to Dubai?

About four hours non-stop, a little more on the way back. Dubai is 1½ hours behind India, so an Emirates flight leaving Kempegowda International at about 10.25 am lands around 1 pm Dubai time. Add the drive to KIA, which can take two hours from Electronic City or Sarjapur Road, when planning the day.

Which airlines fly non-stop from Bangalore to Dubai?

As of November 2026, Emirates (three flights a day), IndiGo and Air India Express fly non-stop from KIA to Dubai International, about five departures daily in total. Etihad, IndiGo and Air India Express fly to Abu Dhabi, and Air Arabia flies to Sharjah. We compare fares including baggage before recommending one.

Which Bangalore–Dubai flight is best for a family?

The Emirates departure around 10.25 am or the IndiGo flight around 8 am usually suits families best. Nobody has to leave home at midnight, you land by early afternoon, and rooms are ready soon after. The 4.30 am and late-night departures give more time on the ground but are tiring for children and grandparents.

Can I do Dubai from Bangalore with only one day of leave?

Yes. Take the evening Emirates flight on Friday after work, land around 11 pm, spend Saturday and Sunday on the city, safari and Burj Khalifa, and fly home on Monday. Christmas Day and New Year's Day 2026–27 are both Fridays, so those weekends need even less leave.

Is it better to fly into Abu Dhabi from Bangalore?

For a trip of five nights or more with time in both cities, yes. Fly into Dubai and home from Abu Dhabi, or the reverse, so you drive between the two only once. Etihad, IndiGo and Air India Express fly Abu Dhabi to Bengaluru non-stop, and the open-jaw fare is often close to a Dubai return.

Do I need a visa for Dubai from Bangalore?

Yes, Indian passport holders need a UAE visa before boarding, usually the 30-day tourist e-visa, which costs about ₹7,000 – 9,000 all in as of November 2026. Holders of a valid US visa or green card, or an EU visa or residence permit, may qualify for visa on arrival. We prepare and submit applications; approval rests with UAE immigration.

Where can South Indian vegetarians eat in Dubai?

Karama and Bur Dubai have many vegetarian restaurants serving idli, dosa, pongal, filter coffee and full South Indian meals, run by Tamil, Kerala and Udupi-style kitchens. Hotel buffets usually have an Indian counter, but it tends to be North Indian. Staying in Bur Dubai or Karama keeps the familiar food within walking distance.

When should Bangalore families go to Dubai?

November to March has the best weather, with daytime temperatures of roughly 18 – 30°C. The Karnataka Dasara break in October also works, as Global Village and Miracle Garden reopen then. The April–May summer vacation is possible but hot, so the plan should focus on indoor attractions and evening outings.

When is the Dubai Shopping Festival in 2026–27?

The 32nd Dubai Shopping Festival runs from 4 December 2026 to 17 January 2027, with mall sales, raffles and nightly events. It overlaps Christmas and New Year, when fares from Bengaluru are at their highest. The second week of January gives you the festival with lower hotel and flight prices.

How far is Kempegowda airport from the city for a Dubai flight?

About 45 minutes to an hour from Hebbal or Yelahanka, 1½ to 2 hours from Whitefield, Koramangala or HSR Layout, and over two hours from Electronic City at peak times. International flights use Terminal 2. Reach the airport three hours before departure; the Vayu Vajra airport bus runs through the night.

Do you have an office in Bangalore?

No. Our team works from C G Road in Ahmedabad and plans Bengaluru trips on WhatsApp and phone, Monday to Saturday. You receive a written itinerary with hotel names, send visa documents on WhatsApp, pay online against an invoice, and get tickets, vouchers and the e-visa as PDFs before you fly.
