Dubai Tour Packages from Kolkata
Two non-stops a day from Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose airport, about five hours west – Dubai planned for Kolkata families around Puja, the Christmas break and Poila Baisakh.
Kolkata is one of the farther Indian metros from Dubai, and that shapes the trip more than people expect. The non-stop from Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport (CCU) takes about five hours, against three from Mumbai or Ahmedabad, and there are fewer of them: as of November 2026 the only non-stop airlines are Emirates, twice a day, and flydubai, about four nights a week. IndiGo and Air India Express sell tickets on the route too, but through a stop in another Indian city. So the first decision for a Kolkata family is which of the few departures to take, and the second is what that hour of arrival does to day one in Dubai, which is 1½ hours behind India.
This page is written for travellers from Kolkata, Howrah, Salt Lake and New Town, and for families from Durgapur, Asansol or Siliguri who fly out of Dum Dum. It covers what a Dubai package costs, the CCU timings and how each one shapes your plan, the UAE visa as of November 2026, three itineraries, the Puja, Christmas and summer windows, and where Bengali food, fish and mishti are found in Dubai. Every trip is private and planned by our team in Ahmedabad, booked on WhatsApp or phone. We have no Kolkata office.

Airfare from Kolkata: because fewer airlines fly non-stop, fares from CCU run higher than from western India. As of November 2026 a return economy ticket usually costs about ₹25,000 – 40,000 per person when booked six to eight weeks ahead; in the Puja fortnight, Christmas week and the first days of January expect ₹40,000 – 60,000. One-stop fares via Delhi, Mumbai or Hyderabad are sometimes cheaper but add four to eight hours.
Not in the bands: sunset or level-148 Burj Khalifa slots, theme-park tickets, quad biking in the desert, lunches and dinners outside the plan, the Tourism Dirham fee where a hotel charges it separately, and the refundable deposit hotels block on your card. The Dubai trip cost guide breaks every line down in rupees.
Flying from Kolkata to Dubai: the three departure slots
Flight timings below are as of November 2026, from published schedules. They shift each season, so treat them as "about"; we confirm the exact flight when we quote.
| Slot | Airline | Lands in Dubai (local) | What day one looks like |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small hours, about 1.30 – 2.30 am | flydubai, about four days a week | About 5 – 6.30 am | You arrive tired before hotel check-in; we book the room from the previous night or keep the morning free |
| Morning to midday | Emirates, daily | Early to mid-afternoon | Hotel by late afternoon, the Dubai Fountain or a dhow cruise in the evening – easiest for families |
| Evening, about 8.30 pm | Emirates, daily | Close to midnight | Straight to bed; sightseeing from the next morning; good after a working day |
- Flight time: about five hours westbound and a little over four hours coming back, helped by the winds. Emirates flies wide-body aircraft on this route, flydubai a narrow-body Boeing 737.
- The return: Emirates' overnight departure from Dubai lands at CCU around 9 am, which suits people going straight to office; an evening Dubai departure lands in the small hours.
- Getting to Dum Dum: all international flights use the integrated terminal. Allow 20 – 30 minutes from Salt Lake or New Town, 45 – 60 minutes from Park Street or Ballygunge, and over an hour from Howrah or Behala at peak. Reach the airport three hours before departure.
- Baggage: Emirates includes a generous checked allowance; flydubai's lowest fares may not. Price the kilos before choosing, especially if you plan to shop.
- Disruptions: Gulf flights from India had a few days of cancellations in March 2026 because of the conflict in West Asia; as of November 2026 the CCU services operate to schedule. Travel insurance with delay cover is worth adding.
UAE visa for Kolkata travellers (as of November 2026)
An Indian passport alone does not get you into the UAE; the visa is arranged before the flight. For a holiday, nearly everyone uses the 30-day single-entry tourist e-visa, which arrives by email as a PDF and needs no visit to any consulate.
- Fee: the UAE's own charge is roughly AED 265 with VAT. Once the sponsor's processing and the mandatory insurance are added, the usual all-in figure is about ₹7,000 – 9,000 a head, and our package bands already contain it.
- Papers we ask for: a clear colour copy of the passport's photo page and address page, with at least six months' validity left; a recent photo against a plain white wall; and a PAN card copy. A few profiles, such as a new business or a very recent passport, may be asked for bank statements, and we warn you in advance.
- How long it takes: usually three to five working days. Before the Puja fortnight and Christmas, when Kolkata applications pile up, we start four weeks before departure.
- On-arrival option: Indians already holding a valid US visa or green card, a Schengen visa or EU residence, or residence in certain other listed countries can usually take a visa at Dubai airport, at a reported fee of about AED 350. Whether a UK visa on its own still counts has been reported differently in 2026, so we confirm before relying on it.
We file the application through a licensed UAE sponsor; the decision on every visa is the UAE authorities'. For the full list of visa types, fees and common refusal reasons, read our Dubai visa guide for Indians.

Puja, Christmas and Poila Baisakh: the Kolkata travel calendar
Kolkata's holidays fall at good times for Dubai, with one exception: the summer break is in Dubai's hottest weeks.
- Durga Puja 2027: Saptami falls on 6 October and Bijoya Dashami on 10 October 2027. Many Kolkata families stay for the pandals and fly out after Dashami, using the gap before Kali Puja and Diwali on 29 October. Dubai is 27 – 35°C then, warm but bearable, and Global Village has just reopened. Puja fares from CCU rise early; book by July.
- Durga Puja in Dubai: Bengali associations in the UAE hold Puja celebrations most years. Venues and dates change, but if you travel during Puja we can find out where the nearest one is.
- Christmas and winter break: most West Bengal schools break for Christmas and New Year, which falls inside the Dubai Shopping Festival, 4 December 2026 to 17 January 2027, and Dubai's best weather, 18 – 26°C. Hotels are at their highest after about 20 December.
- Poila Baisakh: the Bengali New Year falls in mid-April. Dubai is 26 – 34°C, the festival crowds have gone, and hotel rates have started to fall. Many businesses in Burrabazar and Bowbazar close their old ledgers then, which makes it a popular time for traders' family trips.
- Summer vacation: West Bengal government schools usually close for several weeks from early May, though dates have changed in recent heatwave years. Dubai is 38 – 42°C and humid; it works with indoor plans – Ski Dubai, aquariums, water parks – and the lowest five-star rates of the year.
- Ramadan 2027: likely to begin around 8 February and end with Eid in about the second week of March. Attractions keep running; by day, eat and drink inside your hotel or in screened restaurants, and expect livelier evenings after iftar.
| Month | Dubai | At home in Bengal | Prices |
|---|---|---|---|
| November | 23 – 31°C, clear | After Kali Puja and Bhai Phonta; quiet weeks | Medium |
| December | 18 – 26°C; Shopping Festival from 4 Dec | Christmas break; Park Street lights at home | Highest after 20 December |
| January | 18 – 25°C; festival to 17 Jan | New Year week; the Book Fair late in the month | High |
| February | 19 – 26°C; Ramadan from mid-month | Saraswati Puja; school exams begin | High, softer in Ramadan |
| March | 22 – 30°C; Eid holidays | Dol Jatra; board exams | Medium; Eid week high |
| April | 26 – 34°C | Poila Baisakh in mid-April | Medium |
| May – June | 32 – 42°C | Summer vacation; sticky humidity at home too | Hotels low, flights high |
| July – September | 35 – 43°C, humid | Monsoon; Mahalaya in late September some years | Lowest |
| October | 27 – 35°C; Global Village reopens | Durga Puja and Lakshmi Puja | High in Puja weeks |
Bengali food, fish and shopping tips in Dubai
Eating like home
- Bengali meals: Karama, Bur Dubai and Deira have restaurants serving rice with macher jhol, kosha mangsho, shukto and dal. Many are run by cooks from West Bengal or Bangladesh, so the taste is close to home. Hilsa appears in season but is imported and priced accordingly.
- Fish lovers: the Deira waterfront fish market lets you pick fresh hammour or prawns and have them cooked at the stalls next door; ask for less oil and more mustard if they have it.
- Mishti: a few sweet shops in Karama and Bur Dubai sell rosogolla and sandesh; they will not match your para sweet shop, but they help a homesick grandparent.
- Vegetarians: Bur Dubai's thali restaurants are fully vegetarian, and both the desert camp and the dhow cruise keep a vegetarian counter. All meat in the UAE is halal.
- Breakfast: hotel buffets have little that resembles luchi or kochuri; Karama's Indian cafés serve puri-sabzi in the mornings.
Shopping sense
- Gold: compare the Gold Souk rate with a Bowbazar quote on the same morning. Shops quote the daily gold rate by weight and add making; bargain on the making; ask for purity on the invoice.
- Customs at CCU: duty-free allowances for a short holiday are lower than many people assume. Check the current limit before buying jewellery or electronics, and use the red channel for anything above it.
- Electronics and perfume: airport duty-free and the big malls price close to each other during the Shopping Festival; check the Indian warranty position before buying a phone or laptop.
- Weather gear: a light jacket for December evenings in the desert, sunglasses and a cap all year.

How much does a Dubai tour package from Kolkata cost?
Our Dubai packages currently start at ₹17,500 per person for 2 nights. Most of our Dubai packages fall between ₹35,500 and ₹71,500 per person. The final cost depends on the travel month, hotel category, number of travellers and whether flights from Kolkata are added. Open any package below to see exactly what is included, or ask us for a quote with flights.
Which airlines fly non-stop from Kolkata to Dubai?
As of November 2026, Emirates flies non-stop from CCU to Dubai twice a day and flydubai about four days a week, around 15 flights a week in all. IndiGo and Air India Express sell tickets on the route, but these connect through another Indian city. We compare fares including baggage before recommending one.
How long is the flight from Kolkata to Dubai?
Roughly five hours going west and just over four coming home, on the Emirates and flydubai non-stops. Set your watch back by 1½ hours on landing: a flight that leaves CCU at 9.30 am reaches Dubai at about 1 pm local time. Leave three hours at the airport for international check-in.
Which Kolkata–Dubai flight timing is best for families?
The morning Emirates departure. It lands in the afternoon, you reach the hotel by check-in time, and the first evening can include the Dubai Fountain or a dhow cruise. The flydubai departure after midnight is cheaper but tiring for children, and the evening Emirates flight lands close to midnight.
How much is a Kolkata to Dubai return flight?
As of November 2026, a return economy ticket usually costs about ₹25,000 to ₹40,000 per person when booked six to eight weeks ahead. In the Puja weeks, Christmas and early January expect ₹40,000 to ₹60,000. One-stop fares through Delhi, Mumbai or Hyderabad are sometimes lower but add several hours.
Is Dubai a good trip for the Durga Puja holidays?
Yes, especially after Dashami. In October Dubai is 27 to 35°C, Global Village has reopened and hotels are cheaper than in December. Fares rise sharply in Puja weeks, so book by July. Bengali associations in the UAE usually hold Puja celebrations if you travel during the festival itself.
Can we find Bengali food and fish in Dubai?
Yes. Karama, Bur Dubai and Deira have restaurants serving macher jhol, kosha mangsho and rice, many run by cooks from Bengal or Bangladesh. Hilsa is available in season at a price. At the Deira fish market you can buy fresh fish and have it cooked at the stalls next door.
Do Kolkata residents need a visa for Dubai?
Yes. As of November 2026 an Indian passport needs a UAE visa arranged before departure, normally the 30-day tourist e-visa at about ₹7,000 to ₹9,000 per person including the sponsor charge. Those with a valid US, Schengen or EU residence document may qualify on arrival. We file it for you; the UAE authorities decide.
When is the Dubai Shopping Festival in 2026–27?
The 32nd edition is scheduled from 4 December 2026 to 17 January 2027, with mall sales, raffles and nightly fireworks. For Kolkata families it lines up with the Christmas school break, so the last ten days of December cost the most. Travelling in the first half of December gives the same sales for less.
Is Dubai too hot in the West Bengal summer vacation?
From May the city runs at around 38 to 42°C with sea humidity, so a summer trip has to live indoors by day: Ski Dubai, the aquariums, water parks and malls, with the desert after 4 pm. In return, five-star rooms cost the least all year, although airfares in vacation weeks do not fall.
Is gold cheaper in Dubai than in Kolkata?
Usually by a small margin, since UAE taxes are lower, but the making charge and Indian customs duty decide whether you save. Get a Bowbazar quote and a Gold Souk quote for the same piece on the same day, take a bill that states the carat, and read the current duty-free limit before paying.
Do you have an office in Kolkata?
No. Kolkata trips are planned by our team on C G Road, Ahmedabad, over WhatsApp, phone or video call, Monday to Saturday. The quote names every hotel and its price; visa papers go over WhatsApp; payment is online against an invoice; and the e-visa, tickets and vouchers reach you as PDFs before you fly.
