Thailand Tour Packages from Mumbai
Leave Sahar after midnight, breakfast in Bangkok – or fly straight to Phuket or Krabi. Private Thailand trips for Mumbai couples, families and friends, planned around T2 departure slots and the Maharashtra calendar.
Mumbai has more non-stop flights to Thailand than almost any other Indian city. As of November 2026, about 55 flights a week leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport for Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi on IndiGo, Air India, Thai Airways and Thai Vietjet; Thai Lion Air flies nightly to Bangkok's older Don Mueang airport; and Phuket and Krabi have their own non-stops. That choice changes how a Mumbai traveller should plan. You can leave Sahar after midnight on a Thursday, have breakfast in Bangkok and be back at your desk on Monday; you can fly into Krabi and home from Phuket without seeing Bangkok at all; and you can pick a midday departure if you are travelling with parents who should not be at an airport at 2 am.
This page is for travellers from Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai and the Vasai–Virar belt. It covers indicative costs, what each T2 departure slot means for your first day, the entry rules for Indians as of November 2026 including the Thailand Digital Arrival Card, three itineraries built on real Mumbai flight times, the school and festival calendar for 2026–27, and food notes for Gujarati, Marwari, Jain and Maharashtrian families. Your trip is planned by our team in Ahmedabad and booked on WhatsApp or phone; we have no Mumbai office. Every trip is private – your own dates and your own transfers.

Thailand package cost from Mumbai, per person
24 Thailand packages are on sale today, starting at ₹13,000 per person. The bands below are indicative, per person for two adults in one room, and exclude the air ticket from Mumbai. They include hotels with breakfast, private airport and intercity transfers, and the core outing at each stop: a Bangkok temple tour, Coral Island by speedboat from Pattaya, Phi Phi from Phuket and the 4-Island long-tail tour from Krabi.
| Route | Standard (3-star) | Deluxe (4-star / pool access) | Premium (5-star / pool villa) |

Air tickets from Mumbai: because several Indian and Thai airlines compete, an economy return to Bangkok is often about ₹16,000 – 28,000 per person when booked six to eight weeks ahead, and Mumbai–Phuket or Mumbai–Krabi returns run about ₹18,000 – 32,000. Christmas–New Year and Diwali weeks push fares to ₹30,000 – 45,000. The 7-night route adds a Bangkok–Phuket domestic flight of about ₹3,500 – 7,000.
Paid on the ground or quoted separately: national park fees for Phi Phi and the Krabi islands (cash, collected at the pier), Safari World, the Alcazar or Tiffany show, a Chao Phraya dinner cruise, Phuket FantaSea, spa treatments and meals other than breakfast. We price each one on your quote so that the "optional tour" desk at the hotel holds no surprises. For a full cost build-up, see our Thailand trip cost guide.
Flights from Mumbai: T2 slots, Don Mueang and the islands
Schedules below are as of November 2026, with times rounded. Airlines change timings every season, so we confirm the exact flight on your quote.
Mumbai to Bangkok: four kinds of departure
| Leave T2 (IST) | Land Bangkok (local) | Examples | What it means |
|---|---|---|---|
| 12.40 am – 1 am | 6.30 am – 7 am | IndiGo, Thai Vietjet to Suvarnabhumi; Thai Lion Air to Don Mueang | Cheapest seats; you lose a night's sleep. Book the hotel from the previous night or plan a slow first morning. |
| 2.40 am – 4.40 am | 8.40 am – 10.40 am | Thai Airways, IndiGo | Popular with couples and friends; still a night at the airport rather than in bed. |
| Around 7.20 am | Around 1.35 pm | Air India | Best for families and seniors – a normal morning, and rooms are ready when you arrive. |
| 1 pm – 1.30 pm, or about 11.35 pm | About 7.15 pm, or 5.30 am | IndiGo, Air India; Thai Airways late night | Afternoon flights suit a half-day at work; the late Thai flight suits a Friday-night start. |
Bangkok is 1½ hours ahead of India, so the flight of about 4¼ – 4½ hours "costs" you six hours on the clock going out and gives back three coming home. Return flights leave Bangkok from early morning to about 10.45 pm, landing in Mumbai between mid-morning and around 1.40 am.
Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang?
Most flights use Suvarnabhumi (BKK), 30 – 45 minutes from Sukhumvit hotels and about 1½ – 2 hours from Pattaya. Thai Lion Air's nightly flight uses Don Mueang (DMK), north of the city, which is closer to Pratunam and Chatuchak but further from Pattaya. If your plan goes straight to Pattaya, BKK is the better landing; for a Pratunam shopping weekend, DMK is fine. We send the driver to the right airport – mix-ups between the two are the most common first-morning problem we see.
Straight to the islands
- Phuket (HKT): non-stops from Mumbai by IndiGo, Akasa Air, SpiceJet and Thai Vietjet, about 4½ – 4¾ hours, roughly four flights a day on average.
- Krabi (KBV): IndiGo has flown Mumbai–Krabi non-stop since 2025. Fly into Krabi, take the ferry or road to Phuket, and fly home from Phuket – an open-jaw that avoids backtracking.
Getting to T2
All Mumbai–Thailand flights currently leave from Terminal 2 at Sahar. For a 12.40 am departure, leave Thane, Borivali or Vashi by about 8.30 pm; from south Mumbai the coastal road helps, but still allow 1¼ hours on a weekday evening. Metro Line 3 reaches T2 from Worli and BKC for daytime flights. Navi Mumbai International Airport is adding international routes in phases; as of November 2026 we have not found a Thailand non-stop from there, and we check again on every quote.
Entry rules for Indians, and filling the TDAC on a red-eye
As of November 2026, Indian tourists with an ordinary passport can enter Thailand without a visa and stay up to 30 days per entry. This 30-day limit has applied since 15 September 2026; before that the visa-free stay was 60 days, so older blog posts are out of date. A Mumbai holiday of five to ten nights is well within the limit. If you need longer, or are travelling on business, read our Thailand visa guide for Indians; we prepare and submit e-visa applications, and approval is at the Thai authorities' discretion.
- Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC): free, filled online on the official immigration website within the 72 hours before you land, one per traveller including children. On a 12.40 am flight, "72 hours before landing" is easy to miscount – fill it on the afternoon before you leave home, not at the gate. Look-alike websites charge a fee for the same form; the official one is free.
- Passport: valid at least six months from the date you arrive in Thailand.
- Carry, on your phone and on paper: the return ticket and hotel bookings for every night. Immigration can ask for them, especially on early-morning arrivals with long queues.
- Funds: official guidance asks visitors to carry at least THB 20,000 per person (or the equivalent) in cash or on a card. Checks are random, but a forex card with balance is the easy way to be ready.
- Banned items: e-cigarettes and vapes are illegal in Thailand, including in checked baggage.
These rules are correct as of November 2026. Thailand has changed its entry rules several times since 2023; we check again before you book and a week before departure.
Three Thailand itineraries built on Mumbai flight times
3 nights – Bangkok weekend on the after-midnight flight
- Thursday night: Leave office, dinner at home, reach T2 by 9.30 pm for the 12.40 am flight.
- Friday: Land at about 7 am. Hotel in Sukhumvit or Pratunam booked from Thursday night so you can check in and sleep till lunch. Evening at Asiatique or a rooftop in Silom.
- Saturday: Grand Palace and Wat Pho in the morning before the heat; Wat Arun at sunset from the river; Chao Phraya dinner cruise.
- Sunday: Chatuchak weekend market or Safari World; Pratunam and Platinum Mall for clothes.
- Monday: The early-morning flight from Bangkok lands in Mumbai around 10.40 am – straight to work if you must, or take the late-night return on Sunday instead.
5 nights – Krabi in, Phuket out (honeymoon)
- Day 1: IndiGo Mumbai–Krabi; pool-access room in Ao Nang; sunset on the beach.
- Day 2: 4-Island tour by long-tail – Phra Nang Cave beach, Chicken and Tup islands at low tide.
- Day 3: Railay for the limestone cliffs, or Hong Island by speedboat with the lagoon kayak.
- Day 4: Ferry to Phuket via Phi Phi, stopping at Maya Bay viewpoint and Pileh Lagoon; check in at Kata or Kamala.
- Day 5: Couple spa, Big Buddha and Karon viewpoint; candle-light dinner.
- Day 6: Free morning; non-stop Phuket–Mumbai.
7 nights – family with grandparents, daytime flights
- Day 1: The 7.20 am Air India flight; land at about 1.35 pm; drive to Pattaya (1½ – 2 hours) so the long road is done on day one.
- Day 2: Coral Island by speedboat; parents can stay on the beach while children do water sports. Alcazar show in the evening.
- Day 3: Nong Nooch Garden; drive to Bangkok.
- Day 4: Safari World and Marine Park; Indian dinner near the hotel.
- Day 5: Morning domestic flight to Phuket; afternoon at the hotel pool.
- Day 6: Phi Phi on a larger catamaran rather than a speedboat – smoother for older travellers.
- Day 7: Old Phuket Town and Wat Chalong; free afternoon.
- Day 8: Phuket–Mumbai non-stop; wheelchair assistance pre-booked at both ends if needed.
Joint families and friend groups from Mumbai travel as a private group on their own dates, with a private van at each stop and rooms close together.
Mumbai's holiday calendar and Thailand's two coasts
Mumbai's monsoon and the Andaman coast's rains arrive at roughly the same time, which surprises many first-time visitors. Phuket, Krabi and Phi Phi are on the Andaman Sea: dry from about November to April, rough seas and cancelled boat trips more likely from May to October. Bangkok and Pattaya work all year, and Koh Samui on the Gulf side is at its driest in June to August, when Mumbai is wettest.
- Christmas and New Year: 25 December 2026 and 1 January 2027 both fall on a Friday – two long weekends that suit the after-midnight Bangkok flight. Phuket and Krabi are in peak season; book hotels by October or early November.
- Republic Day and Holi: 26 January 2027 is a Tuesday, so one day of leave on Monday gives four days. Holi in late March is another short break before island weather turns.
- May vacation: Maharashtra schools close from early May to mid-June. Early May is hot but mostly calm; from mid-May, choose Bangkok–Pattaya with a single island day rather than a beach-only plan.
- Ganeshotsav: most Mumbai families stay home. The weeks just after visarjan are cheap, but the Andaman coast is still rainy; Bangkok, Pattaya or Koh Samui suit that window.
- Diwali: the 2026 Diwali break is under way as this page is updated. Diwali 2027 falls at the end of October, when the islands are only just drying out – Bangkok–Pattaya with Krabi at the end is the safer route. Book Diwali 2027 flights by August.
- Thai festivals: Loy Krathong, with floating lanterns on rivers and lakes, falls around 24–25 November in 2026; Songkran, the water festival, is 13–15 April every year.
Month by month for a Mumbai traveller
| Month | Phuket / Krabi | Bangkok / Pattaya | In Mumbai |
|---|---|---|---|
| November | Dry season starting; good | Pleasant; Loy Krathong | Diwali break, wedding season |
| December | Best; highest prices | Best | Christmas break |
| January | Best | Best | Republic Day long weekend |
| February | Dry, calm sea | Warming up | Honeymoons after wedding season |
| March | Hot, calm | Hot | Board exams; Holi |
| April | Hot; last good month | Very hot; Songkran | Exams end; Gudi Padwa |
| May | Rains begin mid-month | Hot, showers | Summer vacation |
| June – August | Rough seas; some island trips cancelled | Showers; fine for shopping | Monsoon |
| September – October | Wettest months | Rain easing in October | Ganeshotsav, Navratri |
Gujarati, Marwari, Jain and Maharashtrian food in Thailand
- Bangkok: the easiest city. Pahurat, Bangkok's old Indian textile quarter, and the lanes of Sukhumvit and Pratunam have pure-veg restaurants run by Indian families, some serving Gujarati and Rajasthani thalis and Jain dishes without onion, garlic or root vegetables. Many Mumbai garment and gem traders already know these from business trips to Pratunam and Silom.
- Pattaya: dozens of Indian restaurants along Beach Road and the central lanes, most with a vegetarian menu; strict Jain cooking is possible at a few, with notice.
- Phuket and Krabi: Indian restaurants in Patong, Kata and Ao Nang, but fewer of them and mostly North Indian. On island-tour days lunch is a buffet on a beach or boat – vegetarian items exist, Jain options usually do not, so pack theplas, khakhra or dry snacks for those days.
- Maharashtrian food: you will find poha and the odd misal on Indian menus in Bangkok, but not a proper Maharashtrian thali. Packaged home food – chivda, ladoo, thalipeeth bhajani – is allowed in baggage.
- Thai vegetarian: look for the yellow flag with red letters, which marks Thai "jay" food – no meat, fish sauce, garlic or onion. It is close to Jain and worth trying. Ordinary Thai dishes often contain fish sauce or shrimp paste even when called vegetarian, so ask.
- Hotel breakfasts: 4- and 5-star hotels usually have an Indian counter; we add your meal preference to every voucher.
Practical tips before you leave Mumbai
- Checked baggage: many Thai Vietjet, Thai Lion Air and low-cost Indian fares include only cabin bags. Add kilos when booking if you plan to shop at Pratunam or the Bangkok outlet malls.
- Money: a forex card for most spends, plus about THB 3,000 – 5,000 cash per person for park fees, street food and tuk-tuks. Changing rupees directly in Thailand gives poor rates.
- Dress: shoulders and knees covered at the Grand Palace and major temples; carry a light scarf.
- Night flights: keep a change of clothes and toothbrush in the cabin bag; on an early landing, your room may be ready only after lunch unless we book it from the previous night.

Our Thailand packages currently start at ₹13,000 per person for 2 nights. Most of our Thailand packages fall between ₹29,800 and ₹62,500 per person. The final cost depends on the travel month, hotel category, number of travellers and whether flights from Mumbai are added. How long is the flight from Mumbai to Bangkok?
About 4¼ to 4½ hours non-stop. Thailand is 1½ hours ahead of India, so a 12.40 am departure from Mumbai lands in Bangkok around 7 am local time, and the 7.20 am Air India flight lands around 1.35 pm. Coming home, the time difference works in your favour.
Which airlines fly non-stop from Mumbai to Thailand?
As of November 2026, IndiGo, Air India, Thai Airways and Thai Vietjet fly Mumbai to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, and Thai Lion Air flies nightly to Don Mueang. IndiGo, Akasa Air, SpiceJet and Thai Vietjet fly to Phuket, and IndiGo flies to Krabi. We compare total cost including baggage before recommending one.
Is there a direct flight from Mumbai to Phuket or Krabi?
Yes. Phuket has non-stops from Mumbai on IndiGo, Akasa Air, SpiceJet and Thai Vietjet, about 4½ to 4¾ hours. IndiGo has flown Mumbai to Krabi non-stop since 2025. Using both lets you fly into Krabi and home from Phuket, which saves a day of backtracking on a beach trip.
Can I do Bangkok on a weekend from Mumbai?
Yes. Take an after-midnight flight on Thursday night, land in Bangkok around 7 am Friday, and return either late on Sunday night or early on Monday morning, landing in Mumbai before lunch. Book the hotel from Thursday night so you can check in on arrival and rest.
Do Indians need a visa for Thailand from Mumbai?
No, for tourism up to 30 days, as of November 2026. Since 15 September 2026 Indian passport holders enter visa-free for up to 30 days per entry, down from 60 days earlier. You must fill the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card online within 72 hours before landing and carry return tickets and hotel bookings.
When should I fill the TDAC for a midnight flight from Mumbai?
Within the 72 hours before you land in Thailand. For a flight leaving Mumbai at 12.40 am and landing around 7 am, fill it on the afternoon before departure. Each traveller, including children, needs a separate card, and one adult can fill them for the family. Use only the official, free website.
Should I land at Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang?
Suvarnabhumi suits most trips, especially if you go straight to Pattaya, and is where Air India, IndiGo and Thai Airways land. Thai Lion Air uses Don Mueang, which is closer to Pratunam and Chatuchak. Check your ticket carefully – the two airports are about an hour apart by road.
Is Jain food available in Thailand?
In Bangkok and Pattaya, yes: several Indian pure-veg restaurants cook without onion, garlic or root vegetables. Thai "jay" food, marked by a yellow flag, is also free of garlic and onion. In Phuket and Krabi options are fewer, and island-tour lunches rarely have Jain dishes, so carry dry snacks for those days.
What is the best time to visit Thailand from Mumbai?
November to April for Phuket, Krabi and the islands, with the calmest seas from December to March. Bangkok and Pattaya work all year. During Mumbai's May vacation and monsoon, choose Bangkok and Pattaya or Koh Samui, because the Andaman coast has rough seas and some boat trips are cancelled.
How much does a Thailand trip from Mumbai cost for a couple?
For a 5-night Krabi and Phuket trip with 3-star hotels, the land part is roughly ₹46,000 – 60,000 for two, and return flights from Mumbai add about ₹36,000 – 64,000 outside peak weeks. Deluxe pool-access hotels raise the land part to about ₹64,000 – 85,000. Park fees, shows and most meals are extra.
Do you have an office in Mumbai?
No. Our team works from C G Road in Ahmedabad and plans Mumbai trips on WhatsApp and phone, Monday to Saturday. You get a written itinerary with hotel names and flight options, pay online against an invoice, and receive tickets and vouchers as PDFs, with 24×7 WhatsApp support during the trip.
