Thailand Tour Packages from Pune
A breakfast-time non-stop from Lohegaon puts you in Bangkok by lunch; for Phuket and Krabi, Mumbai is a drive away. Private Thailand trips for Pune families, couples and friends, planned around Diwali and the May break.
From Pune, the shape of a Thailand trip depends on one flight. Pune International Airport at Lohegaon (PNQ) has a daily non-stop to Bangkok – Air India Express, which resumed the route on 1 August 2026 – leaving around 7.15 am and landing at Suvarnabhumi around lunchtime. That makes Bangkok and Pattaya the easiest Thailand holiday from Pune: no Mumbai drive, no night flight, and a full first afternoon. Phuket and Krabi are different. There is no non-stop to the islands from Pune, so you either connect in Bangkok or drive down the expressway to Mumbai, which has non-stops to Bangkok, Phuket and Krabi.
This page is for travellers from Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad and nearby towns such as Satara, Baramati and Ahilyanagar. It sets out indicative per-person costs, a plain comparison of flying from PNQ versus Mumbai, entry rules as of November 2026, three itineraries that use those flights, how Diwali, Ganeshotsav and the Maharashtra school calendar fit Thailand's seasons, and food notes for Marathi, Gujarati and Jain families. Vibrant Holidays plans your trip from its office in Ahmedabad and you book on WhatsApp or phone; we have no Pune office. Every trip is private – your dates, your own transfers.

What a Thailand trip from Pune costs (2026)
We have 24 Thailand packages on sale today, starting at ₹13,000 per person. The bands below are indicative, per person for two adults sharing, and exclude flights. They cover hotels with breakfast, private airport and intercity transfers, and one main excursion per stop: a temple and city tour in Bangkok, Coral Island from Pattaya, Phi Phi by speedboat from Phuket and the 4-Island tour from Krabi.
| Trip | Standard (3-star) | Deluxe (4-star) | Premium (5-star or pool villa) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 nights – Bangkok only, long weekend | ₹12,500 – 17,000 | ₹18,500 – 25,000 | ₹32,000 – 48,000 |
| 4 nights – Bangkok (2) and Pattaya (2) | ₹16,500 – 22,500 | ₹24,000 – 32,000 | ₹42,000 – 62,000 |
| 5 nights – Phuket (3) and Krabi (2) | ₹23,500 – 30,500 | ₹32,500 – 43,000 | ₹56,000 – 86,000 |
| 6 nights – Bangkok (2), Krabi (2), Phuket (2), with a domestic flight | ₹30,000 – 38,500 | ₹41,000 – 54,000 | ₹72,000 – 1,10,000 |
Flights from Pune: the PNQ–Bangkok non-stop usually costs about ₹17,000–30,000 per person return in economy when booked six to eight weeks ahead. From Mumbai, Bangkok fares are often a little lower because many airlines compete, and Mumbai–Phuket or Mumbai–Krabi return runs about ₹18,000–32,000. If you fly from Mumbai, add a private car from Pune – roughly ₹4,500–7,500 each way for a sedan or SUV, more for a Tempo Traveller. A Bangkok–Krabi or Phuket–Bangkok domestic sector adds about ₹3,500–7,000 per person. Diwali and Christmas–New Year push international fares to ₹30,000–45,000.
Extras on the ground: marine park fees (about THB 200–400 per adult, cash) on island days, Safari World, the Alcazar show, a Chao Phraya cruise, massages and meals beyond breakfast. Each is priced on your quote so nothing comes as a surprise at a tour counter.
Fly from Lohegaon or drive to Mumbai?
Flight details are as of November 2026. Airlines change schedules every season; we confirm the exact flight when we quote.
| Pune (PNQ) | Mumbai (BOM) | |
|---|---|---|
| Non-stop to Bangkok | Air India Express, daily; leaves around 7.15 am, about 4 hours | Many daily flights to Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang on Indian and Thai airlines |
| Non-stop to Phuket or Krabi | None; connect in Bangkok | Non-stops to Phuket; IndiGo to Krabi (since 2025) |
| Return timing | Lands back in Pune around 5.30 pm | Choice of morning, evening and overnight returns |
| Time to the airport | 15–25 minutes from Viman Nagar or Kharadi; an hour or more from Hinjewadi, Baner or Kothrud | About 3–4 hours by the Mumbai–Pune Expressway, longer on Friday evenings and at the Khandala ghat |
| Best for | Bangkok–Pattaya trips, seniors, families with toddlers | Beach-only trips to Phuket and Krabi, open-jaw routes, sold-out dates at PNQ |
- One airline means one price. With a single daily non-stop, PNQ fares rise sharply once Diwali or Christmas seats sell. If the Pune fare is ₹8,000 or more above Mumbai for a family of four, the car to Mumbai usually pays for itself.
- The morning departure: 7.15 am means leaving home around 4 am. In return you land at about 12.45 pm Thai time (Thailand is 1½ hours ahead of India) and still have the afternoon in Bangkok.
- Driving to Mumbai: leave Pune at least six hours before an international departure. For early-morning Mumbai flights we suggest a night at an airport hotel in Andheri or Sahar rather than a 1 am start on the expressway. Navi Mumbai International Airport, closer to Pune by road, is still adding routes; we check it too.
- Baggage: many Air India Express and low-cost fares include only cabin baggage. Add checked bags at booking if you plan Pratunam shopping or are carrying home food for the week.
Thailand entry rules for Indians (as of November 2026)
Indian tourists with an ordinary passport can stay in Thailand for up to 30 days per entry without a visa. The 30-day limit applies from 15 September 2026, replacing the 60-day stay allowed earlier. A holiday from Pune will not come close to that, but if you need a longer stay or are travelling for work, read our Thailand visa guide for Indians. We prepare and submit e-visa applications; approval is at the Thai authorities' discretion.
- Passport: at least six months' validity from your arrival date.
- Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC): free, on the official immigration website, within 72 hours before landing; one per traveller, children included. On the 7.15 am PNQ flight, fill it the evening before you leave.
- Documents: return or onward ticket and hotel bookings for every night, on your phone and printed.
- Funds: official guidance asks for at least THB 20,000 per traveller in cash or on a card; checks are random.
- Prohibited: vapes and e-cigarettes are illegal in Thailand.
Correct as of November 2026; rules change – we check before you book and again a week before departure.

Extended families from Pune often travel as a private group of ten to twenty on their own dates. We book a private van in each city and split rooms by generation – a quieter hotel wing for grandparents, interconnecting rooms for cousins.
Diwali, Ganeshotsav and the Maharashtra school calendar
- Diwali vacation: Maharashtra schools close for about two weeks around Diwali in late October or November. In most years the Andaman coast is drying out by then; Bangkok–Pattaya is safe throughout, and Phuket–Krabi suits Diwali trips that fall in November. Book PNQ seats by August – the single daily flight fills first.
- Ganeshotsav: most Puneri families stay home for the ten days, and mandal volunteers cannot leave. The weeks right after Anant Chaturdashi are quiet and cheap on both sides, but the islands are still in their rainy season, so a post-Ganpati break works best as Bangkok and Pattaya or Koh Samui.
- Summer vacation: state-board schools in Maharashtra usually break from early May to mid-June. Early May is hot and dry; from mid-May, rough seas can cancel Phi Phi trips. For a May family trip we lean towards Bangkok–Pattaya with a single island day.
- Christmas and year-end: CBSE and ICSE schools in Pune break for about a week. Peak season in Thailand – book hotels by September.
- Long weekends: Shivaji Jayanti (19 February), Gudi Padwa, Maharashtra Day (1 May) and Independence Day create three-day windows that suit a Bangkok-only trip on the PNQ non-stop.
Thailand has festivals of its own worth timing: Songkran, the water festival, around 13–15 April, and Loy Krathong with its floating lanterns, usually in November, which can line up with a late Diwali break.
Thailand or Dubai from Pune?
Pune families weighing a first foreign holiday usually compare these two, because both have a non-stop from Lohegaon.
| Thailand | Dubai | |

| Visa | Visa-free up to 30 days, plus TDAC | UAE e-visa needed before travel |

| Beaches and islands | The main reason to go | City beaches only |
| Weather in the Diwali vacation | Warm and humid; islands improving | Pleasant evenings, warm days |
| Best for | Beaches, honeymoons, friends, budget families | Shopping, theme parks, grandparents who prefer city comfort |
Our Dubai packages from Pune page covers the other side; we are happy to quote both for the same dates.

Marathi, Gujarati and Jain food in Thailand, and other tips
- Vegetarian meals: Bangkok's Sukhumvit and Pratunam, Pattaya's Second Road, Patong in Phuket and Ao Nang in Krabi all have Indian restaurants with pure-veg menus; a few in Bangkok and Pattaya serve a Gujarati-style thali. Marathi dishes as such are rare – think dal-rice and sabzi rather than misal or pithla-bhakri.
- Jain food: possible in Bangkok and Pattaya with notice; harder on the islands. Thai "jay" vegetarian food skips onion and garlic but often uses potato, carrot and other roots, so it is not automatically Jain. We write Jain requirements on every voucher and arrange packed meals for boat days.
- Fasting days: if someone in the family keeps a Shravan, Ekadashi or Navratri fast, carry sabudana, rajgira and peanut mixes; hotel kitchens will cook them, and Thai markets have plenty of fruit, coconut water and sweet potato.
- Pack from Pune: bakarwadi, chivda, thepla and methi puri survive the trip well and help on early starts. Keep liquids such as pickles in checked baggage.
- Money: the baht is about ₹2.6–2.7. Carry part of the THB 20,000 funds requirement in cash and the rest on a forex card.
- Temples and boats: cover shoulders and knees at temples; choose big-boat island tours for seniors.
- Getting around: use Grab or metered taxis; photograph any rented jet ski before use.

How much does a Thailand tour package from Pune cost?
Our Thailand packages currently start at ₹13,000 per person for 2 nights. Most of our Thailand packages fall between ₹29,800 and ₹62,500 per person. The final cost depends on the travel month, hotel category, number of travellers and whether flights from Pune are added. Open any package below to see exactly what is included, or ask us for a quote with flights.
Is there a direct flight from Pune to Bangkok?
Yes. As of November 2026 Air India Express flies non-stop from Pune to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi daily, leaving around 7.15 am and taking about four hours. The service resumed on 1 August 2026. There is no non-stop from Pune to Phuket or Krabi; for those you connect in Bangkok or fly from Mumbai.
Should I fly to Thailand from Pune or from Mumbai?
For Bangkok and Pattaya, Pune is usually better: no drive and an afternoon in Bangkok on day one. For Phuket or Krabi only, Mumbai has non-stops and often lower fares, but add about 3–4 hours of driving and a car costing roughly ₹4,500–7,500 each way. We compare the full cost for your dates.
Do Indians need a visa for Thailand in November 2026?
Not for a holiday of up to 30 days. That limit applies from 15 September 2026, replacing the earlier 60 days. You need a passport valid for six months, the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card filled within 72 hours before landing, return tickets, hotel bookings and proof of funds. Rules change, so we check again before you fly.
How do we reach Phuket from Pune?
Two ways. Take the Pune–Bangkok non-stop and connect to a domestic flight to Phuket, about 1½ hours, which is easiest if you also want Bangkok. Or drive to Mumbai and take a non-stop to Phuket, which suits beach-only trips. We book both legs on matching timings and add checked baggage.
Is Thailand good for the Diwali vacation from Pune?
Yes. Bangkok and Pattaya are fine at any Diwali date. When Diwali falls in November, Phuket and Krabi are usually in their dry season too. The single PNQ flight fills early for Diwali week, so book by August or plan to fly from Mumbai.
Can we travel to Thailand right after Ganeshotsav?
Yes, and it is one of the cheapest windows of the year. The catch is weather: September and early October are still rainy on Phuket and Krabi, and boat trips can be cancelled. A post-Ganpati trip works best as Bangkok and Pattaya, or Koh Samui on the drier Gulf coast.
Will Jain travellers manage in Thailand?
Yes, with planning. Bangkok and Pattaya have Indian restaurants that cook Jain food with notice; the islands have fewer. Thai vegetarian food skips onion and garlic but often uses potato and other roots, so it is not automatically Jain. We write Jain needs on every voucher and arrange packed meals for boat days.
What is the Pune to Bangkok return airfare?
Usually about ₹17,000 to ₹30,000 per person return in economy, booked six to eight weeks ahead. Because only one airline flies the route non-stop, fares climb quickly around Diwali, Christmas and the May vacation, sometimes to ₹30,000–45,000. In those weeks Mumbai often works out cheaper even after adding the car.
What time should I leave home for the 7.15 am Pune flight?
Aim to reach Lohegaon about three hours before departure, so around 4.15 am. From Viman Nagar or Kharadi that means leaving around 4 am; from Hinjewadi, Baner or Kothrud allow an extra half hour. Fill in the Thailand Digital Arrival Card the evening before so the morning stays simple.
Is Thailand or Dubai better for a first trip abroad from Pune?
Both have non-stops from Pune. Thailand costs less on the ground, needs no visa for Indians and has beaches and islands. Dubai needs an e-visa, costs more, and suits shopping, theme parks and grandparents who prefer city comfort. Couples and friends mostly pick Thailand; mixed-age families often choose Dubai.
Do you have an office in Pune?
No. Our team works from Ahmedabad and plans Thailand trips for Pune travellers on WhatsApp and phone. You get a written quote, a day-wise plan, vouchers and invoices as PDFs, pay by bank transfer or UPI, and have 24x7 support from our team and our ground partners in Thailand during your trip.
