Bali Tour Packages from Pune
Pune has no flight to Bali of its own, so the way you leave the city decides your first day on the island – private Bali holidays planned around the Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi and Bangkok connections, with villas, entry paperwork and vegetarian meals sorted.
From Pune, the first question about Bali is not which villa but which airport. Pune International Airport at Lohegaon (PNQ) has no flight to Denpasar, and as of November 2026 its only international non-stops go to the Gulf and Bangkok; the old Pune–Singapore service, once the obvious way to Bali, is not operating. So every Bali trip from Pune starts with a choice: drive three to four hours to Mumbai for IndiGo's daily Bali flight, take a short domestic hop to Bengaluru or Delhi and catch a non-stop from there, or fly the morning Pune–Bangkok non-stop and continue to Bali. Each option lands you on the island at a different hour and changes how much of the first and last days you can use.
This page is written for travellers from Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad and the towns around – Hinjewadi and Kharadi IT crowds, Kothrud and Baner families, and couples from Satara, Baramati or Ahilyanagar who come through Pune. It lays out indicative package costs, a plain comparison of the four routings with their landing times, three itineraries built on those flights, the Diwali, summer-vacation and long-weekend windows for 2026–27, and food notes for Maharashtrian vegetarian and Jain families. Our team in Ahmedabad plans every trip; we have no Pune office, and you plan and book with us on WhatsApp or phone. Each trip is private – your dates, your own car and driver in Bali.

Airfare from Pune: as of November 2026, one-stop economy returns starting at PNQ usually cost about ₹32,000 – 50,000 per person when booked six to eight weeks ahead. Starting in Mumbai is often ₹3,000 – 8,000 cheaper per person, but add the road trip: a sedan from Pune to Mumbai airport costs roughly ₹4,000 – 6,000 each way. For a couple, flying from Pune is usually worth it; for a family of four, Mumbai often wins. Diwali, Christmas–New Year and the May vacation push fares to ₹45,000 – 65,000.
Entry per person: IDR 500,000 for the e-VOA (about ₹2,650) and IDR 150,000 for the Bali levy (about ₹800), shown as separate lines on our quote. For a full rupee-by-rupee budget including food and pocket money, see our Bali trip cost guide.
Paid locally or added on request: temple tickets and the Kecak dance, the jungle swing, Mount Batur sunrise trek, Ayung rafting, Waterbom, spa sessions, beach-club spends, meals not in the plan and the driver's tip.
Four ways to fly from Pune to Bali
Schedules below are as of November 2026 and change with each airline season; we confirm the exact flights when quoting.
| Routing | How it works | Lands in Bali | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Road to Mumbai (BOM), then IndiGo to Denpasar | Daily IndiGo flight 6E 1607, currently with a stop at Chennai on the same aircraft; IndiGo plans to fly it non-stop with a longer-range aircraft, reported as not before late March 2027 (as of November 2026) | Afternoon or early evening | Families of three or more, larger bags, travellers who want a single flight |
| Pune → Bengaluru → Denpasar | IndiGo evening flight to Bengaluru, then the IndiGo non-stop that leaves just before 1 am | About 10:15 am | Couples who want a full first day and a single airline on one ticket |
| Pune → Delhi → Denpasar | Air India domestic to Delhi, then Air India's overnight non-stop on the days it operates | Morning | Full-service comfort; travellers already flying Air India |
| Pune → Bangkok → Denpasar | Air India Express morning non-stop to Bangkok (about 4 hours), then Thai Airways or Thai AirAsia to Bali (about 4¼ hours) | Night, or the next day after a Bangkok stopover | A Bali-plus-Bangkok holiday; Thailand is visa-free for Indians for up to 30 days |
What each choice means in practice
- The Mumbai drive: plan on 3 to 4 hours from Pune to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International via the Expressway, longer on Friday evenings or if the Khandala ghat section is slow. For a morning departure, most Pune couples stay the night before at an airport hotel in Andheri or Sahar rather than leaving home at 1 am. MSRTC's Shivneri AC buses run frequently between Pune and Mumbai, but with luggage a door-to-door cab is simpler. The newer Navi Mumbai airport is closer by road; we check it as it adds international routes.
- The late return into Mumbai: the IndiGo flight back from Bali reaches Mumbai after midnight. Driving to Pune at 2 am after a long day is the part of this routing we like least; we either book an airport hotel for the night or arrange a driver who has slept, not one finishing his own day.
- Via Bengaluru: only on one ticket and one booking reference, so a delay on the Pune leg is the airline's responsibility. The return leaves Bali around 11:15 am, reaches Bengaluru mid-afternoon, and you are home in Pune the same evening – the easiest finish of any routing.
- Via Bangkok: the Pune–Bangkok non-stop leaves Lohegaon around 7:15 am. Because the onward Bali flight is usually on a separate ticket, we do not plan a tight same-day connection; two nights in Bangkok, on the way out or back, turn the risk into a holiday. See our Thailand trips from Pune.
- Baggage: IndiGo international fares include a checked bag; Thai AirAsia and some Air India Express fares do not. We add bags at booking, which is cheaper than at the counter.
- Time difference: Bali is 2½ hours ahead of Pune. A 10:15 am landing is 7:45 am by your body clock.
Entry paperwork for Indian passports (as of November 2026)
- e-VOA or visa on arrival: IDR 500,000, 30 days, extendable once. Indonesia announced in August 2026 that it plans to raise this fee, with a higher price at the airport counter than online; no start date was confirmed when we checked. We prepare and submit the e-VOA with your passport scan and photo; approval is at the discretion of Indonesian immigration.
- Bali tourist levy: IDR 150,000 per person on the provincial Love Bali portal, or at the airport. Keep the QR code on your phone.
- All Indonesia arrival card: free, filled online within three days before landing.
Passports need six months of validity and a blank page. If you transit Mumbai or Bengaluru, you clear Indian emigration there, not in Pune. The Bali visa guide for Indians explains each step and the copycat websites to avoid.
Three Bali itineraries built on Pune routings
5 nights – honeymoon via Mumbai (late-day arrival, evening return)
- Day 1: Land in the afternoon or early evening; 20 minutes to a Jimbaran villa. Sunset dinner on the sand – vegetarian grills are available alongside the seafood.
- Day 2: Slow morning; Uluwatu cliffs, Padang Padang beach and the temple with the Kecak dance at sunset.
- Day 3: To Ubud via Celuk silver village and Tegenungan waterfall; private pool villa among the paddy fields.
- Day 4: Floating breakfast, Tegalalang terraces early, Tirta Empul spring temple, a coffee plantation, the swing; couple massage.
- Day 5: Campuhan ridge walk at sunrise, Ubud market, a vegetarian Balinese cooking class.
- Day 6: Because the flight back leaves in the evening, keep a full day: late check-out, Tanah Lot on the way to the airport, then home via Mumbai with a night at an airport hotel.
6 nights – family via Bengaluru (morning arrival)
- Day 1: Off the overnight non-stop at about 10:15 am; 20 minutes to Nusa Dua. Early check-in requested; nap, then the calm lagoon beach.
- Day 2: Glass-bottom boat to Turtle Island and gentle water sports at Tanjung Benoa; Garuda Wisnu Kencana in the evening.
- Day 3: Bali Safari and Marine Park on the way to Ubud; family villa with a pool.
- Day 4: Monkey Forest, the palace and the art market; Barong dance for the children.
- Day 5: Kintamani volcano view with lunch, rice terraces on the way back.
- Day 6: Down to Kuta for Waterbom, night near the airport.
- Day 7: Fifteen minutes to the airport for the late-morning flight; Bengaluru by mid-afternoon, Pune by evening.
7 nights – Bali and Bangkok for friends or couples
- Days 1–2 – Seminyak: arrive via Mumbai or Bengaluru; beach clubs, Tanah Lot at sunset.
- Day 3 – Nusa Penida: fast boat from Sanur for Kelingking and Broken Beach.
- Days 4–5 – Ubud: Mount Batur sunrise trek for the energetic, Ayung rafting, terraces and temples.
- Day 6 – to Bangkok: afternoon flight Denpasar–Bangkok; evening on the river.
- Day 7 – Bangkok: Grand Palace and Wat Arun in the morning, Pratunam or Siam shopping later.
- Day 8: Air India Express non-stop from Bangkok, landing at Lohegaon in the evening – no Mumbai drive on the way home.
Every plan is private and customised. Two or three Pune families travelling together go as a private group on their own dates, usually in a minivan and often sharing a three- or four-bedroom pool villa with a kitchen.
Diwali, the May break and Pune long weekends (2026–27)
Maharashtra state-board schools usually close for about two to three weeks around Diwali (Lakshmi Pujan falls on 8 November in 2026) and for summer from early May to mid-June. CBSE, ICSE and IB schools in Pune publish their own dates, so check your circular before we hold seats.
| Window | Dates | Bali at that time | Planning note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Christmas weekend | Friday 25 – Sunday 27 December 2026 | Wet season, peak prices | One day of leave gives four nights; Mumbai flights fill first |
| Republic Day | Tuesday 26 January 2027 | Wet; mornings often clear | Take Monday off for a four-night trip |
| Shivaji Jayanti | Friday 19 – Sunday 21 February 2027 | Wettest stretch, lowest villa rates | A value honeymoon window |
| Nyepi | Tuesday 9 March 2027 | The island and airport close for 24 hours | Do not land or leave that day |
| Good Friday | 26 – 28 March 2027 | Rain easing | Good shoulder-season weekend |
| Gudi Padwa | Wednesday 7 April 2027 | Dry season begins | Bridge two days for a short trip |
| Maharashtra Day and summer vacation | Saturday 1 May 2027; schools from early May | Dry, green, calm seas | The best family window; book by February |
| Ganeshotsav and Diwali 2027 | Late summer and autumn; dates from your school | Dry until October | A post-visarjan trip catches Bali at its driest |
For Hinjewadi, Kharadi and Magarpatta professionals: most IT companies give the national holidays above. A Friday-evening departure via Bengaluru, with Monday and Tuesday off, gives four nights in Bali and you are back at your desk on Wednesday. Bali villas have good Wi-Fi, so some couples add two working days in Ubud or Canggu; tell us and we pick a villa with a proper desk and a back-up connection.
The monsoon swap: June to September, when Pune is grey and the Sinhagad and Rajmachi trails are slippery, is Bali's driest and sunniest season. For Pune's trekking crowd, the Mount Batur sunrise climb – about two hours up an active volcano – is the obvious substitute.
Bali month by month for Pune travellers
| Month | Bali | Pune at the same time | Price level |
|---|---|---|---|
| January – February | Heaviest rain, warm, humid | Cool, dry winter | Low after the first week of January |
| March | Showers easing; Nyepi 9 March 2027 | Warming up | Low to medium |
| April – May | Dry season starts, landscape still green | Hot, 38°C afternoons | Medium; fares rise in May |
| June | Dry, pleasant | Monsoon arrives | Medium |
| July – August | Driest, coolest evenings, calm seas | Full monsoon; Shravan | Highest except New Year |
| September | Dry and sunny, fewer crowds | Ganeshotsav, rain easing | Medium; best-value dry month |
| October | Mostly dry, a few late showers | Post-monsoon heat | Medium-high |
| November | Rains begin | Diwali, pleasant | Medium; Diwali week dearer |
| December | Wet; Christmas–New Year rush | Cool mornings | Peak from 20 December |
Pune's dry winter and Bali's wet season coincide, which surprises many first-timers. Bali's rain usually arrives as an afternoon downpour, so we plan sightseeing in the mornings and keep Nusa Penida on a flexible day from December to February, when boats are sometimes cancelled.
Maharashtrian vegetarian, Jain and fasting food in Bali
- Indian restaurants: Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, Nusa Dua and Ubud have several, mostly North Indian. Expect dal, paneer, jeera rice and rotis rather than varan-bhaat, usal or bhakri. A few will make a simple dal-rice and potato bhaji if asked.
- Balinese vegetarian food: tempeh, tofu, gado-gado with peanut sauce (pleasantly close to a mild shengdana chutney) and vegetable fried rice are on most menus. Always ask for no terasi, the shrimp paste hidden in many sambals.
- Jain travellers: genuinely limited. Onion, garlic and potato are in most local and Indian cooking. Larger resorts manage Jain meals with notice, and a private villa with a cook briefed in writing works best. We note every request on the vouchers.
- Upvas and Shravan: sabudana, rajgira and varai are not found in Bali. Families who keep Ekadashi or Shravan fasts usually pack sabudana, ready-to-cook mixes and dry snacks; fruit – mangosteen, salak, papaya, bananas – is plentiful.
- From home: Pune families commonly carry chivda, bakarwadi, ladoos and thepla for the first days and the boat trip. Keep it sealed and packaged, and answer the food question on the arrival card honestly.
- Spice: Balinese food is milder than kolhapuri cooking; sambal matah (raw shallot, lemongrass and chilli) on the side brings it closer.
- Practical: about 190 rupiah to the rupee; use bank ATMs. Bali uses two-pin European plugs. Light cottons, a rain jacket from November to March, and a sarong or long skirt for temples (or borrow one at the gate).

How much does a Bali tour package from Pune cost?
Our Bali packages currently start at ₹10,999 per person for 3 nights. Most of our Bali packages fall between ₹26,999 and ₹55,000 per person. The final cost depends on the travel month, hotel category, number of travellers and whether flights from Pune are added. Open any package below to see exactly what is included, or ask us for a quote with flights.
Is there a direct flight from Pune to Bali?
No. As of November 2026 no airline flies from Pune to Denpasar. Pune travellers either drive to Mumbai for IndiGo's daily Bali flight, connect through Bengaluru or Delhi to their non-stops, or fly the Pune–Bangkok non-stop and continue to Bali. Door to door, expect roughly 11 to 16 hours depending on the routing.
Should we fly from Pune or drive to Mumbai for Bali?
For a couple, flying from Pune via Bengaluru or Delhi is usually worth the small fare difference, because it avoids a long road trip and the after-midnight return into Mumbai. For a family of four or more, Mumbai fares often save enough to pay for the cab both ways. We price both for your dates.
How long does it take to reach Mumbai airport from Pune?
About 3 to 4 hours by the Mumbai–Pune Expressway, more on Friday evenings, holiday weekends or when the Khandala ghat is slow. For an international flight, leave at least six hours before departure. For early flights we suggest a night at an airport hotel in Andheri or Sahar instead of a middle-of-the-night drive.
What does a Pune to Bali return flight cost?
As of November 2026, one-stop economy returns from Pune usually cost about ₹32,000 to 50,000 per person when booked six to eight weeks ahead. Mumbai is often a little cheaper. Diwali, Christmas–New Year and the May vacation push fares to roughly ₹45,000 to 65,000. These are typical ranges; we quote live fares.
Is there still a Pune to Singapore flight for connecting to Bali?
Not as of November 2026; the Air India Pune–Singapore non-stop is not operating. Pune travellers who want a Singapore routing connect through Mumbai, Bengaluru or Delhi. A Singapore stopover of a night or more needs a visa arranged before travel, while a simple airside connection usually does not.
Can we combine Bali with Bangkok from Pune?
Yes, and it suits Pune well because Air India Express flies non-stop between Pune and Bangkok. A common plan is five nights in Bali and two in Bangkok, ending on the Bangkok–Pune flight so there is no Mumbai drive on the way home. Thailand is visa-free for Indians for up to 30 days as of November 2026.
What do Indians need to enter Bali?
As of November 2026: an e-VOA or visa on arrival for IDR 500,000, valid 30 days and extendable once; the Bali tourist levy of IDR 150,000; and the free All Indonesia arrival card, filled within three days before landing. Passports need six months of validity. We prepare and submit the e-VOA, but approval is up to Indonesian immigration.
Is Bali good for a Diwali vacation from Pune?
It can be. When Diwali falls in late October, Bali is still mostly dry; in a November Diwali year, such as 2026, the wet season is starting, with afternoon showers but warm, usable mornings. Flights from Mumbai and Pune fill early for Diwali week, so book by August for the best fares.
Will we get Maharashtrian or Jain food in Bali?
Maharashtrian dishes are rare; Indian restaurants mostly cook North Indian food, and some will make simple dal-rice on request. Vegetarian Balinese food is easy if you ask for no shrimp paste. Jain meals are limited and work best with a private villa cook briefed in writing. Many Pune families carry snacks and fasting food from home.
How many nights should we plan for Bali from Pune?
Six nights is our suggestion for a first visit, because every routing from Pune uses part of the arrival and departure days. Five nights works on the Bengaluru connection, which lands at about 10:15 am. Seven nights allows a Nusa Penida night or two nights in Bangkok on the way home.
Do you have an office in Pune?
No. Vibrant Holidays is based in Ahmedabad and has planned holidays for 11 years. Pune clients plan with us on WhatsApp or phone, pay online, and receive tickets, the e-VOA, vouchers and the invoice as PDFs. During the trip, a 24x7 WhatsApp line and our Bali ground partner handle any changes.
