Best of South India with Isha Foundation combines two hill stations with a visit many Gujarati travellers now ask for by name: the Isha Yoga Center at the foot of the Velliangiri hills near Coimbatore, home of the 112-foot Adiyogi statue and the Dhyanalinga. The route runs from Bengaluru to Coorg for Dubare Elephant Camp and the Golden Temple monastery, then to Ooty and Coonoor for the Nilgiris, and ends at Isha before a drop back at Bengaluru airport.
From ₹24,999 per person, the price covers 3★ hotels in Coorg, Ooty and Coimbatore with breakfast, a private AC car for all six days and transfers. Flights from Ahmedabad to Bengaluru are quoted live. The pace is gentle and the drives are broken with sightseeing, which suits parents and grandparents.
Madikeri is a hill town in southern India. Framed by the Western Ghats mountain range, it’s known for the Raja’s Seat, a simple monument overlooking forests and rice paddies. In the center, the 17th-century Madikeri Fort features 2 stone elephants at the entrance. Nearby, the domed Omkareshwar Temple is dedicated to the Hindu deity Shiva. To the northwest, cascading Abbey Falls is surrounded by spice plantations.

- Days 1–2 – Coorg: Bengaluru airport to Maharaja Palace Resort (3★), about 6 hours; Dubare Elephant Camp, Namdroling Golden Temple and Abbey Falls.
- Days 3–4 – Ooty and Coonoor: drive to The Greenery – Holiday Inn (3★); Doddabetta Peak, Botanical Garden and Ooty Lake, then Coonoor's Sim's Park, Lamb's Rock and Dolphin's Nose.
- Day 5 – Coimbatore and Isha: downhill to Coimbatore, afternoon at the Isha Yoga Center with the Adiyogi statue and Dhyanalinga; stay at Hotel Heritage Inn (3★).
- Day 6 – Departure: drive to Bengaluru airport, about 6 to 7 hours, or fly from Coimbatore on request.

Getting there from Ahmedabad
Ahmedabad to Bengaluru is a 2 to 2.5 hour non-stop flight with several daily services. Coorg has no airport, so the first drive from Bengaluru is about 6 hours; we leave straight from arrivals with a lunch stop. For the return we can book you out of Coimbatore instead of Bengaluru, which has one-stop connections to Ahmedabad and saves a long drive on the last day. Trains from Ahmedabad to Bengaluru take about 30 hours and are an option for travellers who prefer rail.
Good to know before you book
- Best months: October to March is cool and clear; Coorg is lush but very wet from June to September. Ooty is popular in May when Gujarat is hottest; book early for the Diwali and May holidays.
- Food: Ooty and Coorg have South Indian vegetarian restaurants everywhere, and Gujarati thalis in Ooty town; Isha's canteen is vegetarian. Jain food is arranged on request at the hotels.
- Who it suits: families with parents, yoga and Sadhguru followers, and couples wanting hills without snow.
- Customisation: add Mysore Palace, a Kabini safari night, or an extra day at Isha for a programme.

Is entry to the Isha Yoga Center free?
Yes, entry to the Adiyogi statue and Dhyanalinga is free for visitors. Some offerings and the evening Adiyogi Divya Darshanam light show follow their own timings, which we check for your date.
How long are the drives?
Bengaluru to Coorg about 6 hours, Coorg to Ooty about 6 hours including the Bandipur forest stretch, Ooty to Coimbatore about 3 hours. All are in a private AC car with stops.
Is pure-veg and Jain food available?
Yes. South Indian vegetarian food is the norm in Ooty and Coorg, Ooty has Gujarati restaurants, and we inform each hotel of Jain requirements.
Can we fly back from Coimbatore instead of Bengaluru?
Yes. Coimbatore airport is about 40 minutes from Isha, with one-stop flights to Ahmedabad. It saves the 6-hour drive on day 6.
Is the Nilgiri Mountain Railway included?
Not by default. We can book the Coonoor–Ooty toy train section on day 4 as an add-on, subject to availability.
