Overview

Kathmandu is the capital city and largest city of Nepal with a population of around 1 million. Kathmandu is also the largest metropolis in the Himalayan hill region. Nepali is the most spoken language in the city.

Chitwan District Nepali is one of 77 districts of Nepal, and is located in the southwestern part of Province No. 3 with Bharatpur, the fourth largest city of Nepal, as its district headquarters.

Pokhara is a city on Phewa Lake, in central Nepal. It’s known as a gateway to the Annapurna Circuit, a popular trail in the Himalayas. Tal Barahi Temple, a 2-story pagoda, sits on an island in the lake. On the eastern shore, the Lakeside district has yoga centers and restaurants. In the city’s south, the International Mountain Museum has exhibits on the history of mountaineering and the people of the Himalayas.

Early morning, proceed on a safari in Elephant into the Royal Chitwan National Park, passing through Sal forests, Riverine vegetation and 'elephant grass' savannah. Spot different species of birds, butterflies and the most famous single-horned Asian rhinoceros. If lucky you will spot the Royal Bengal tiger. Rest of the afternoon is free for nature walks. Overnight stay at hotel.

After breakfast proceed to visit local sightseeing of Pokhara Valley. Enjoy a Half Day visit to Bindabasini Temple --The white pagoda-styled building of the Hindu Bindabasini Temple quietly sits at some 3000 feet above sea level along the renowned Annapurna and Machhpuchhare mountain ranges. It is located near the busy Old Bazaar of Pokhara, a center of commerce in the Himalayas and the Gupteshwor Cave where the Shiva lingam is preserved and finally visit the Devi Falls. Return back to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Pokhara to Kathmandu
