Leh, a high-desert city in the Himalayas, is the capital of the Leh region in northern India’s Jammu and Kashmir state. Originally a stop for trading caravans, Leh is now known for its Buddhist sites and nearby trekking areas. Massive 17th-century Leh Palace, modeled on the Dalai Lama’s former home (Tibet’s Potala Palace), overlooks the old town’s bazaar and mazelike lanes.
Turtuk is the northernmost village of India situated in the Leh district of Jammu and Kashmir located in the Nubra tehsil, 205 km from the district headquarter Leh, on the banks of the Shyok River.
Nubra is a tri-armed valley located to the north east of Ladakh valley. Diskit the capital of Nubra is about 150 km north from Leh town, the capital of Ladakh district, India. Local scholars say that its original name was Ldumra.
To access the Pangong Lake, one has to take a five hour long drive from Leh through coarse and dramatic mountain road. The best time to visit Ladakh is between May to September as during winter, the Pangong Tso lake gets freeze.Pangong Tso is a borderline terrain. The Line of Actual Control passes through thislake.
Tso Moriri or Lake Moriri or "Mountain Lake", is a lake in the Ladakhi part of the Changthang Plateau in Jammu and Kashmir in Northern India. The lake and surrounding area are protected as the Tso Moriri Wetland Conservation Reserve.

After Breakfast, move towards second highest Motorable Road of The World, KhardungLa Pass. Have a cup of Tea there, get yourself clicked with the Khardungla Signboard by BRO & proceed towards Nubra valley visiting Deskit Monastery enroute. Proceed further towards Turtuk, the land of Baltis, which came under India post the war of 1971. Overnight at Turtuk.
After Breakfast proceed to Nubra. Check-in at Hotel/Camp, freshen up & later you can have a Double Hump Bactarian Camel ride. Dont forget to click this unique mammal, found in cold Desert. It was once used to carry the trade material on silk route. Overnight at Hunder/Nubra Camps/Hotel.
Leave early Morning after Breakfast, towards Spangmik/Pangong via Warila (17428ft), the most secluded pass of the region. We recommend to travel on this route only after first week of July till last of August.
Diskit-Khalser-Agham-Warila-Sakthi-zingral-Changla-Tangste-Lukung to finally reach breathtaking Pangong Lake. (We recommend to travel on this route only after first week of July till last of August We have 2 routes here to opt for either via Shayok or via Warila, for which a call is taken at the ground itself as per live situation.) After breakfast start for another mind boggling stretch, it may be most scenic one of your lifetime. You will pass across tiny lakes & villages of Nyoma, Mahe & Sumdo before arriving at lake side camps of Tsomoriri. Overnight lakeside. Today you will return to Leh via Tanglangla. You can pay homage at Karzok Monastery before starting your return Trip. Overnight at Leh.
Start towards Sham Valley in the morning after the Breakfast- visiting Hall of fame, Spituk Monastery, confluence of Indus & Zanskar River (Sangam), Gurudwara Sri Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, Sangam, Basgo Palace, Likir & Alchi Monastery.
