Leh, a high-desert city in the Himalayas, is the capital of the Leh region in northern India’s Jammu and Kashmir state. Originally a stop for trading caravans, Leh is now known for its Buddhist sites and nearby trekking areas. Massive 17th-century Leh Palace, modeled on the Dalai Lama’s former home (Tibet’s Potala Palace), overlooks the old town’s bazaar and mazelike lanes.
Nubra is a tri-armed valley located to the north east of Ladakh valley. Diskit the capital of Nubra is about 150 km north from Leh town, the capital of Ladakh district, India. Local scholars say that its original name was Ldumra.
To access the Pangong Lake, one has to take a five hour long drive from Leh through coarse and dramatic mountain road. The best time to visit Ladakh is between May to September as during winter, the Pangong Tso lake gets freeze.Pangong Tso is a borderline terrain. The Line of Actual Control passes through thislake.
Tso Moriri or Lake Moriri or "Mountain Lake", is a lake in the Ladakhi part of the Changthang Plateau in Jammu and Kashmir in Northern India. The lake and surrounding area are protected as the Tso Moriri Wetland Conservation Reserve.
Arrival at Leh Airport, you will be received & welcomed by our Representative before proceeding for Hotel Check-in. Since you have arrived by air, it is strictly advised to relax & acclimitize with Leh altitude & weather. Take full day rest & gear up for upcoming journeys.
After Breakfast, move towards second highest Motorable Road of The World, KhardungLa Pass. Have a cup of Tea there, get yourself clicked with the Khardungla Signboard by BRO & proceed towards Nubra valley visiting Deskit Monastery enroute. Check-in at Hotel/Camp, freshen up & later you can have a Double Hump Bactarian Camel ride. Dont forget to click this unique mammal, found in cold Desert. It was once used to carry the trade material on silk route. Overnight at Hunder/Nubra Camps/Hotel.
After Breakfast, check out from the camps &. Return to Leh by Evening. Overnight at Leh.
After Breakfast, check out from Leh & proceed for one of the most beautiful & scenic, Salt water Pangong Lake at Spangmik via Changla Pass (17350 ft). Various Bollywood movies have been shot at this lake. One-Third of this lake is controlled by India & rest of the two-third lies under Chinese province. Overnight at Camps.
After Breakfast, check out from Camps for return journey to Leh. Enroute visit 3-Idiots School. Overnight at Leh
Start towards Sham Valley in the morning after the Breakfast- visiting Hall of fame, Spituk Monastery, confluence of Indus & Zanskar River (Sangam), Gurudwara Sri Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, Sangam, Basgo Palace, Likir & Alchi Monastery. Return to Leh by evening.
