Visa needed?
Yes. Indian passport holders need a Singapore visa before travelling for a holiday.
How to apply
You hand your documents to an Authorised Visa Agent (AVA) appointed by the Singapore High Commission. The agent files the application online and the approved visa is downloaded as an e-Visa from the ICA website.
Visa fee
INR 2,100 visa processing fee (not refunded if refused or withdrawn). The authorised agent may add a service fee of up to Rs 1,300.
Processing time
Usually 3 to 5 working days, not counting the day of submission, weekends and public holidays. Some cases take longer.
Stay allowed
Decided by the ICA officer at the checkpoint on arrival. The stay granted is shown on an e-Pass sent to your email.
Validity
The visa shows the period in which you may enter Singapore; it varies by application and does not by itself guarantee entry.
Passport
Valid for at least 6 months from the date you enter Singapore.

Through an Authorised Visa Agent listed by the High Commission of Singapore in New Delhi (the list is on the High Commission website).

Documents usually needed

  • Form 14A, filled in and signed by the applicant
  • Passport valid at least 6 months from the date of entry, plus a copy of the bio-data page
  • Recent colour passport-size photograph (taken within the last 3 months, as per ICA photo rules)
  • Form V39A (Letter of Introduction) from a local contact, only if it is asked for
  • English translation of any document that is in Hindi or another language

How to apply

  1. Pick an Authorised Visa Agent from the Singapore High Commission list
  2. Fill in and sign Form 14A and collect the documents and photo
  3. Submit the documents and pay the visa fee (and the agent service fee) at the agent
  4. The agent files the application online with the High Commission / ICA
  5. Check the result on the ICA website with your application reference number and download the e-Visa
  6. Before arrival, fill in the SG Arrival Card online with a working email address

Important to know

A flight ticket is not needed to apply. If you buy one before approval, the risk of a refusal or date mismatch is yours.

The e-Visa can be printed again from the ICA website if you lose it.

Since March 2022 visitors receive an e-Pass by email instead of a passport stamp; it shows the last day you may stay.

Indian travellers transiting by air may qualify for the 96-hour Visa Free Transit Facility if they meet its conditions; check them before relying on it.

Incomplete documents can lead to the application not being accepted, and ICA may ask for more papers.
