Overview

Haridwar is an ancient city and important Hindu pilgrimage site in North India's Uttarakhand state, where the River Ganges exits the Himalayan foothills. The largest of several sacred ghats (bathing steps), Har Ki Pauri hosts a nightly Ganga Aarti (river-worshipping ceremony) in which tiny flickering lamps are floated off the steps. Worshipers fill the city during major festivals including the annual Kanwar Mela.

Mussoorie is a hill station and a municipal board in the Dehradun District of the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is about 35 kilometres from the state capital of Dehradun and 290 km north of the national capital of New Delhi. The hill station is in the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayan range.

Delhi, India’s capital territory, is a massive metropolitan area in the country’s north. In Old Delhi, a neighborhood dating to the 1600s, stands the imposing Mughal-era Red Fort, a symbol of India, and the sprawling Jama Masjid mosque, whose courtyard accommodates 25,000 people. Nearby is Chandni Chowk, a vibrant bazaar filled with food carts, sweets shops and spice stalls.

Agra is a city in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh state. It's home to the iconic Taj Mahal, a mausoleum built for the Mughal ruler Shah Jahan’s wife, Mumtaz Mahal (who died in childbirth in 1631). The imposing main building features a massive dome and intricately carved white marble inlaid with precious stones. This is set behind a reflecting pool inside a courtyard defined by 4 minarets.

Jaipur is the capital of India’s Rajasthan state. It evokes the royal family that once ruled the region and that, in 1727, founded what is now called the Old City, or “Pink City” for its trademark building color. At the center of its stately street grid (notable in India) stands the opulent, colonnaded City Palace complex. With gardens, courtyards and museums, part of it is still a royal residence.

On Arrival at Mussoorie check into hotel and Visit Kempty Falls, which gives you the perfect opportunity to click some great family pictures. Next up, you will visit hotspots such as Gun Hill, George Hill Everest, Company Garden, Mall road ( Car will drop near by mall road parking ), Camel's Back, Lal Tibba, and Municipal Garden as included in your Uttarakhand family holiday. At the end of the day, you will be transferred back to your hotel for dinner and a restful sleep.

If you wish, you could pay a visit to the local markets to explore the many shopping opportunities. From gorgeous jootis to the infamous Rajasthan blue pottery, this shopping experience is bound to be one-of-a-kind. Following this, you may return to the hotel to enjoy a scrumptious dinner and retire to your rooms for a good night’s rest.

Day 8

Local Sightseeing of Jaipur

Start the day off with a hearty breakfast and get set to explore the beautiful city. Located in the heart of Jaipur, the City Palace is a significant architectural site that cannot be missed. This pink and red sandstone palace complex is known to have been the home for a majority of the rulers from the Rajput Kingdom. Following this, you can visit Jantar Mantar, an iconic structure that has been identified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This edifice is an astronomical observatory that measures the distances and positions of celestial objects. Post lunch, you may visit the Amer Fort, which is approximately an hour’s drive from Jaipur City. This fort, that overlooks the Maota Lake, is particularly famous for its artistic architectural elements and breath-taking views. You can choose to visit the various handicraft and art stalls located inside. In the evenings, the fort has a light show that is undoubtedly one of the prime attractions for tourists. At night, return back to hotel for some well-deserved rest and recharge for the next day.
