Overview

The Ramanathaswamy Temple is the most notable historic landmark of the town. Located in the centre of town, It is a famous Hindu temple dedicated to the deity Shiva.

It is the southernmost tip of mainland India. Kanyakumari is popular for its beautiful beaches, unique Vivekananda Rock Memorial, and stunning sunrise and sunset views. It is also a major pilgrimage center for Hindus.

Madurai has a rich historical background in the sense that Lord Shiva himself performed sixty-four wonders called “Thiruvilaiyadals”. As early as the 3rd century BC, Megasthanes visited Madurai. Later many people from Rome and Greece visited Madurai and established trade with the Pandya kings.

Kanyakumari to rameshwaram ( Approx 6-7 Hours Drive)

Rameshwaram to Madhurai (Approx 4-5 Hours Drive)
