While the debate about the wettest place on earth is an ongoing one, Mawsynram, also in Meghalaya, is known to receive higher rainfall than Cherrapunji.

Arrival at Guwahati Airport – Shillong (100 km / 04 hrs. approx.)

On arrival at Guwahati Airport you will get a warm welcome and transfer to Shillong. On the way visit “Umiam Lake” which is also known as “Barapani Lake” where you can do boating (by yourself) as you reach, check in at your hotel. In the evening you are free to explore local areas by yourself. Overnight stay at the hotel in Shillong.

Day 2

Shillong – Cherrapunji Sightseeing (60 km / 02 hrs. approx.)

Morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Cherrapunji – the wettest place on the earth. Visit Mawsmai Cave and Eco Park from Eco Park, You can catch a glimpse of Sylhet Plains Neighbouring Bangladesh. On the way, visit Mawkdok Valley – a very prominent sightseeing spot. Nohsngithiang Falls, Seven Sisters Falls is the next attraction on the way. The falls is an epitome of unity of the seven states of north east India, thus the name. After sightseeing check in to the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel in Cherrapunji.

Day 3

Excursion to Double Decker Route Bridge

Morning after breakfast, proceed to explore Double Decker Living Root Bridge in Nongriat Village these are 2 bridges that are stacked one on the other, made because of the entanglement of roots. Today we will also cover Rainbow Waterfall, the falls flows over a natural lava cave, the mythological home to Hina, an ancient Hawaiian goddess situated near Double Decker Root Bridge and it is one of the famous waterfalls in Meghalaya and among the popular places to visit in Cherrapunji. After excursion return back to the hotel and overnight stay in Cherrapunji.

Day 4

Cherrapunji – Mawlynnong & Dawki – Shillong (160 kms / 05 hrs. approx.)

Morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Mawlynnong – “Asia’s Cleanest Village”. Mawlynnong offers many interesting sights such as the living root bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another small rock. Later proceed to Dawki, a small town near India Bangladesh Border. Enjoy a boat ride on Dawki River. Also enjoy a breath-taking view of the Umngot River. Evening drive back to Shillong. Day 5

Excursion to Jowai – Shillong (150 km/ 05 hrs. approx.)

Morning after breakfast, and proceed for a day tour of Jowai. Today we will cover Laitlum Canyon view point. The Laitlum Canyons offers paranomic views that extend over deep valleys, steep cliffs and rolling hills. Karang Suri Fall is one of the most mesmerizing waterfalls in Meghalaya, offering breathtaking views of blue water that blend perfectly with the sky and also visit Phe Phe Falls, Tyrshi Falls. After visiting, transfer to Shillong. As reach check in to the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel in Shillong.

Day 6

Shillong local sightseeing – Guwahati (100 km / 03 hrs. approx.)
