Overview

Gangtok is the capital of the mountainous northern Indian state of Sikkim. Established as a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the 1840s, the city became capital of an independent monarchy after British rule ended, but joined India in 1975. Today, it remains a Tibetan Buddhist center and a base for hikers organizing permits and transport for treks through Sikkim’s Himalayan mountain ranges.

Pelling is a small town in the northeastern Indian state of Sikkim, at the foothills of Mount Khangchendzonga. The late-17th-century Buddhist Sanga Choling Monastery has mountain views.

Darjeeling is a town in India's West Bengal state, in the Himalayan foothills. Once a summer resort for the British Raj elite, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Train,” completed in 1881. It's famed for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dot its surrounding slopes. Its backdrop is Mt. Kanchenjunga, among the world’s highest peaks.

On reaching Check in to Hotel refresh yourself and Later visit MG Marg for Shopping and you can also enjoy the street food later Overnight stay at Hotel. Note: On MG Marg cars are not accesible so you have to cover the same on Foot.

Day 2

Gangtok Sightseeing

After a sumptuous breakfast visit Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft), Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.) and Nathula Pass which is 55 kms one way from Gangtok city. Spend overnight at hotel in Gangtok. (If due to landslide or bad road condition Tsomgo Lake is closed then alternate sightseeing will be provided. ISSUANCE OF PERMIT FOR NATHULA PASS DEPENDS UPON THE AVAIALABILITY. IT IS CLOSED ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY. IF THE GUEST WANTS TO AVAIL THE NATHULA PASS THEN THEY WILL HAVE TO INFORM US MINIMUM 3 DAYS PRIOR TO THE TRIP. ONCE THE PERMIT IS ISSUED AND DUE TO ANY WEATHER CONDITION IF THE ROADS ARE CLOSED THEN THE CHARGES WOULD BE NON REFUNDABLE

After a delightful breakfast start for the full day city tour covering Tashi view point, Ganesh Tok & Hanuman Tok, Enchey Monastery , Bakthang Falls, Cottage Industry, Dro-dul Chorten, Institute of Tibetology, Flower show and Handicraft Center. Spend overnight at hotel in Gangtok.

Gangtok to Pelling

In the afternoon start for 2nd half tour - Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdantse Ruins, New Halipad Ground. Evening at leisure. Spend overnight at hotel in Pelling.

Pelling to Darjeeling

Today get ready early morning by 4 a.m to witness the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzongha(28,208 ft. ,Worlds 3rd highest peak ) at Tiger Hill. Its a destination by itself offering not just great views during sunrise; its a place where you can soak yourself with Himalayan serenity anytime during the day. Thrill yourself by visiting World famous Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop on your way back. Batasia Loop is fascinating to watch the toy train with its way round the loop. The War Memorial constructed in the memory of brave sons of Darjeeling who died in different wars since 1947, is worth a visit. A glorious view of snowy peak and town can be seen from this place. After a sumptuous breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed)Tea Garden, Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda and Ropeway (Ticket cost not included and will be approx Rs.180 per person-directly payable).
