Overview

Shillong is a hill station in northeast India and capital of the state of Meghalaya. It’s known for the manicured gardens at Lady Hydari Park. Nearby, Ward’s Lake is surrounded by walking trails. North, the Don Bosco Centre for Indigenous Cultures features displays on the region’s native people. Waterfalls include the Elephant Falls to the southwest. East of here, forested Shillong Peak offers city views.

Cherrapunjee, also known as Sohra, is a high-altitude town in the northeast Indian state of Meghalaya. It's known for its living root bridges, made from rubber trees. To the northeast, Mawkdok Dympep Valley View Point overlooks verdant gorges. In the surrounding hills, the Noh-Kalikai, Dain-Thlen and Kynrem waterfalls plunge from forested clifftops. South of town, Mawsmai Cave is illuminated to show its stalagmites.

Guwahati is a sprawling city beside the Brahmaputra River in the northeast Indian state of Assam. It’s known for holy sites like the hilltop Kamakhya Temple, featuring shrines to the Hindu deities Shiva and Vishnu. To the east, 18th-century Navagraha Temple is an astronomical center with planetary shrines. Umananda Temple, dedicated to Shiva and covered with engravings, stands on Peacock Island in the river.

On arrival at Guwahati Airport/Railway station you will get a warm welcome and transfer to Shillong. On the way visit “Umiam Lake” which is also known as “Barapani Lake” where you can do boating (by yourself) as you reach, check in at your hotel. In the evening you are free to explore local areas by yourself. Overnight stay at the hotel in Shillong.

Day 2

Shillong – Cherrapunji (60 km / 02 hrs. approx.)

Morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Cherrapunji – the wettest place on the earth. Visit Arwah Cave, Mawsmai Cave and Eco Park from Eco Park, You can catch a glimpse of Sylhet Plains Neighbouring Bangladesh. On the way, visit Mawkdok Valley – a very prominent sightseeing spot. Nohsngithiang Falls, Seven Sisters Falls is the next attraction on the way. The falls is an epitome of unity of the seven states of north east India, thus the name. After sightseeing check in to the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel in Cherrapunji.

Day 3

Excursion to Double Decker Route Bridge:-

Morning after breakfast, proceed to explore Double Decker Living Root Bridge in Nongriat Village these are 2 bridges that are stacked one on the other, made because of the entanglement of roots. Today we will also cover Rainbow Waterfall, the falls flows over a natural lava cave, the mythological home to Hina, an ancient Hawaiian goddess situated near Double Decker Root Bridge and it is one of the famous waterfalls in Meghalaya and among the popular places to visit in Cherrapunji. After the excursion return back to the hotel and overnight stay in Cherrapunji.

Day 4

Cherrapunji – Mawlynnong & Dawki (85 km / 03 hrs. approx.):-

After an early breakfast drive to Mawlynnong – “Asia’s Cleanest Village”. Mawlynnong offers many interesting sights such as the living root bridge and another strange Natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another small rock. Later proceed to Dawki, a small town near India Bangladesh border. Enjoy a breath-taking view of the Umngot River. Also experienced boat riding at Dawki River. Evening drive back to Shillong. Stay overnight at your hotel in Shillong.

Day 5

Mawlynnong – Jowai – Shillong (150 km/ 05 hrs. approx.):-

Morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed for a day tour of Jowai. Today we will cover Latinum Canyon view point, Karang Suri Fall and Tyrshi Falls. Later back to Shillong. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Morning after breakfast, proceed to enjoy a local sightseeing tour of Shillong, ‘Scotland of the East’. You will be proceeded to visit Elephant Falls, Don Bosco Museum, The mesmerizing Lady Hydra Park, Ward’s Lake and Cathedral Catholic Church. After sightseeing, return back to the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel in Shillong.

Day 7

Shillong – Guwahati (100 km / 03 hrs. approx.):-
