SOU (Statue of Unity Tour) is our unhurried version of Gujarat's most visited attraction. Instead of a long day trip, you spend two nights at Kevadia so you can see the viewing gallery in the morning light, the jungle safari park and butterfly garden in the afternoon and the laser show after dark, all without queues eating your day. The return to Ahmedabad takes in the Swaminarayan temple at Poicha and the Laxmi Vilas Palace in Vadodara.
From ₹15,000 per person the price includes The Fern Sardar Sarovar Resort (4★) at Kevadia and Treatotel Hotel (3★) in Ahmedabad with breakfast, a private AC car for four days and all transfers. Attraction tickets are booked online by slot and paid separately; we reserve them for your dates.
The Statue of Unity is the world's tallest statue, with a height of 182 metres, located near Kevadia in the state of Gujarat, India. It depicts Indian statesman and independence activist Vallabhbhai Patel, who was the first deputy prime minister and home minister of independent India and an adherent of Mahatma Gandhi.

Getting there from Ahmedabad
Kevadia is about 200 km from Ahmedabad: 3.5 to 4 hours on the expressway via Vadodara and Dabhoi, in a private AC car with a tea stop. Visitors from other cities fly into Ahmedabad or Vadodara, or take a train to Vadodara, 90 km from Kevadia; we collect you wherever you land. The Ekta Nagar railway station at Kevadia has direct trains from Ahmedabad on some days, which we can use for the outward leg if you prefer rail.
Good to know before you book
- Best months: October to March for pleasant weather; the Valley of Flowers and gardens look best after the monsoon. Avoid Mondays, when the statue complex is closed, and expect crowds on weekends and around 31 October.
- Food: the resort and the Kevadia food court serve pure-veg Gujarati food; Jain meals are available on request.
- Who it suits: families with children and grandparents, school groups travelling privately, and visitors passing through Gujarat.
- Customisation: stay in the Tent City instead, add river rafting or the Zarwani waterfall, or extend to Pavagadh and Champaner.

Are Statue of Unity tickets included?
No, because they are sold online by date and time slot. We book the viewing gallery, safari and show tickets for you as soon as your dates are fixed and add them at cost.
Is two nights at Kevadia too long?
Not if you want the full complex. The statue, dam, jungle safari, Arogya Van, cactus garden, river cruise and laser show easily fill a day and two evenings.
Which day is the Statue of Unity closed?
Mondays, for maintenance. We never schedule day 2 on a Monday; if your dates fall that way we swap the Vadodara day.
Is vegetarian and Jain food available at Kevadia?
Yes. The resort serves pure-veg Gujarati food and the complex food court is vegetarian. Jain meals are arranged on request.
Can we stay at the Tent City instead of the resort?
Yes. The Tent City has air-conditioned tents with meals and cultural activities and is usually similar in price. Tell us your preference when booking.
