Overview

Most important town of the Kutch region, Bhuj is a fascinating tourist attraction with amazing handicrafts and gigantic palaces that possess an eerie beauty. Moreover, Bhuj is an ideal textile tourism destination and attracts millions of people from across the world. Famous Historians says that Bhuj got its name from the mountain range, Bhujiyo Dungar hillock that overlooks the city about 3 km from the city center.

 

Dhordo is a small village located in Kutch district, Gujarat, India. This village is situated within Bhuj taluk on the edge of the India-Pakistan border and is around 86 KM from Bhuj. The village is home to an annual 3-month festival called 'Rann Utsav'. 

 

The Rann of Kutch is a large area of salt marshes that span the border between India and Pakistan. It is located mostly in the Kutch district of the Indian state of Gujarat, with a minor portion extending into the Sindh province of Pakistan. It is divided into the Great Rann and Little Rann. 

 

Jamnagar is a city in the western Indian state of Gujarat. On an island in Lakhota Lake, Lakhota Palace and Museum is a former fort that exhibits weapons, sculptures and pottery from the 9th to 18th centuries. At Bala Hanuman Temple, the Rama Naam prayer has been chanted continuously since 1964. To the northeast, the marshlands of Khijadiya Bird Sanctuary attract spotted deer, painted storks and migratory birds. 

 

Dwarka is an ancient city in the northwestern Indian state of Gujarat. It’s known as a Hindu pilgrimage site. The ancient Dwarkadhish Temple has an elaborately tiered main shrine, a carved entrance and a black-marble idol of Lord Krishna. Dwarka Beach and nearby Dwarka Lighthouse offer views of the Arabian Sea. Southeast, Gaga Wildlife Sanctuary protects migratory birds and endangered species like the Indian wolf.

 

The Somnath temple, also called Somanātha temple or Deo Patan, is a Hindu temple located in Prabhas Patan, Veraval in Gujarat, India. It is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites for Hindus and is the first among the twelve jyotirlinga shrines of Shiva.

 

Gir Forest National Park is a wildlife sanctuary in Gujarat, western India. It was established to protect Asiatic lions, who frequent the fenced-off Devalia Safari Park, along with leopards and antelopes. Gir Jungle Trail, outside the fenced area, traverses deciduous forest and is home to wildlife including vultures and pythons. The Kamleshwar Dam has marsh crocodiles and birds, such as Indian skimmers and pelicans.
