Getting there from Ahmedabad
There is no non-stop flight from Ahmedabad to Male, so we route you via Mumbai, Bengaluru or Kochi; the Kochi–Male sector is only about 1.5 hours. Total travel time is usually 6 to 8 hours. Speedboat transfers from the airport run in daylight, so we pick flights that land in Male before late afternoon; a very late arrival may mean a night in Hulhumale. Fares from Ahmedabad are lowest in May–June and September–October.

- Best months: December to April is dry with calm seas. May to October is monsoon with short showers and lower rates, still good for a budget stay.
