Overview

Gangtok is the capital of the mountainous northern Indian state of Sikkim. Established as a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the 1840s, the city became capital of an independent monarchy after British rule ended, but joined India in 1975. Today, it remains a Tibetan Buddhist center and a base for hikers organizing permits and transport for treks through Sikkim’s Himalayan mountain ranges.

Lachung is a mountain village close to the Tibetan border, in the northeastern Indian state of Sikkim. It's divided by the Lachung River.

Pelling is a small town in the northeastern Indian state of Sikkim, at the foothills of Mount Khangchendzonga. The late-17th-century Buddhist Sanga Choling Monastery has mountain views.

Darjeeling is a town in India's West Bengal state, in the Himalayan foothills. Once a summer resort for the British Raj elite, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Train,” completed in 1881.

Kalimpong is an east Indian hill town in the Himalayan foothills of West Bengal. Perched on a ridge above the Teesta River, it’s home to colonial-era buildings like MacFarlane Memorial Church, named after a Scottish missionary.

After a sumptuous breakfast visit Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.) & Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.) which is 55 kms one way from Gangtok city, Spend overnight at hotel in Gangtok, (If due to landslide or bad road condition Tsomgo Lake is closed then alternate sightseeing will be provided). SUPPLEMENTARY COST FOR NATHULA PASS : Rs 5000/- PER VEHICLE *ISSUANCE OF PERMIT FOR NATHULA PASS DEPENDS UPON THE AVAIALABILITY. IT IS CLOSED ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY. IF THE GUEST WANTS TO AVAIL THE NATHULA PASS THEN THEY WILL HAVE TO INFORM US MINIMUM 3 DAYS PRIOR TO THE TRIP. Gangtok to Lachung

Today get ready early morning by 4 a.m to witness the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzongha(28,208 ft. ,Worlds 3rd highest peak ) at Tiger Hill. Its a destination by itself offering not just great views during sunrise; its a place where you can soak yourself with Himalayan serenity anytime during the day. Thrill yourself by visiting World famous Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop on your way back. Batasia Loop is fascinating to watch the toy train with its way round the loop. The War Memorial constructed in the memory of brave sons of Darjeeling who died in different wars since 1947, is worth a visit. A glorious view of snowy peak and town can be seen from this place. After a sumptuous breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed)Tea Garden, Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda and Ropeway (Ticket cost not included and will be approx Rs.180 per person-directly payable).
