Overview

The Seychelles is an archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean, off East Africa. It's home to numerous beaches, coral reefs and nature reserves, as well as rare animals such as giant Aldabra tortoises. Mahé, a hub for visiting the other islands, is home to capital Victoria. It also has the mountain rainforests of Morne Seychellois National Park and beaches, including Beau Vallon and Anse Takamaka.

After arriving at the Mahe international airport, you are welcomed by our tour representative in this tropical paradise. He offers you an assisted transfer to the hotel. After you are done with the check-in formalities, the rest of the day is at leisure. Discover the beauty of the sea on this full day reef safari tour. Starting with a pick up from your hotel you will be taken to Victoria's marina. You will then board a catamaran 'Catalina' for a trip to the middle of the harbour. In the 1st stop you will have the opportunity to feed the fish and the possibility to discover the fascinating underwater world either by snorkelling or swimming. You will enjoy on board the catamaran a mouth watering buffet lunch prepared in a traditional Creole style. After lunch the marine enthusiasts will have another opportunity to discover the reefs through the windows of the semi-submersible vessel or for the people who wish to relax they will have the chance to swim or simply enjoy sun bathing on the beach off Cerf island. Before heading back to the marina a 'petit rum punch des iles' will be served on board to end this beautiful day.You will be transferred back to your accommodation.

The tour begins with a pick up from your hotel where you will then be taken to the colonial centre of the world's smallest capital Victoria. Here you will see the court building, museum, post office, Clock tower (which is a twin of the clock outside Victorian station in London). We visit the 'codevar' building where local craft such or kreol or (Creole Gold) are on display for sale. A walk across Albert street will take us to to the colourful market where numerous stalls of tropical fruits, vegetables, fresh fishes, herbs and spices are on display in an abundance of fragrances. We then drive across the Sans Souci mountain for a photo stop at the historical Mission Lodge and then en-route to a quaint Creole restaurant for lunch. After lunch the tour continues to the southern tip of the island to the restored colonial plantation of 'Jardin du Roi', which is steeped in the short hisotry of the Creoles as well of the George's family, whose family tree apparently carries a link to Louis XVII of France. A cold drink of home-grown fruit welcomes visitors before starting the visit of the surrounding plantation of vegetables, exotic fruits, herbs and spices. The rest of the afternoon will be more chilled out before being taken back to the hotel you will have a stop at the craft village.
